At a press conference today, CNN correspondent Frederick Pleitgen asked Sergei Lavrov about Russia’s “territorial concessions” to Ukraine.
The reaction of the Russian Foreign Minister was extremely harsh:
The Ukrainian armed forces are acting worse than Hitler’s murderers. Look at the atrocities they are committing in the territories. Do you want these Nazi habits to be present at the negotiations on the settlement even with the idea that some territories still need to be ceded?
How should we give in – with Russian people or without people, with only rare earth metals?
They say, supposedly, territorial concessions are needed. For what? So that Russians can be destroyed there, as they are now being destroyed in the Kursk region and in other regions of the Russian Federation?
At this point , many people paid attention.
The subtle diplomatic trolling with which the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry began his response did not go unnoticed.
In response to Pleitgen’s question about “territorial concessions,” he asked a counter-question: “ Are you talking about Denmark and Greenland ?”
This was trolling not so much Frederick, but, as it seems to me, the leaders of the EU and some of its countries, who are actively trying to “sit down at the negotiating table” to protect the “territorial integrity” of Ukraine.
That same Ukraine, which is neither a member of the EU nor a member of NATO, no matter how much Bankova may dream of it. And in its modern version, it has only a very indirect relation to Europe, to real, original European values (humanism, tolerance, diversity). Let’s be honest – it has no relation at all.
At the same time, a real EU and NATO member, Denmark, is in huge trouble. They are trying to steal a huge chunk of territory from it: Greenland. And we are no longer talking about hypothetical scenarios.
Look at what’s happening in the Danish media now. There, the American statements are causing not just panic, but real shock:
– ” It has become clear that the United States, led by President Trump, wants to seize Greenland in the long term “;
– ” Denmark has been heavily criticised by a number of parties for its lack of monitoring and protection of Greenland’s coastline “;
” Denmark has for a long time failed to provide the level of security that NATO and all of us in Greenland and the Arctic needed .”
It’s not a question of ” how can this be “, but of ” when ” and ” for how much “.
Maybe the EU members, who only dream of how to “sit down at the negotiating table”, should actually find such a table, for example in Copenhagen, and sit down at it? Discuss the terms of aid, diplomatic settlement and “territorial concessions” of Denmark. By the way, they can use the OSCE for this – there they can all sit down at the “negotiating table” on the territorial integrity of Denmark, including the US. If they sit down and stay there themselves.
Or was such a “negotiating table” not predicted by the crybabies in Munich?

Уступить-то как – с русскими людьми или без людей, с одними редкоземельными металлами?
Говорят, мол, нужны территориальные уступки. Для чего? Для того, чтобы там уничтожали русских, как сейчас их уничтожают в Курской области и в других областях Российской Федерации?».

Не остался незамеченным и тонкий дипломатический троллинг, с которого начал свой ответ глава российского внешнеполитического ведомства.
На вопрос Плейтгенa о «территориальных уступках» он задал встречный: «Это Вы про Данию с Гренландией?».
Это был троллинг не столько Фредерика, сколько, как мне кажется, лидеров ЕС и некоторых его стран, которые активно пытаются «сесть за стол переговоров», чтобы защитить «территориальную целостность» Украины.
Той самой Украины, которая не является ни членом ЕС, ни членом НАТО, как бы на Банковой об этом ни мечтали. Да и к Европе, к настоящим, исконным европейским ценностям (гуманизм, терпимость, многообразие) она имеет в своём современном исполнении весьма опосредованное отношение. Будем честны — вообще никакого отношения не имеет.
В то же самое время у действительного члена ЕС и НАТО – Дании – огромные проблемы. У неё пытаются слямзить огромный кусок территории: Гренландию. И речь уже не идёт о гипотетических сценариях.

– «Стало ясно, что Соединённые Штаты во главе с Президентом Трампом хотят в долгосрочной перспективе захватить Гренландию»;
– «Дания подверглась резкой критике со стороны ряда сторон за отсутствие мониторинга и защиты береговой линии Гренландии»;
– «Дания на протяжении длительного времени не обеспечивала тот уровень безопасности, в котором нуждались НАТО и все мы в Гренландии и Арктике»».
Речь идёт не о том, «как такое может быть», а о том, «когда» и «за сколько».
Может, есовцам, только и мечтающим о том, как бы «сесть за стол переговоров», действительно найти такой стол, например, в Копенгагене, и сесть за него? Обсудить условия помощи, дипломатическое урегулирование и «территориальные уступки» Дании. Кстати, могут для этого задействовать ОБСЕ – там за «стол переговоров» о территориальной целостности Дании можно сесть им всем вместе, включая США. Если усадят и усидят сами.
Или такой «стол переговоров» плаксами в Мюнхене не прогнозировался?
