In its entire history America never had friends, only associates, whom it used as it saw fit. The US State Department was nothing more than a collection of clerks who did what Wall Street commanded. Instead of making and keeping friends throughout the world, the US State Department was more concerned at having political puppets at the head of sovereign countries, as these countries were to be used for plundering by US corporations and banks.
