Last Thoughts; This post makes five hundred articles for the year 2014. Windows to Russia has 4554 articles as of the writing of this post the 4555th article. I still remember my first one hundred and I was so proud of that accomplishment. Windows to Russia started officially in 2005, it never became a real entity until sometime in 2007, but articles became posted and articles survived from the early era. Hundreds of articles were lost over the years in major battles against our wonderful government of transparency. I guess I hit some sore spots in the early eras and the Department of Homeland Security tried to shut me down. Sore spots that I still hit, but I learned how to fight them, but not before they destroyed hundreds of articles and images in their wish to kill Windows to Russia to the last dredges…

It was a multi-year battle and I almost could not win. It was expensive and tiring to say the least. The huge U.S. government using taxpayers resources, to try to squelch a tiny blog such as Windows to Russia. It started when they forced Blogger to shut me down, for I was too political and crass. Then it went from stupid to all out attacks for days on end. They (US) used computers from all over the USA in military bases and other governmental buildings, such as the guard shacks at TSA locations. I burned through hosting companies like a string of firecrackers just lit…

We are no longer tiny, but neither big either, but we have a huge crowd of silent readers. Windows to Russia will top 10,000,000 views this year and over a third of that is China. I have found a new growing readership in China. At the pace that they are growing, it looks like 50% will be Chinese next year, even as the numbers grow in general…

An article on how to cook carp on a grill and after a hundred plus thousand people have visited this article (since my summer of 2014 in the village,) I hope that some enjoyed carp like Sveta and I do in the village…

I have very few commenters, for they learned early on that commenting brought the governmental trolls and that just is not right. We do not need a world being controlled by trolls on the internet. Therefore, I dissipated the trolls after many years of trying to figure out how. Trolls are 99% paid government people to disrupt a website and its functions of getting information out to the public… (To stop them just make a list of thousands of IP’s and block them, it works…)

Who am I? I do not give out who I really am to any detail, I am ageless in a last era of youth on the net and I will not give anyone my true age. I have been in several wars and I have done things for Uncle Sam that ashamed me as I have grown older and see the world for what it truly is. I say to people,”Been there and done that! Never wanna go back to it!”, as dreams haunt me at night. But Sveta just got us a “Dream Catcher” and it works. I have slept soundly since I put it above the head of the bed… (Thanks sweetie!)

Last Thought; I am going to end this last of the year article with this:

 I was never at home in America. I always asked too many questions for people and teachers would even not call on me as I raised my hand to ask something or tell an answer to a question they asked. I never conformed to the norm and even at a young age, I realized that society, reaped what it sowed. I discovered at a young age that I could sense things, and I could see things most could not. This ability carried me through times of death all around me and I have seen much death in my life. Death is not fun when you are not able to understand why we kill. Most men do not live full lives after a war and our country shows all the signs of a war-torn and war-weary society, driven on by warmonger’s who have never walked the battle field…

We have made it to 2015 and I have the most wonderful woman in the world next to me. We are planning on going to the largest skating rink in the world, at Red Square and I will take pictures of Sveta skating. She loves to skate and we need to walk this most wonderful city, called Moscow, in Russia. the place this American lives…

Last article of 2014, last thought on paper, and last chance to make a difference, for the old year. Lets hope that 2015 is not our last year on earth and that we have many more, for the earth is a wonderful place to live and travel…

We have become despised for even being alive and this is in total stark contrast to how we were once a nation that stood for world peace and prosperity…

It would be the same effect once again, if the United States law enforcement all over America, would withdraw its menacing presence from the United States society and allow people to live in peace and harmony within America. If the law enforcement was part of the community, morally, mentally, and physically and not a strong-arm effigy of death to control a society with…

I may not want to live my life in North Korea, but then there is a lot of places I would not spend the rest of my life at in the world and that includes the United States of America. That said, unlike not desiring to ever go back to America. I do wish to travel to North Korea and see what is up. I stand up for the little country and feel bad that my country lies and propaganda’s them to death. The U.S. is utterly the worst at pointing false fingers at others all the while they are doing just what they squeal about, like a little child telling on his friends. No one needs friends like that in the world, because being taught not to tattle and or lie is correct…

Well the latest escapade induced by a façade faked West, has been to accuse falsely and actually attack North Korea internet wise. The west without any facts, accuses North Korea that they hacked the Sony stuff or whatever. Then the U/S crashed the North Korea’s web and squealed for days about how bad and terrible the baby eating country of North Korea is… “~Sarc~”

What North Korea did in return, they asked for a UN-backed investigation, for NK says they had nothing to do with all that happened and we have found out that servers used to do this function are located in Japan and in China, and nothing points at North Korea, except a falsely accusing Western Empire…

Now guess who screamed, “No way will we investigate the accusation!” and a, “Forget you fools!” became implied and that was that. Pretty simple, the “Land of the Free” (~Sarc again~) does not want incriminating evidence against their escapades come forefront…

You got it, the good ole USA. They seem to want no investigation and want to accuse with no proof… (Kinda like jets falling out of the sky and such trivial things like that!)

 North Korea says, “Obama always goes reckless in speech and action like a monkey in a tropical jungle.”

That quote above is from news in North Korea, seems that they have reached a limit to the crap they will take and are going to call a “spade a spade…”

I find NK very refreshing and not at all like we are lead to believe. North Korea deserves support by the UN and we deserve to know the truth about this and many more things that seem to happen all over the world, for propaganda reasons, everyday…

This is all done by the west to promote a movie, to belittle and marginalize North Korea…

I asked Santa for this…

I did ask Santa for the laptop at that link above, but it looked like it would not happen. we decided to look at other cheaper computers, such as HP, Acer, and such. The DNS laptop was just too high and we could get basically the same power for 5,000 ruble less, but not Russian made, though Chinese made…

Then after shopping the internet for several hours and trying to find the best deal, Sveta and I went to Burger King to enjoy some delicious onion rings. I directed Sveta and I (after dinner) to our DNS store down the street from Burger King and we decided to look one last time at the DNS Office computer that I had studied and knew would be a good deal…

The computer was 25,000 rubles and it was an excellent piece of computer ware. It was well-built and had great specs. We entered the store and started to look at the laptop computers and we noticed these employees switching prices on certain models of laptops and then I noticed that all over the store prices were silently being dropped. No fanfare or excitement, just simply swapping a price tag out and going to the next item to change. Right in front of our eyes prices were dropping 5,000 rubles, as we stood there and the computer we (I – :)) wanted went down 5,000 rubles as we stood there. Actually I watched a 22,000 ruble HP 15.6 inch screen drop to 17,000 rubles in front of my eyes and realized that Christmas was in the air…

We had Christmas snow all day and wishes being answered left and right this Christmas day…

We found our computer that was at the top of the list for us and sure enough, the price was officially 5,000 rubles less than what we looked at a week ago and these prices were dropping everywhere, all over the store…

 Sveta looked at me and said let’s get it and therefore, we did. The proof is in the pudding that Santa does make things happen and Sveta and I both wanted a new laptop to replace our worn out laptop, that has become obsolete and almost worthless, for modern technology…

But this is not the best gift we (I) received…

For under our tiny, pathetic, and wonderful little Christmas Tree, I found that Santa had been by during the night. He brought two of my most favorite items in the world…

These items are almost impossible to find in Russia and they are more than a little important to me, they are a necessary item in life and I have lived many years here in Russia without protection of one of these…

I found under the tree; Dream Catchers American Indian style…

Dream Catchers catch-all bad dreams and only good dreams allowed. Once the sun pops up over the horizon, all bad dreams flow from the dream catcher evaporated in the safe secure sun…

With my past, this is a mandatory part of life and they were never available in Russia, at least for me…

Christmas and Santa brought me two Dream Catchers, and they are beautiful…

I told you that there was a Santa Clause and if you are a good boy or girl, he will drop a few special gifts your way. Now we have Russian Christmas/New Year on the 1st of January, I hope Ded Moroz is just as nice as Santa… 🙂

Then after that we have real Christmas according to the Orthodox in Russia. That is on the 7th of January…

Today I will put the big Dream Catcher above the bed where it belongs and soon the small catcher in the photo, will hang off the mirror in the car. These are two critically important locations for a Dream Catcher to do their jobs, properly…

I feel kinda bad this morning though, Christmas is my holiday and Sveta celebrates it with me, just because it is important to me. Though she does not want anything and or cares for anything on this day. It means nothing to her and since she is very practical and analytical, a holiday based on western ideologies, just does not excite. Therefore, her gift time is during the Russian New year when Ded Moroz stops by and gives gifts to all good boys and girls. This is Soviet Tradition and now Russian tradition as well…

Hence, I have secretly told Ded Moroz what Sveta wants for New Years and he said that he would be on the lookout for her gift…

You can tell me lots of things and tell me that many things are not true, but you will never be able to tell me that Santa, Christmas, New Year, and Ded Moroz are not real. For they all tie in together with baby Jesus and God and it just makes a long Winter better…

I keep telling the world that Putin, president of Russia is unlike any politician that I have known. I see other good politicians, but they are few and far between and Putin resides over a huge major world power…

The quotes above are perfect examples of a president that tells it like it is. He does not try to hide things and he does not try to whitewash things. The Russian people appreciate a president that tells them the truth and I as an American, find it very refreshing to be told the condition, of the country and government and not be lied to about what is happening. I dislike rose-colored glasses and it seems that Americans all want those glasses to stay on their face…

Which do you want? A president that is a leader and tells the government that they are going to work and make things better and keep an eye on things, or a president that spends much of his time vacationing and or playing golf?

Which do you want? A president that tells you things are bad and that it is going to be rough, or a president that tells you life is a bowl of cherries and they even took the pits out for you?

Which do you want? A president that drives implementation of changes to better the country, help the people be self-sufficient, and allow democracy and entrepreneur capitalism to flourish or a president that drives political, corporation, and cronies agendas, over the people…

Which do you want? A president that tells the truth or a president that lies?

I was taught to be a leader by example and Putin does just that in Russia. I realize to the dismay of some of his underlings, they wish he was not so driven to support the country and be a leader. But I can honestly say that in my work career, the managers that could not put the ball in front of them, lost their job quickly…

China is launching trading in forwards and swaps between the yuan and three more currencies, including the Russian ruble, from December 29, the China Foreign Exchange Trade System managed by the People’s Bank of China announced on Friday.

China is also launching trading in contracts with the Malaysian ringgit and the New Zealand dollar from 29^th December. China is promoting usage of the yuan in global commercial and financial transactions, with the goal of rivaling the dollar as a reserve currency.

That’s great news. Thankfully China has grown strong enough to tell the US and cronies to go jump off a cliff headfirst. If they (China and Russia – as well as Iran) want to use a better alternative for trade other than the USD, for oil and other natural resources, why not? Therefore, nothing or no one has a right to try to stop the usage of alternate currencies. We live in a free world…

Like Iraq, Libya, and every other nation that proposed selling their oil in gold dinars, or Euros or other forms of payment, the US terror teams that decide to invade and start wars in every country that oppose use of the USD (just like those that got Gaddafi and Saddam deposed and murdered), the US can’t do that with China or Russia, because they know they do not have a snowball’s chance in hell of succeeding, and China and Russia will stand up for each other before they would ever side with the USA…

Merry Christmas from Sveta and Kyle at Windows to Russia…

Koliadki are Russian Christmas cookies that are made to treat all the people who come to sing carols at your home. These cookies can have the many different types of fillings…

Kolyadka (Ukrainian: колядка, Russian: колядка) is a traditional caroling song usually sung in Eastern Slavic countries (Belarus, Russia and Ukraine) only on Orthodox Christmas holidays, between the 7 and 14 of January. It is strongly believed that everything sung about in the song will come true…

Ingredients:

Dough: 14 oz flour, 2/3 cup water
Filling: 1/2 lb tvorog (cottage cheese), 7 ea eggs, sugar to taste (Or honey!)

Method:

Combine flour with water and knead the dough.
Roll out the dough finely and cut out squares.
Fold the edges and pinch them to have small boxes.
Fill the boxes with tvorog (cottage cheese but drain very well) combined with eggs and sugar.
Bake in a preheated oven on average heat until light brown.
Please experiment with this cookie. Fill it with fruit, candies and anything else you can think of. I like them with a meat filling and they are so simple to make…

I have been here nine years and when I first came to Russia, I thought that we were the same. I thought Americans and Russians, basically the same people. We look the same, we act the same on the surface, we smile the same, we walk the same, we talk the same, we laugh the same, we are the same in many things. Superficially we are the same, deep inside we are not the same…

There is something that we in America lack, we do not realize it, but if you think about it and look all the people you meet, see, and talk to everyday, you will see it. You will see it in your family and you will really see it during a holiday like Christmas…

I am talking about a very basic, but the most important part of any human; the soul…

What, a soul? What are you babbling about now?

Take it how you want, but I have studied and read up on this and then I have done much thought and debating on souls. Humans have souls or some of us do, but we do not need a soul to live and function. The soul is a part of us that is actually not of our origin. You earn a soul and the soul is eternal. This is why not many of us actually have one and I am not sure many of us are capable of utilizing a soul to the benefit it gives us humans…

I look at the soul simply this way; the soul is like the catalyst within us that allows us to really understand what is right and wrong…

By that definition, you will realize that not many people have souls, you can gain a soul and or awaken a soul at anytime. A soul is something you earn or you lose due to your actions, desires, morals, and humility…

While on the surface, Russians and Americans look the same, underneath it all, many Russians have an old soul, That is what sets a Russian apart from an American, an old soul as described in folklore in Russia is akin to these next statements; Russians like to suffer; Russians are tough; Russians have humanity; Russians are compassionate towards suffering; Russians are generally passive, accept their fate, and humbly accept the suffering doled out to them. Russians also accept that things will always get better, even if they get worse in the meantime…

I know very few Americans in the modern era, that are old soul, but I know a whole bunch of Russians that meet that criteria in a nutshell. This is not because of physical issues, it is because of mental issues that have changed what we are. For I remember well my grandparents who came from Germany and Sweden, had old soul and were tough…

You can not look at the world as all the same and that is a fallacy that we in America akin to. We try to mold the world in our vision and desires. The world is not one thought, one thinking, one want, the world is billions of thoughts and desires, but there is a limited number of real souls to go around. Then that is a serious issue, for I truly believe that it takes a soul to see what we are able to become and what we need to do to make a better world. It seems to me that people with souls are just walking a different path than the rest of us…

I found a bunch of Souls in Russia and they are passive and expect to suffer as they grow old. Therefore, they have endurance and are extreme intellects, as I have never seen before. It has been very refreshing for me to absorb the spiritualism of Russia…

Deep inside Russians and Americans are not the same and I hope I earn a soul one day…

The Russians are arguably decades in front of us in rocket development since the 1970’s. Actually when they duplicated our shuttle program, it was years in front of anything we had considered. They are proficient and are eager to put resources into incremental change on existing innovation. That is a critical distinction from our (U.S.) space program…

This is the reason that we have used Russian rocket engines for almost everything we send in space and or use Russia herself to send it to space. This was the demise of our space shuttle program, we rode on our laurels and lost our prize…

Consider this, despite the fact that we (U.S.) have plans for a few Russian rocket motors and we have lots of working engines to reverse engineer, we are not fit for building them on the grounds that we don’t know how to do the progressed metallurgy, included in those outlines and blueprints. Russian motors do things that American specialists had thought unimaginable until they saw the motor working and performing . We are still trying to match the capabilities of these rockets and we still have not mastered the metal compounds that make these rockets so unique and durable… (Space X is not in the same league! Yet!)

If you think that only their rockets are superior, then you are ignoring the fact that Russia has this same technology through out its country and we should think about that as they develop weapons…

Russia’s space agency has launched a heavy version of the newly developed ecologically clean rocket family Angara. The booster is to take its mock payload right to the geostationary orbit – over 35,000 kilometers from the Equator.

“At 08:57 Moscow time, the heavy-class rocket Angara-A5 was launched by a Space Forces crew of the Arkhangelsk Region from the universal launch site of the state test facility of the Russian Defense Ministry [the Plesetsk Cosmodrome],” the ministry said in a statement.

The success was reported by Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu to President Vladimir Putin, who was monitoring the launch form Moscow via a video link.

The major peculiarity of this test launch has become its main goal: the rocket is to deliver its mock two-ton payload directly to geostationary orbit – the orbit right above the Equator that has a period of one sidereal day, or 23 hours 56 minutes and 4 seconds; objects rotating around the earth in this orbit can fly as far away as 35,700 kilometers from the planet’s surface.

Launching right into geostationary orbit has never been practiced before by any heavy booster prototype – usually trials are performed to a low orbit with altitudes of up to 2,000km before moving on to higher altitudes.

The first stage of the Angara-5 rocket, capable of delivering up to 25 tons to a low orbit, is powered by RD-191, arguably the world’s best “clean” engine that uses kerosene and oxygen as fuel.

Russia said at the beginning of 2014 that they would send a test rocket in December of 2014. They did and it was very successful…
