“Closet is Bare”: US missile supply running low as Biden arms Kiev (reports)

US stockpiles of Javelin and Stinger missiles may take years to refill, as analysts warn that shipments to Ukraine have left supplies depleted, and manufacturers unable to keep up with demand due to parts shortages. (CNN)

America has already depleted a quarter of its Stinger and a third of its Javelin missile launchers. Raytheon Technologies, makers of several weapons systems has warned that it cannot increase production until next year.

An anonymous White House official spoke of a need to ‘examine bottlenecks,’ saying that the Pentagon was considering a range of options to boost production while US Sen. Richard Blumenthal told a recent Congressional Armed Services Committee, “The closet is bare.”

The weapons, such as howitzers, do not get used against the Russian army. They are at best used once or twice and basically against civilians in Donbass and against their own people to terrorize them…

🇺🇦A soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told about his disappointment in American weapons.

“The much—vaunted grenade launchers “Jawelin” and “NLAW”, which are very much advertised, have shown themselves to be different in practice,” the captured soldier said.

According to him, shells often exploded before reaching the target, and most of the batteries of missile systems were expired.

The very training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in handling Western weapons took place “quickly”, but even during the exercises there were misfires.

Britain’s Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has said the defence of one by all at the heart of the Nato alliance must become a global security and economic principle.Ms Truss told leaders at Mansion House in the City of London that the new geopolitics after the Russian invasion of Ukraine meant that Nato countries should operate defence alliances beyond Europe. “I mean that Nato must have a global outlook, ready to tackle global threats,” she said. “We need to pre-empt threats in the Indo-Pacific, working with allies like Japan and Australia to ensure that the Pacific is protected.” Ms Truss said the G7 countries should adopt a similar approach, “collectively defending our prosperity”.

What does this all mean and why it is important?

First off if it isn’t obvious that the West has decided to cut its throat to destroy Russia and damn to all if you do not desire to suffer for the good of the Western Empire of Lies desires…

If Mr Putin were victorious, there would be “untold further misery across Europe”, and “terrible consequences across the globe”.

Ms Truss said Europe must cut itself off from Russian energy supplies and stop sending millions of dollars into Mr Putin’s war chest.

“There must be nowhere for Putin to go to fund this appalling war,” she said. “That means cutting off oil and gas imports once and for all.”

Now that should make you feel warm and fuzzy for the West. We must cut off Energy supplies from Russia and we must do it now….this is in the face of reality. The EU cannot replace Russian energy and that is that. Try it and you EU humans will suffer and die. But hey, we gotta kill Russia, Right?

Yesterday’s News of the Week devoted more than 45 minutes to Russian military operations on the ground. The message has changed to what we are doing there. Television viewers were led by the Rossiya team of war zone reporters through the wrecked forests and fields of the Kharkov oblast in northeastern Ukraine as well as in newly liberated parts of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Filming from an armored all-terrain vehicle, they showed us kilometers long stretches of burned out Ukrainian tanks and other heavy military gear as well as dozens and dozens of corpses of Ukrainian soldiers “killed in action” and left behind to rot by their fast retreating comrades and deserters. Then came interviews with Ukrainian prisoners of war, whose faces and words tell a very different story from the heroic encomiums raining down from Zelensky and his entourage. Finally, there were interviews with some of the civilians who were let out of the Azovstal underground complex these past couple of days and made their way to freedom via the humanitarian corridor which the Russians set up each afternoon.
