Brazil was beat to death, Russia has been sanctioned to the ends of the earth and China, South Africa and India are feeling the pressure of hate and molestation from the west, even as you read this….BUT…

The future has still gone east…

The news that China’s GDP growth in 2017 was 6.9 per cent as opposed to the government target of 6.5 per cent and the January 2017 international Monetary Fund (IMF) projection of 6.5 per cent is merely the latest in a sequence of economic data releases that has pushed economists to play catch-up with economic reality.China is also not the only BRICS member county to see economic data exceed expectations.Brazil has surprised by how robust its economy has performed despite the ongoing corruption allegations and the stalled political reform agenda.Russia has exceeded expectations both in terms of growth and low inflation, while India has started to recover from the high-denomination rupee withdrawal of November 2016. BEIJING, June 5 (Xinhua) — The upcoming 18th summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in the eastern Chinese city of Qingdao has come under the global spotlight as it carries special significance.Scheduled for June 9-10, the summit will witness the gathering of leaders of SCO member states and observer states, as well as heads of international organizations in Qingdao, Shandong Province.FIRST SUMMIT AFTER EXPANSIONIt will be the first SCO summit after India and Pakistan were accepted as full members in June 2017 at the Astana summit in Kazakhstan.After the expansion, the eight full members of the SCO are China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The SCO also has four observer states and six dialogue partners.

The United States threatened to hit Ecuador with retaliatory trade measures and pull military aid because the South American country is proposing an international resolution that encourages breastfeeding. The US eventually agreed to the resolution — when Russia backed it. American officials surprised international delegates at the United Nations-affiliated World Health Assembly in May when they opposed a widely popular resolution to promote breastfeeding, according to a Sunday report……

What the hell is wrong with America?

Ouch, fate reversed… Croatia 2-2 (4-3 overtime) Russia


I had a anxious sweet pea watching the Russians play Croatia…

As with Spain and Russia playing, it was a good game and could have gone either way at the end. As a team Russia played excellent and so did Croatia….but when it came to individual performances at the very end. Russia faltered…

I always say, “Someone has to lose and you will be the one if you blink!”

Croatia simply had the will and guts to the end…

Someone has to lose and that is just right…but I have to say, I am proud of Russia for going farther than everyone, including the Russians, expected…

Now I have a grouchy sweet pea…

Moscow has been ranked fifth in the world for the quality of education after Singapore, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Helsinki and Tokyo, according to Bain & Company, a global management consulting firm that has analysed changes in Moscow’s education system between 2010 and 2017 and compared it to 20 other megacities. Its conclusions have been presented in a report titled Education in Moscow: Improving Effectiveness amid Global Changes.

TASS: Science & Space – Russia to promote its space food worldwide


MOSCOW, July 6. /TASS/. Glavkosmos, a subsidiary of Russia’s Roscosmos State Space Corporation, will start promoting Russian-made food for cosmonauts on the global market, the Roscosmos press service has said.The cooperation agreement on the issue has been signed by Glavkosmos head Denis Lyskov and Space Food Lab head Konstantin Grigoryev.”In line with the agreement, Glavkosmos will promote and sell internationally the space food, produced by the lab. In addition, the sides agreed to render information support and jointly take part in international events,” Roscosmos said in a statement on Thursday.”This cooperation opens new business areas for us. We see potential demand for space food on the international market, many of our traditional foreign partners have demonstrated interest in purchasing space food,” Lyskov was quoted as saying.
