Been watching what Russia would do about this Encirclement…

Tidbit: Ruthenian, also called Ruthene, any of those Ukrainians who were formerly Polish or Austrian and Austro-Hungarian subjects…

MOSCOW, August 29. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has called on the Donbass militias to open a humanitarian corridor for Ukrainian servicemen, who found themselves encircled. The call is contained in the Head of State’s address circulated by the Kremlin press service on Friday.

For more than a week, while games have been played by the west and Kiev ignoring her own people as usual. Around 3000 older veterans in Russia drove across the Ukraine border and organized the East Ukraine troops. This happened about a little more than a week ago, most likely two weeks ago and the result was a combination of forces, that devastated Kiev’s paid mercenaries and the children they have sent to die for no reason…

Now after encirclement, Putin is asking that the reorganized militia not wipe everyone out and the Russian presidential address reads as follows: “I am calling on militia forces to open a humanitarian corridor for encircled Ukrainian servicemen in order to avoid senseless casualties, enable them to get out of the area of combat operations unimpeded and reunite with their families; bring them back to their mothers, wives, and children, and urgently to give medical aid to those wounded in the military operation.”

I have stayed quiet about this because it got real serious in Ukraine, as the west ignored all that was happening. The west ignored, because the west has so many men on the ground in Ukraine and have found themselves running to keep from being killed or captured, by the East Ukraine, that to acknowledge what was happening would incriminate the west…

The East Ukraine has captured maybe 100 tanks, 40 to 50 pieces of heavy artillery and tons of other weapons and such. There have been around 400 to 500 Ukraine service men surrender and cross the Russian border…

The Russian Veterans went into Ukraine on there own, no, nobody tried to stop them and that is just right. These guys, mostly Afghanistan Veterans got fed up with the crap and took it on themselves. In a matter of days they had encircled the Ukraine army and it is thought that up to 7000 Kiev troops are trapped…

I will not say anymore about this because I hope to God that all these boys are let to go home safely and I hope that they realize that Russia is trying to save them. The situation has gotten very bad for Ukraine and all we (west) do is spout about a Russian invasion…

I guess Russia did invade, a bunch of old geezers from way past wars went in and kicked their (West Ukraine) asses…

Grow up people and wake up people. These are just kids being killed, just as we (US) send kids to be killed in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places. Time to realize that politicians do not have our best interest in mind and really politicians only care about the fact that they can play rule and conquer…

Starting to look like East Ukraine is becoming her own country…

  1. MOSCOW, August 29. /ITAR-TASS /. Leaders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic are ready to provide humanitarian corridors for encircled Kiev-loyal troops on condition of their disarmament.

The republic’s Prime Minister Alexander Zakharchenko told Russia 24 Television on Friday that the republic’s leaders supported Russian President Vladimir Putin’s initiative.

“With all due respect for Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the president of the country that is the first to support us morally, we are ready to provide humanitarian corridors for encircled Ukrainian troops on condition that they surrender heavy weapons and ammunition so that the weaponry and ammunition would not be used against us,” he said.

    Putin’s address

The Kremlin press service said earlier on Friday that Putin in his address to militia of Novorossia (the Donetsk and Luhansk republics) urged to let troops out of the encirclement to prevent unneeded casualties. The president said many servicemen participated in the Kiev-organized military operation in the southeast not on their own free will but obeying the order. He called on Kiev authorities to immediately stop fighting and sit at the negotiating table with Donbass representatives. The president pledged that Russia would continue providing humanitarian aid for southeastern Ukrainian regions.

The presidential address reads as follows: “I am calling on militia forces to open a humanitarian corridor for encircled Ukrainian servicemen in order to avoid senseless casualties, enable them to get out of the area of combat operations unimpededly and reunite with their families; bring them back to their mothers, wives, and children, and urgently to give medical aid to those wounded in the military operation”.

Russia will continue to render humanitarian aid to the population of Donbass, says an address, issued by Russian President Vladimir Putin, to the militias of Ukraine’s south-east. President stated, “The Russian side is ready and will continue to provide humanitarian aid for the population of Donbass who suffer from a humanitarian disaster”.

    Humanitarian aid

Russia to send second humanitarian convoy to Ukraine soon – presidential spokesman
The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry sent a convoy of 262 trucks with relief supplies for residents of the war-torn southeast of Ukraine on August 12. The cargo contains some 2,000 metric tons of humanitarian aid, including food (grain, sugar, baby food), medications, sleeping bags and portable power generators.

Troops loyal to Kiev and local militias in the southeastern Ukrainian Donetsk and Luhansk regions are involved in fierce clashes as the Ukrainian armed forces are conducting a military operation to regain control over the breakaway territories, which on May 11 proclaimed their independence at local referendums and now call themselves the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s republics.

During the military operation, conducted since mid-April, Kiev has used armored vehicles, heavy artillery and attack aviation. Hundreds of civilians have been killed in it. Many buildings have been destroyed and hundreds of thousands of people have had to flee Ukraine’s embattled southeast.

  2. Below is the text of Putin’s address to the militia of Novorossiya:

“It is clear the militia has achieved a major success in intercepting Kiev’s military operation, which represents a grave danger to the population of Donbass and which has already led to the loss of many lives among peaceful residents.

As a result of the militia’s actions, a large number of Ukrainian service members who did not participate in the military operation of their own volition but while following orders have been surrounded.

I call on the militia groups to open a humanitarian corridor for Ukrainian service members who have been surrounded, so as to avoid any needless loss of life, giving them the opportunity to leave the combat area unimpeded and reunite with their families, to return them to their mothers, wives and children, and to quickly provide medical assistance to those who were injured in the course of the military operation.

For its part, the Russian side is ready and willing to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Donbass, who have been affected by this humanitarian catastrophe.

I once again call on the Ukrainian authorities to immediately stop military actions, cease fire, sit down at the negotiating table with Donbass representatives and resolve all the accumulated problems exclusively via peaceful means.
