Yesterday was very busy and mosquitoes are well fed…

Svetochka helped, by taking pictures and calming me down 😉 , as I installed a window. She is the biggest helper there is. I am serious….I figured out after a bit of studying the situation and salvaged the beautiful frame/trim of the window…

I was grumpy, but just cannot stay that way, for Svetochka just loved the new window and she thinks I am the best guy in the world….Now how can you argue with that logic?

We built a screen for the window last night and I hope Sveta gets images of the basically finished product today. Today we need to paint everything…

Our only water is from a source about two kilometers away. By foot and apple cart with buckets in it. Vova has been busy working on the source and it has good water now. I call it the water coffin…

Since our well is dead for the second time in a year. It looks like it will be awhile until someone finds the money to fix the well and the village is original monastery source water only now….pictures of that source above…

Wet year and in Russia a wet year brings Mosquitoes…

I swear that God was feeling mischievous when he added the mosquitoes to the food chain of life. Other than frogs, bats and swallows, I am not sure that there is a creature on earth that does not fear the mosquito and who does not act like an elephant when it meets a mouse…

For they simply only equate to vampires and all other blood sucking things in folklore and or real life. They just want to suck your blood and go have more blood sucking offspring…

Jeez Wiz…

Mosquitoes are very very bad this year…

Today I am sick from so many bites. This happens every time I get to the village. I have to build up a resistance to them, thus today I feel like crud…

Need to mow the grass today and we have to look at a neighbors home to see what needs to be done to help it survive another year.  The gentleman and good friend of mine died this last winter and the family gave us the keys to the place to get some things out for them and bring back to Moscow with us, to give to them. I think they may just let us keep the keys, the family has no interest in the Tiny Russian Village…

Nice place, who knows what will happen with it. If I could gather enough money, like 100,000 rubles ($1500 or so) I would offer them to buy it. For it is a nice place…

Until then, we will keep it up…

Just started to rain!

Maybe it is time to lay back down and read a book this morning. Svetochka is snoozing away and the rain is falling and I am done here on WtR for now…
