The U.S manufacturers went looking to Red impoverished China decades ago in search of a few cents more in profits. They found it and nurtured that system to get rich at our expense. They did not care about long term, only the short term gain to their pockets…
I watched this happen, I expressed to many people about it happening and now feel zero as in zilch sympathy for the fools who cry and whine and demand bailouts because of what the west has become – where was everyone when their good quality “jobs for life” were being replaced by 2 or 3 crap jobs in crap service industries that produced nothing? Where was everyone when the man of the family (Be they male or female,) could support a family on one job and we became a two worker family? Where was everyone when a loaf of bread became unaffordable? Where were we all when we watched our corporations sending themselves all over the world, because they do not want to pay our USA wages?
Looked like a bunch of sleeping brain dead people to me…
If we used our brains?
Instead of screaming at the China and the Chinese who are just trying to lift itself/themselves up from centuries of abuse and exploitation (A bit of history from a book bought in a little book store, not that corporate type bookstore, will go a long way to explain what led to this- or you can download free if you bother to search for them) why don’t people in the west scream and shout at the world wide Oligarchs and other crony capitalists who used their new found wealth to lobby corrupt politicians to regulate/deregulate as was convenient?
These people are not very hard to find- just look for a wealthy gated community in your own town…
We should be smart enough to realize that China was being used to generate wealth for the obscenely wealthy all over the world. Including within China itself…

Both sides of the coin all over the world lined and continue to line their pockets. First they did it with new, inflation free bills before it was devalued and given to you and me to fight for and squander on useless crap, food and costume jewellery, that made those rich new bill owners even richer- do you not see a pattern of abuse?
Now they just print and endless supply of paper, because they don’t care if the price goes up anymore…
But, that’s OK:

We can sit here and scream at either side of the political fence blaming the other for all our misfortunes. The reality is (and most people do not live in reality anymore) that you have all been conned, fooled and led up the wrong garden path. Now you all fight for or against each other…

Mexico, India, Turkey, Cuba, Iran, Russia, China, Venezuela, (and the European Union – which is made up of); Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK…
Also for just a tidbit, Canada is getting itself in hot water at times, so they may be added to the list soon…

PS: If you desire all you have to do is search online just a little bit and you will see how all these countries have been pushed, picked on, threatened and had reputations lied about over the last week or two. This is not conclusive at all and there are more countries meeting the same fate over the last few years and most likely this fate will increase proportionately, as things turn sour in the Western Empire, as it thrashes in attempts to stay relevant in our world …
This whole issue is just a side show that all of a sudden has been thrust to the forefront as if it is all that matters…
The real issue is never going to be fixed by any trade war. The real issue that is killing America and destroying her future is D-E-B-T. Debt destroys those that find themselves needing it and it enriches those that don’t need it but can wield it like a weapon to suck up the assets of the world…
There is no amount of trade on the planet that is going to fix that. The debt load is killing us…..it, not China, is sucking the life out if us. What’s the deficit going to be this year, another trillion dollars? The interest this year, 800 billion dollars?
Debt has created a world of haves and have nots in what was formerly the “land of opportunity”. Our society and economy runs on debt. That means we have to run to stay ahead of the debt and the juice. The bigger the debt the faster we have to run. The debt is catching us. A trade war will help it catch us. 
When it does, there is going to be major pain as we de-lever. Whether we implode by default or hyper inflation, the resulting pain will be the same. Those are the only two options at this point. A trade war with China will hasten our default or hyper inflation. I foresee a rate cut in the near future and another form of QE being implemented…
The world economy is rolling down hill faster each week. They will stimulate (OE) at some point with more debt…..which will exacerbate the problem…….requiring more stimulus…….and so forth…
The iceberg was hit long ago. The true issue is a “big damn hole” in the side of the ship…
