Around the corner and under a tree…

Around the corner,
And under a tree,
A sergeant major,
Once said to me,
“Who would marry you?
I would like to know,
For every time I look at your face,
It makes me want to go
Around the corner,
And under a tree…

I am thinking…

My grandma taught me this song as a tiny boy. It seems to put life in a perspective that makes sense….her and I would tool on down the road in her 1945 Buick and fly on the hilly roads of life, singing this song at the top of our lungs…

Thus, I sing it all the time…
