The build up to the new sanctions and or actually just old sanctions being revitalized and extended was to garner US agencies to prepare data of persons and or organizations deemed worthy of declaring evil for the sanctions blacklist…
This revitalized blacklist now finally includes the FSB, SVR, GRU and 35 or more defense related companies like the Mytishchi Carriage Works (which among other things makes trains for the Moscow metro), of course they got around to “Kalashnikov”, United Aircraft, Shipbuilding and Engine Corporation and a nasty group (in US eyes) of other evil entities from Russia…
