Georgia on my Mind…

Tomorrow at this time, Sveta and I will be running around Georgia and to be more specific Tbilisi, Georgia. It is time to see what opportunities are there, social and business wise…

We are going to spend about a week there and it looks according to the weather that we are taking the cold with us. It seems according to all the weather reports that Tbilisi, Georgia will drop back into the freezing weather as we arrive and stay that way until we leave. In contrast Moscow will warm up until we come back from Georgia… (That is the story of our lives!)

As always we will take lots of pictures and I will at least post a few articles. The flat we are renting has internet and the little net book will be traveling with us. We are spending $40 dollars a day for a flat. It has a kitchenette, separate bathroom, double bed, hot water all day, balcony and is located in the old part of Tbilisi. We even have someone for $20 dollars already lined up to meet us at the airport and take us to the Flat. All money will be transacted in dollars and that seems to be the norm through out most of Georgia. Turkey was that way also, as everyone carries a calculator and can instantly exchange money like it is second nature…

We picked the location because we can get to a metro quickly and it is walking distance to many main attraction areas to see and visit. I also have business to attend to and it looks like we will be located perfect for that…

So next stop and post – from Georgia…

Georgia on my mind!

Comparative analysis of Russia’s demise in 1917 and of the USA’s now: By Alexander Gofen…

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. (John Adams, October 11, 1798)

Our Constitution was made only for moral and religious people of the Judeo-Christian faith, living on an isolated continent. It is wholly inadequate to the government and people of any other faith. It is wholly inadequate under conditions of wide openness to hostile ideologies and people carrying them. (The 2011 updated version!)

In spite of the time difference of about 100 years, the Russian Empire had fallen, and the United States is in the process of fall due to the similar causes:  the negligence and failure to confront the destructive forces of Marxism.

Russian Empire

The United States of America

Prior to 1917: About 40 years of slightly suppressed Marxist propaganda.Between 1905 and 1917: the militant Marxists extorted money from capitalists, while many other rich people joined and financed the Marxists willingly.Yet prior to 1917 Marxism is still mostly unknown and unpopular in Russia. Despite the known history of Russia after 1917, for about 100 years United States completely neglected the threat of Marxism and allowed it to spread at all levels of government and private institutions.Yet prior to the 1950s Marxism was still rather unpopular in the US. Some attempts to fight it back took place by Sen. J. McCarthy or historian Skousen. After the 1960s however, Marxism was spreading freely. It has consumed the system of education completely. The (demagogic) Marxist talk points became a standard for the entire political system. The mass media became 100% Marxist. All the rich and powerful who speak out accepted the Marxist demagogy, no exceptions (1).
Since resignation of the Emperor of Russia in February 1917, the Temporary government was too weak and too liberal. That government ignored the intelligence that Germany purposely let the train through its territory in 1917 with the so called “sealed cars” delivering V. Lenin and his team of the most militant Bolsheviks into Russia. Germany also financed this team with multi million support funds wishing the Bolsheviks to take power in Russia. The Temporary government ignored this threat, and never acted adequately against Lenin – a German spy. Using these funds, Bolsheviks had bought newspapers and a lot of influence just in a few months of 1917.In doing so, on November 7, 1917, in almost bloodless silent coup Bolsheviks dismissed the Constitutional Convention and the Temporary government. Since that moment they established a dictatorship, which at first seemed hardly noticeable by anybody. The strategists and law enforcing agencies in the US have completely neglected the spread of Marxism in the US. These agencies were rather picking the wind and reading the wish of the “political elite“.The law enforcement deliberately ignored the money sources and illegal activity of peoples like Soros, clubs like Bilderberg, and the “one world government” ideologues. Therefore in 2008 a constitutionally unqualified (not US natural born) candidate, a Marxist, an agent of influence and Moslem sympathizer, identity thief, fraud and forger Obama/Soetoro was promoted, allowed to campaign and to win the US presidency – unobstructed by even one political leader, election commission, or any other official! Unobstructed by his opponents McCain and Palin! Unobstructed by the opposition – Republican – party. In fact, Republicans, McCain and Palin cooperated with the rival in order that he win: They did vet McCain’s qualifications (Sen. Res 511, 2008) but had never done it for the opponent. Republicans keep helping the usurper to win up to this moment in 2012, when it is already discovered that the usurper is a fraud and identity thief. They carefully avoid bringing fore or even hinting to any of the numerous crimes of Obama – the rival, whom they supposedly wish to win.According to the analysis compiled by J. Williams, many representatives of the elite and the legislature desired to see Obama a president and paved the way for him many years prior to 2008, yet their activity was ignored. So the November of 2008 became a day of a de-facto coup in the US, when the Constitution was silently and willingly abandoned by all the political parties and by the three “as though independent” branches of the government. This coup (now in progress) first seemed hardly noticeable by anybody.
In 1917-1920 despite of the German cash, Bolsheviks still were mostly unknown and unpopular in wider Russia: especially due to their militant atheism. However they had succeeded to quickly grab the power in several cities. There were no independent branches of government in Russia, nor any tradition of law obedience. There was no judiciary branch through which the patriots could contest the coup. The Army was the only possible force of resistance then in Russia, which could confront the coup, and so it did. Unlike Russia in 1917-1920, the Marxism in America became widely known and welcomed by a great proportion of citizenry (near 50%). These relatively new type of citizenry emerged due to grotesquely generous entitlements of the government. The government was incapable and unwilling to zip its wallet, and it just zealously placated the unproductive class (something unthinkable in Russia (2)). That citizenry completely lost the work ethic and spiritual foundation proper to American citizenry prior to ascend of Marxism. Therefore, the coup of 2008 in the US not only was hardly identified as such, but worse: “The change” was welcomed by the majority.Unlike in Russia of 1917, the old three branches of government in America formally remained in power. Yet they maintained the state of total denial about the unconstitutionality of the impostor Obama/Soetoro, and about the very fact of the 2008 coup. The entire issue became a taboo.
The Russian Army those days was exhausted by the WWI, undermined and corrupted by the Marxist propaganda. Yet the elite of the Army and the middle echelon were still loyal to the lawful government of Russia. They did not join the Bolshevik coup and formed the so called White Army in order to defeat Bolsheviks and to restore the lawful government of Russia. There were many prominent generals in various parts of Russia which formed the parts of the White Army: Kolchak, Denikin, Wrangel – to name a few. Unlike in Russia, the US Army actually backed the coup (except only three middle level officers!). The US Army therefore has betrayed the oath to protect the US Constitution. As of this moment (March, 2012), there is no indication that something analogous to the Russian White Army may ever emerge in the US in a foreseeable future. The entire US Army plays the role of the Red Army of Russia in 1917-1921.As to the citizenry, only a small part of it has noticed and recognized the unconstitutionality of what happened in 2008. Theseconstitutionalists (mocked as “birthers” by the collaborators of the coup) are struggling for the full exposure and prosecution of the impostor. Unlike them, the so called Tea Parties (named so after the rebels of the 1770s) evade any mentioning of the illegitimacy issue, struggling only against certain policies of the “president”.The constitutionalists pursue the judicial line of fight challenging the courts (see below). However the courts so far audaciously sabotaged each and every attempt to hear the case in merits. The US courts now are no different from the Soviet “courts”.
The White Army unfortunately was defeated and betrayed. At the beginning the civil war was more successful for the White Army, which succeeded to catch the gold treasury of Russia. Unlike the constitutionalists in America, the parts of White Army were compactly located in various areas of wide Russia. Yet these parts of White Army were separated and unconnected geographically, while the Red Army in the center was one connected entity.Even more importantly, the White Army was (mostly) a voluntary army, and its human resource was limited, while the Red Army was mobilized via conscription by the Bolshevik dictatorship. For that reason alone the White Army was doomed. Also, in those days nobody in Russia could even imagine the scope and ugliness of the Bolshevik dictatorship as it unfolded later. And Russians then got already seduced by baseless promises of Marxists. The White Army was also betrayed by the world powers and even by some of its commanders. The world powers ceased any military help to the White Army – not understanding at all the peril of the Bolshevism for the entire world. As of March, 2012, no part of the US Army is up to disobeying the usurper Obama/Soetoro and the treasonous military brass. No part of it appears ready to split away into a separate White Army with the goal to protect the Constitution.Even if a certain number of personnel decided to do so, it would be problematic to gain an access to the treasury, hardware, ammunition and high-tech.In the moment there is not one state among the 50 states which is ready to secede and to host a would-be White Army of America. So far the forces wishing to resist are thinly spread nation-wide, and it is unclear how even to bring them together compactly (not to mention how to feed and provide for them). There are no external political powers interested in helping the hypothetical American White Army in restoring the American Constitution (much less the former role of America as the super power).
No judicial attempts to restore the constitutional order in Russia had ever taken place. The judicial fight for restoration of the Constitutional order lasts since the end of 2008 and is still in progress.
There were numerous attempts of attorneys to file the cases in US courts. Yet all the cases were dismissed without hearing in merits: mostly on the ground as though American voters “have no standing” (i.e. they did not suffer a specific damage) because of election of a Constitutionally unqualified candidate! There were several decisions of American Grand Juries in 2009 which found Obama/Soetoro guilty in various crimes from fraud and perjury to treason. Then a prominent black pastor in Harlem, New York, James Davis Manning held a (people) trial in May 2010, which indicted Obama in the above mentioned crimes. In 2011 many experts filed their reports to FBI and other offices of state prosecution, in which reports the experts testified forgery of the officially presented documents of Obama. However neither of those state prosecution offices have followed the reports of the experts, private citizens, of American Grand Juries or the Manning (people) trial in May 2010.The leader of the judicial fight and its most prominent personality is Dr. Orly Taitz, Esq (now running for the US Senator from CA).In December 2011, the fight reached the next phase – the challenge to all 50 state election commissions, attempting to re-enter the illegitimate candidate Obama into the primary ballots the second time. The main source of information about various aspects of this fight is Dr. Taitz’ site http://www.orlytaitzesq.com/  and also a conservative news outlet http://www.wnd.com/ .In February 2012, the first hearing of the case in merits finally took place by GA administrative judge M. Malihi. Both constitutional and criminal charges against Obama/Soetoro therefore were first entered on official record. Dr. Orly Taitz brought the evidence and testimonies of 7 witnesses and experts, who all testified that the major personnel documentation of Obama/Soetoro is forged and faked. However the ruling of the judge was so grotesque that it rather symbolizes the end of Justice in this nation (see here and here). On March 1, 2012 the investigation group of Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County (Arizona) announced their first findings at a press conference for the mass media. The Sheriff had independently confirmed that the officially presented partial and full birth certificates of Obama were computer forgeries, and his military registration card was faked too. In other words, the sitting “president” appears to have no personnel documentation legitimizing his presidency. Moreover, he is implicated in a deliberate production of counterfeit documents. Normally such a sensational discovery ought to bring the mass media into the state of shock. It ought to explode into a nonstop extensive coverage of this scandal. However what happened to be sensational was rather the silence – the deafening silence! – of the major American media. It took the former mouthpiece of the Soviets the English issue of Pravda (Truth) to publish an in-depth analysis of the Sheriff’s report.

1) Amazingly accurately the demise of America was predicted already in 1984 by a defector from KGB Yuri Bezmenov. In our time (2010-2012) a group of authors compiled a video clip juxtaposing the original footage of the interview with Bezmenov 25 years ago vs. a series of the well recognizable culprits of America’s demise of the modern days.

2) In the USSR the Marxist demagoguery like “caring about the poor and downtrodden” was used only as propaganda talking points. Such humanitarian niceties as welfare, food stamps, or even short term unemployment checks had never existed there, nor could be even thought of.

Mrs. Oksana Gutseriyev wrote to Me! She needs help and it is an Emergency…

I received this e-mail also last night and after I read all the others and answered what was necessary and then posted an article about a couple more e-mails I received. I then turned my attention to this last e-mail that said “Emergency…”

An Emergency, please respond…
Greetings,I am Mrs. Oksana Gutseriyev, the wife of Russian multi billionaire Mr. Mikhail Gutseriyev’s, the former owner of Russneft Oil Company in Russia , i have a proposal for you If you know you can do this, contact me via my private box: mrs.oksanagutseriyev_m@yahoo.com.hk so that I can furnish you with more details but if my offer is of no appeal to you, delete this message and forget I ever contacted you. I await your reply,
Regards,
Mrs. Oksana Gutseriyev

Now who could pass up a letter like this? Since this particular Russian Billionaire has been in the news a lot and since he ran Russneft at one time. I figured hey a friend in high places would be perfect. Even if that friend had to run out of dodge so to speak to keep his ass out of jail in Russia for wrong doings that well, broke the law! Then if I help this upstanding gentleman to do what ever it is his wife wants done. I would be in good graces with the Western world because they have been spouting about the mistreatment of this poor billionaire for years. So…

I wrote a letter back…

Dear Mrs. Oksana Gutseriyev,

I am honored that you would write to me, as I am an America that is living in Russia for 6 years now. Being an American, I can associate with the fact that you have been put through hell by the Evil Russian Empire and all for ridiculous stipulations. So I find it in my heart to help you anyway that I can…

For you see I am a poor American verily able to survive in this cruel world of Russia and with your generosity for me helping you, maybe I will be able to return to the USA and live a life of peace and happiness again…

I am looking forward to the details of said transactions and will truly in my heart do all I can to right the wrongs that have been bestowed upon your family by the hate and deceit of the Russian government…

With regards!

Kyle Keeton

Lets see if they respond and lets see what is offered. I am sure there is millions of dollars involved and I could sure use some of those millions. I mean it is not an “African Reject E-mail” that we always get! Right? So it has gotta be legit! Right? I am going to dream about what I will do with all that money! Right?

I will let you know if I get a response… 🙂

Okay – A Cup of Coffee But I don’t Promise the World…

After multiples of E-mails and one comment in particular! I guess giving up on Windows to Russia is too much to ask for! But I will not promise that I will keep it at the level that it has been at for all these years…

Windows to Russia has 3225 posts as per when this article is posted. Some 65,000 comments in storage and of those 80% are hateful, sick and plain mean. The Windows to Russia domain exceeds 100,000,000 million page views a year easily and it generates nothing because it is a pro Russian website…

But I picked two responses that made me realize why I do it, all these years…

Kyle, Don’t give up! I have read this blog for years now and without it I would be lost in the morning as I look for your coffee thoughts. I know of at least 50 people in a huge office, that everyday talk about either how you tell us that the US is wrong, walk Boza, tell us why you love Russia and hate war with a passion. I cook your recipes and I look for what Putin is up to everyday and you have made me look around myself and see that we are pig-headed and the worse pigs are running the country, while we crash and burn, as our financial wealth is stripped from us by the government. I also watch and see how often that the site is down and that alone makes me angry that my tax money is directed at interrupting a website that I enjoy to look at. I look at your site twice a day and when nothing was posted yesterday! Something made me write to try to tell you that some of us want to read your Coffee Thoughts! Even though they are not made to be pro-USA! I really do think, but I have no way of knowing what to do to stop what I see! Write a few times a week and take a break. You have written more than most people ever dream of doing in there whole lifetime and it is about Russia and America! Donny

and…

Hello, same here I really love Russia because Russia feels closer to me than UK. I have been living in UK for 5 years now. I am 16 but before I came here the childhood songs I listened were Russian, the school I went to was Russian. When I came here I could see the subtle difference between the teachers in England and teachers in Russia. Russian teachers teach you from their heart, they want you to succeed. Here the teachers act like teaching is something they have to do or take it as a duty. So I like Russians because they have a real soul. They may seem harsh and cold, but inside them there is something nice in them. Nomin

So…

Here is a cup of coffee and my thoughts for today: I will continue, but I will slow down! I have several books I am writing and I really think that the hate is what is getting too me as much as anything. It gets tiring after awhile to have to be blasted with hate day in and day out over how evil Russia is…

The fact is that I do not see it. I do not see the evil Russia and I deal with Russia everyday. I do business in Russia, drive in Russia, walk in Russia, travel in Russia and everything else you can think of in Russia. Russia has not asked for, or demanded a bribe in over three years. Russia has been safe and secure for me, with the exception of my car being stolen once and that happened several times to me in America in my past…

So I can’t lie and tell you that all that your hear in the Western Propaganda about Russia is true. It is not true and in fact it is the opposite. Take what you hear that is bad about Russia and reverse it, then you get how it really is. Just like take what you are spoon fed about America and reverse it and that is how it really is. This information I talk about is the information that come from Western Media mainly…

I have been approached dozens of times by e-mail to change my stance on how I write things as in comparison to Russia and America. I have had multiples of government organizations ask me to slant the truth for the sake of my country. I have ultimately been slandered and attacked at every corner…

Yesterday alone Windows to Russia was knocked offline 7 times. It was attacked again and again and again. Sveta and I have a system down now that keeps it online and usually it is only down 10 minutes at the most. But yesterday they got so stupid that they took us down for an hour. They kept at it and every time I would get the site back up, I found that they were still targeted on us…

Who is this that is doing this? Good question and here is a list of IP’s that attacked us last week alone:

cbcp1.dhs.gov, cbcp3.dhs.gov, cbcp5.dhs.gov, cbcp6.dhs.gov, cbcp4.dhs.gov,whois dhs.gov, dhs.gov, postmaster.rfc-ignorant.org, abuse.rfc-ignorant.org, Secretservice.gov, oig.dhs.gov, usss.dhs.gov, tsa.dhs.gov and cbp.dhs.gov, Fletc.gov, uscis.gov, fleta.gov, usfaparents.gov, tsa.gov…

Look closely at the attacking marauders…….. Okay do you recognize anyone? TSA or DHS and even the post office and children abuse domains. The government is sick and these attacks are just part of a very sick country. Yesterday was the TSA domain attacking Windows to Russia constantly…

Maybe America will consider me an extremist and send a drone over Russia to kill me! Sounds kinda stupid doesn’t it? Or does it? Hmm…

Windows to Russia!

Time to Look the Other Way, For Life has Changed and Russia has Proven Herself…

Hello,

This morning with that wonderful cup of Russian coffee, comes thinking’s and realizations. These are not the final thoughts on Windows to Russia but they are the change of many thoughts that I have. Windows to Russia has reached its limits and really has no place in my mind and heart any more…

The picture that you see to the right is a painting that was given to Sveta and I very recently. It is from a doctor that has tried to help me in diagnosing what could be wrong with me. This is one of the few male doctors that we know and for some reason he painted a picture and gave it to us. I was taken back by it and actually had a tear in my eye, it was so perfect of a gift that I was stunned. After doing some thinking’s I realized what it is about Russia that is so special…

So I will get to why Russia is special in a minute…

When I started Windows to Russia it was to change one persons (American’s) attitude about Russia at a time. I felt that if I succeeded at that, then I was doing something good and something right. I no longer feel that way, so let me tell you what is happening…

It is simple: I after almost 6 years realize that I no longer am just American. I no longer want you to come to Russia. I no longer care to try to change your mind. In fact the worse thing that I can think of is for an American to come to Russia! Russia does not deserve it and neither do you deserve to see what is a wonderful and vibrant country that is alive with freedom’s that you only read about now in old history books. America has started the down hill run and has got a whole lot of self centered pig headed people trying to steer the wheel…

When I speak about you not coming to Russia, that means Americans in my eyes. I want the rest of the world and their better attitude to come to Russia. America is not the biggest readers of Windows to Russia any more and that is how I want to keep it. I am blocking huge sections of American IP’s because of so much hate and governmental attacks against the site. It is sad and really a very sick issue. America is closing the gates on you people living inside and really, most of you could careless…

So why is Russia special?

That is a good question and you really have to live here to understand. Most who live here from America, love Russia and to live in Russia and be happy you must love her. The number of us as Americans is not very large, but I see quality in the happy ones. The ones who do not love Russia, do not make it very long and run home crying or they spend their time writing bad things about Russia and telling lies about Russia. Those are the ones that really need to leave Russia and don’t let the door hit you in the ass as you leave. Western journalist and NGO’s fall into this category…

I hear constantly: Russia does not smile and Russia looks sad and Russia is depressed and Russia is repressed and Russia is this and Russia is that and so on and so on and so on…

Bull Crap!

Russia has a real, not a pretend existence on this earth. The people really mean it when they smile at you! The people really mean it when they communicate with you! The people are real not fake. Russians do not run around and say cheese as you take a picture. Russians do not tell themselves everyday to smile and put on a happy face…

When Russian does something it is because he or she wants to do it and it is from their hearts. They expect nothing in return and that makes Russia very very special…

Russia is real and not fake and that is truly important in life…

The painting that we received finalized my thoughts last night and the decision has been made that I will put Windows to Russia as she is to rest! Windows to Russia will continue to post many articles and as you see we have articles from many writers now. I will continue to write an occasional article and most likely will post recipes as I find them…

I have many projects and Windows to Russia is consuming too much time and energy for very little return. It pays for itself and that is it. People do not want to support a website that talks good about Russia! If this site was a hate Russia blog then I would have huge support for continuing this site. That is a sick and degrading thing to think of. For I love Russia as see is, very very much. Why would I hate Russia! Money is not that important, that I have to pretend hate to make it…

I have lots of irons in the fire as I just mentioned and one of those irons is to obtain a second citizenship. I see the writing on the wall and one day soon America is going to start squeezing the borders closed. The brain drain and talent drain is reaching a epidemic proportion, as people leave America for countries that allow you to be you and not what the government says you should be. No – this is covered up and you will only see this happening, if you leave America. Russia has the problem also but it is not the same and Russia acknowledges it, whereas America pretends that it does not happen… (Just ask anyone in America!)

I can’t accept America as I see her now in the world. I can’t accept a America that uses swat teams as a regular part of law enforcement. I can’t accept such a scared America at her own shadow. I can’t accept a America that controls the media to the extent it does. I can’t accept a America that is showing such a high level of corruption in government, elections and all over the world. I can’t accept a hypocritical America that says one thing, preaches one thing, demands one thing and then tuns around and does the opposite…

I can’t accept a America that my vote does not matter or count, because the outcome is already planned. Maybe America has always been this way but once you leave the American borders and look around, you will one day see the truth…

I could go on and on and on! But the simple fact is that I don’t want you (America) here in Russia! I like Russia as it is and the total impact of that hit me as I look at the painting in the picture. It stimulated all of this verbal barrage that I just wrote. I am now looking away from 90% of the main stream news and that includes Eastern main stream news also. If I write here again then it will be what I am doing or think about the stupid and sick world we live in. The writers that have graced the pages will have their articles posted as soon as I receive them and I think that their writings make Windows to Russia what it is today…

The painting is Russia and her soul and that is what I believe! That is what counts and that is what I say! I really do not care what you think or say it is. I see what has been, what is and what can be in this painting and in my world it is without a hateful, deceitful, contriving and conniving America! Until “we the people” stand up and grow up and take our country back from the scum government that runs it. Then you are just as bad as the government for allowing it…

You know how I think and you see what the government does to shut me down. That should make you think! But then I really don’t think you are capable of thinking and until you decide to comprehend what is happening to your existence…

Don’t come to Russia, because Russia is a wonderful place. That is why I love Russia…

Windows to Russia!

We as Fools need Police to Protect Ourselves from Ourselves…

Yes we have some cops in Russia, but they would never be there when and if they are needed. That is not a bad thing after you experience it for years like I have. After being in Russia for almost 6 years now. I have had my share of altercations. You can’t live anywhere that long, without at least some interesting times of trouble. So I am no stranger to what happens if a cop is called in Russia…

Nothing happens – That is what happens…

Russia is basically a safe, well run, lawless society, so to speak! Oh – I know that there is laws on the books that say “don’t do this and don’t do that”, but no one is going to be there to enforce said laws…

Perfect example: Two guys get into a fight! Punches are thrown and bloody noses/black eyes all around. Someone actually thinks to call the police, while they are kicking each other butt. No cop will ever show. Most likely no one will have answered the call to the police station. I know because after 6 years in Russia I have made a few police calls and know the results. So the two guys have bloody noises and black eyes and are collapsed on the ground after they beat each other. Then they make up and go back to drinking. That is what is expected and what will happen. The time the cop gets involved is if one of them kills the other. Then you will have a cop show up…

So with such a lax police situation in Russia you would think that Russia is the perfect “Wild West” syndrome? Not so! In fact it is the opposite of such a stipulation. Russia is very safe and secure virtually all times. Yes – we have our moments, but safety rules in Russia, in comparison to the Western world. Moscow is one of the biggest cities in the world and running around Moscow is as safe as most small towns in America. Once again, I know because I live in Moscow…

The police have their function and as I have written before you have several types of police, but the one thing that police are really here in Russia for, is to calm the people after the fact of the crime or happening. We in Russia do not expect the police to protect us and as such we protect ourselves. Sveta says that cops are, “Psychologists!”

So while I am drinking that morning cup of coffee, I am thinking about why we have to have so many law enforcement agencies in America? What is the main difference in mentality, between Russia and America? Why did I have to worry about the gunshots in Cincinnati from “Over The Rhine”, striking my house. Why do we look over our shoulder in the country all the time as moonshine is made or pot is grown? Why did I live that way in America and here in Russia with virtually no cops available at anytime, do I never have any issues? Why is it that everywhere I went in an American city you are faced with a cop in a car watching you? Why does the lack of police seem to be better? Why does the presence of so many police in America seem terrible?

Maybe we (humans) are not as bad as what people seem to think and the fact is that most people who relies upon others to protect them seem to instigate more issues than would be necessary to have a good life. Just because you have a law to protect you does not mean that you are correct. Just because you can flap your jaws and irritate someone that can beat your ass in the ground, does not make you correct. If a cop was not easily available and retaliation was not forthcoming by a phone call. Then just maybe you would think twice about telling your neighbor that he is a butt hole or cutting your neighbors crab apple tree down, because it falls two inches onto your newly surveyed property line…

Example: I remember my in-laws from a previous marriage. They got into a huge fight with the neighbors over some stupid property line issue. The cops where called a hundred times as one side or the other irritated the other side. One would start a fight and the spouses of the other would call the police. The police would run to the houses as if it was an emergency. Then sometime after it all calmed down it would start all over again. My father in law was wrong and if the other guy could have beat his ass one time, I promise that it would have been over real quick. Instead each one spent 10,000 plus dollars building bigger fences and putting up spot lights to irritate the other. I liked my father in law, but in this case he was wrong and because he played the games with the laws and police he was able to “act the fool” and be protected. By the way my father in law was the one who started it and it was over the fact he tried to build a fence and take the neighbors property away, by over a foot difference…

It just dawned on me what the big difference is! You see that is why I write these articles. I am trying to figure out why things are different in Russia than America. Well the statement “act the fool” answers my question…

In Russia if you “act the fool” you will be shunned or possibly have the crap beat out of you! No police will come to allow you to continue to “act the fool” and no one will care that you are a poor fool and or laying on the ground with a bloody nose and black eye. They know that you did it too yourself by either acting the fool or being a fool…

It seems that in America we cater to the fools and some of the biggest caterers are the police and government. We have made it their job to protect the fools. In America there are a lot of fools…

Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom: by Charles Spurgeon…

PS: Just like in Russia fools do not get to win lawsuits over what they did to themselves. Fools are just as responsible for their actions as the people who try to not be fools.

Russia and the League of Arab States (LAS) agree upon five principles of peace for Syria…

Russia and the League of Arab States (LAS) have agreed in Cairo upon five principles of the peaceful settlement in Syria. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who participated in Cairo in a ministerial session of this pan-Arab organization, announced a joint statement on the subject…

1. Cessation of violence from all sides.

2. An impartial monitoring mechanism.

3. No external interference.

4. Unhindered access of humanitarian aid to all Syrians.

5. Strong support of Kofi Annan’s mission for the beginning of a political dialogue between the government and all opposition groups in accordance with the mandate in the sphere of competence approved by the UN Secretary-General and the Arab League.

Hmm, I don’t see that the West is going to agree to this settlement. Number 3 is the kicker! No external interference! I bet John McCain and neoconservative’s are frothing at the bit right now

It is time the West stays out of this mess they caused and let Russia handle it! Then the West needs to abide by it and not try to undermine it…

Won’t happen you say! You might be correct, but we can have hope that it will!

Today in Moscow is a Blizzard: Where – O – Where is Spring?

Sipping that cup of coffee and looking out the window on this bitter cold (-8) and snowy Sunday. In fact maybe I should say bitter cold and a blizzard outside to be truthful. Middle of March almost and it is still a Winter wonderland. Visibility is about 25 meters at the best and Boza turned white during our walk. I know I was covered in snow also and had to take off the coat at the back porch and shake it. Boza decided to wait until we got in the door and then shook his coat out. 🙂

You can tell it is Spring because the days have gotten very long but someone has forgotten to tell Old Man Winter that he is not wanted around right now. Miss Spring is still sleeping and refuses to wake up…

So I decided to drink two cups of chicory (coffee) and work on my android phone today. It seems that there is an update and I have to figure out how to get it downloaded and installed. I have a Huawei U8860 Honor and it was just a month ago that it was updated to Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0. It was the second phone brand in the world to get the ICS 4.0. I have had two updates since and it just gets better every time. So I am looking forward to this new update…

Messing with the Android Phone is the perfect thing to do on a cold and snowy day in Russia…

Have a great weekend everyone…

Nuke weapons industry & financial backers: Global profit, death and sin: by John Stanton…

“Most financial institutions don’t consider the social and environmental consequences of their investments. Unless members speak up and take action, they’re unlikely to take ethical considerations into account. Our research shows that teachers’ pension funds in the United States, Canada and Britain invest heavily in companies involved in the nuclear weapons industry. Yet polls show that teachers — the guardians of our future, in many ways — are overwhelmingly opposed to nuclear weapons. Through their daily work, teachers promote understanding, tolerance and cooperation. Nuclear weapons are the very antithesis of these virtues. Teachers should refuse to have their retirement savings invested in this horrible industry.” Daniela Varano International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons.

“TIAA-CREF declines to comment.”

The most open and forthright firm on this matter has been TIAA-CREF. Though they will be in the firing line they have tried to make decent investments.

The International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons released an eye-popping report on 5 March 2012 titled Don’t Bank on the Bomb. In that report are listings of banks, financial institutions and funds that, in some form, fund the research, design, development, production, deployment and maintenance of nuclear weapons.

Nobel Laureate Bishop Desmond Tutu penned the introduction to the report. He indicated that battling against the entrenched interests (government/military and banks/financial firms) that sustain nuclear weapons and fund their modernization will be a long and arduous struggle. But he points to the model of boycott and disinvestment used to pressure the apartheid government of South Africa as both inspiring and successful.

“Banks and other financial institutions should be called upon to do the right thing and assist, rather than impede, efforts to eliminate the threat of radioactive incineration by divesting from the immoral nuclear arms industry. In the long struggle to end racial segregation in South Africa, our freedom was won with the help of concerned individuals around the world who pressured their leaders and corporate actors to stop funding the racist regime. To those who invested in our country, we said: you are doing us no favor; you are buttressing one of the most vicious systems. Divestment was vital in the campaign to end apartheid in South Africa. Today, the same tactic can – and must – be employed to challenge man’s most evil creation: the nuclear bomb. No one should be profiting from this terrible industry of death, which threatens us all.”

Teach Your Children Well

Don’t Bank on the Bomb offers a treasure trove of data on the financial institutions that invest either directly or tangentially in the nuclear weapons industry. Some financial entities referenced are surprising. One of those is TIAA-CREF which the report describes as “TIAA-CREF: Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association,  College  Retirement Equities Fund is a financial services organization that is the leading retirement provider for people who work in the academic, research, medical and cultural fields. It has US$453 billion in combined assets under management, reported revenue of US$32.22 billion in 2010 and employs 7,200 people. It has major offices in Denver, Charlotte and Dallas as well as 70 local offices throughout the United States. It invests in: Alliant Tech Systems, Babcock & Wilcox, BAE Systems, Boeing, General Dynamics, Finmeccanica, GenCorp, Honeywell International, Jacobs Engineering, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman.”

TIAA-CREF manages the funds for thousands of K-12, college and graduate school educators in public and private/parochial-religious educational institutions across the United States. Arguably ironic, and certainly contradictory,  is that religious affiliated schools, whose leadership preaches peace and cultural unity at home and abroad, find that their retirement funds depend, in part, on the financial performance of the nuclear weapons industry and military strategists in Washington, DC, Moscow, Beijing, Tel Aviv, London, Delhi and Islamabad.

Landmines and Nukes

The International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL) recently celebrated its 13th Anniversary in March 2012. Next to Bishop Tutu’s South Africa boycott and disinvestment model stands the ICBL’s tireless effort to ban the use of landmines around the world. The grassroots organization was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for its work which culminated in the signing of the Mine Ban Treaty in “Ottawa, Canada, on 3 December 1997. It entered into force less than two years later, more quickly than any treaty of its kind in history.”

Unfortunately, the flaw in ICBL’s model is that the United States of America and 36 other countries refuse to become parties to the treaty. The USA has splendid company that includes Russia, China, Israel, India and Pakistan. Coincidently, these are the same countries that hold the world’s largest arsenals of nuclear weapons (the UK has signed the Ban Mine Treaty). If these countries are not willing to forsake the use of landmines, then the prospects for eliminating nuclear weapons seems dismal.

At the moment, President Obama has requested $11.5 billion for the FY2013 budget for the National Nuclear Security Administration. Only $2.5 billion of that amount is directed to nonproliferation with the remainder to be funneled to national security purposes.

Religion’s Role

For FY2012, according to the Arms Control Association, the situation was this: “The United States military maintains a modern arsenal of 1,790 deployed strategic nuclear warheads, according to the September 2011 accounting under the New START treaty. These warheads are deployed on Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs), Submarine-Launched Ballistic Missiles (SLBMs), and Strategic Bombers. The Departments of Defense and Energy currently spend approximately $31 billion per year to maintain and upgrade these systems. For Fiscal Year (FY) 2012, the Obama administration is requesting $7.6 billion in funding for weapons activities in the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), which oversees the U.S. nuclear stockpile and production complex, a 10 percent increase over the FY 2011 appropriation of $6.9 billion.

In the next four years NNSA plans to spend $9.6 billion on maintaining, securing, and modernizing the nuclear stockpile, and $34 billion on all of its weapons activities programs.  The U.S. military is in the process of modernizing all of its existing strategic delivery systems and refurbishing the warheads they carry to last for the next 20-30 years or more. These systems are in many cases being completely rebuilt with essentially all new parts.”

And that’s big business.

Perhaps some flavor of religion as a stimulant to mobilize a campaign against nuclear weapons development and their haunting presence is necessary. Bishop Tutu is correct, of course. And so is the Ayatollah Khamenei, “…the Islamic Republic, logically, religiously and theoretically, considers the possession of nuclear weapons a grave sin and believes the proliferation of such weapons is senseless, destructive and dangerous.”

Why Putin Is Driving Washington Nuts: by Pepe Escobar…

Forget the past (Saddam, Osama, Gaddafi) and the present (Assad, Ahmadinejad). A bet can be made over a bottle of Petrus 1989 (the problem is waiting the next six years to collect); for the foreseeable future, Washington’s top bogeyman — and also for its rogue North Atlantic Treaty Organization partners and assorted media shills — will be none other than back-to-the-future Russian President Vladimir Putin.

And make no mistake; Vlad the Putinator will relish it. He’s back exactly where he wants to be: as Russia’s commander-in-chief, in charge of the military, foreign policy and all national security matters.

Anglo-American elites still squirm at the mention of his now legendary Munich 2007 speech, when he blasted the then George W Bush administration for its obsessively unipolar imperial agenda “through a system which has nothing to do with democracy” and non-stop overstepping of its “national borders in almost all spheres.”

So Washington and its minions have been warned. Before last Sunday’s election, Putin even advertised his road map. The essentials; no war on Syria; no war on Iran; no “humanitarian bombing” or fomenting “color revolutions” — all bundled into a new concept, “illegal instruments of soft power.” For Putin, a Washington-engineered New World Order is a no-go. What rules is “the time-honored principle of state sovereignty.”

No wonder. When Putin looks at Libya, he sees the graphic, regressive consequences of NATO’s “liberation” through “humanitarian bombing”; a fragmented country controlled by al-Qaeda-linked militias; backward Cyrenaica splitting from more developed Tripolitania; and a relative of the last king brought in to rule the new “emirate” — to the delight of those model democrats of the House of Saud.

More key essentials: no US bases encircling Russia; no US missile defense without strict admission, in writing, that the system will never target Russia; and increasingly close cooperation among the BRICS group of emerging powers.

Most of this was already implied in Putin’s previous road map — his paper A new integration project for Eurasia: The future in the making. That was Putin’s ippon — he loves judo — against the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the International Monetary Fund and hardcore neo-liberalism. He sees a Eurasian Union as a “modern economic and currency union” stretching all across Central Asia.

For Putin, Syria is an important detail (not least because of Russia’s naval base in the Mediterranean port of Tartus, which NATO would love to abolish). But the meat of the matter is Eurasia integration. Atlanticists will freak out en masse as he puts all his efforts into coordinating “a powerful supranational union that can become one of the poles of today’s world while being an efficient connecting link between Europe and the dynamic Asia-Pacific Region.”

The opposite roadmap will be Obama and Hillary’s Pacific doctrine. Now how exciting is that?

Putin plays Pipelineistan

It was Putin who almost single-handedly spearheaded the resurgence of Russia as a mega energy superpower (oil and gas accounts for two-thirds of Russia’s exports, half of the federal budget and 20% of gross domestic product). So expect Pipelineistan to remain key.

And it will be mostly centered on gas; although Russia holds no less than 30% of global gas supplies, its liquid natural gas (LNG) production is less than 5% of the global market share. It’s not even among the top ten producers.

Putin knows that Russia will need buckets of foreign investment in the Arctic — from the West and especially Asia — to keep its oil production above 10 million barrels a day. And it needs to strike a complex, comprehensive, trillion-dollar deal with China centered on Eastern Siberia gas fields; the oil angle has been already taken care of via the East Siberian Pacific Ocean (ESPO) pipeline. Putin knows that for China — in terms of securing energy — this deal is a vital counterpunch against Washington’s shady “pivoting” towards Asia.

Putin will also do everything to consolidate the South Stream pipeline, which may end up costing a staggering $22 billion (the shareholder agreement is already signed between Russia, Germany, France and Italy. South Stream is Russian gas delivered under the Black Sea to the southern part of the EU, through Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary and Slovakia). If South Stream is a go, rival pipeline Nabucco is checkmated, a major Russian victory against Washington pressure and Brussels bureaucrats.

Everything is still up for grabs at the crucial intersection of hardcore geopolitics and Pipelineistan. Once again Putin will be facing yet another Washington road map — the not exactly successful New Silk Road (See US’s post-2014 Afghan agenda falters, Asia Times Online, Nov 4, 2011.)

Ant then there’s the joker in the pack: the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Putin will want Pakistan to become a full member as much as China is interested in incorporating Iran. The repercussions would be ground-breaking — as in Russia, China, Pakistan, and Iran coordinating not only their economic integration but their mutual security inside a strengthened SCO, whose motto is “non-alignment, non-confrontation, and non-interference in the affairs of other countries.

Putin sees that with Russia, Central Asia, and Iran controlling no less than 50% of world’s gas reserves, and with Iran and Pakistan as virtual SCO members, the name of the game becomes Asia integration — if not Eurasia’s. The SCO develops as an economic/security powerhouse, while, in parallel, Pipelineistan accelerates the full integration of the SCO as a counterpunch to NATO. The regional players themselves will decide what makes more sense: this or a New Silk Road invented in Washington.

Make no mistake. Behind the relentless demonization of Putin and the myriad attempts to delegitimize Russia’s presidential elections, lie some very angry and powerful sections of Washington and Anglo-American elites.

They know Putin will be an ultra tough negotiator on all fronts. They know Moscow will apply increasingly closer coordination with China, on thwarting permanent NATO bases in Afghanistan, on facilitating Pakistan’s strategic autonomy, on opposing missile defense, on ensuring Iran is not attacked.

He will be the devil of choice because there could not be a more formidable opponent in the world stage to Washington’s plans — be they coded as Greater Middle East, New Silk Road, Full Spectrum Dominance, or America’s Pacific Century. Ladies and gentlemen, let’s get ready to rumble.
