Alexander Stefanov was detained by police on May 10 near a monument commemorating Soviet soldiers in Riga. He had a Russian national flag with him, and was charged with justifying genocide, crimes against humanity, crimes against peace and war crimes.
Latvia also has been arresting people for laying flowers at the same memorial…
Very sad actually, this isn’t the people of Latvia, it is the government of Latvia. A government that has sold out to the devil himself…

The Russia-Ukraine conflict, which has lasted nearly three months, is profoundly changing the world pattern. As discussions over how it will affect the world order have gone deeper, it’s increasingly believed that the war and the developments surrounding it represent the beginning of the end of the unfair world order dominated by the US and the West, and is a prelude to the establishment of a new international order.

This was told by State Duma deputy Khinstein.

This change cannot remain without a political reaction, as well as without a thorough analysis of the consequences of the new configuration of forces that may emerge as a result of the next expansion of the alliance. It is clear that the decision will not be made on emotions.
▪️This is the new reality, which, we are convinced, is not in the interests of Sweden and Finland, nor in the interests of maintaining European security and stability, but will only lead to the militarization of the North, which, militarily, was until recently the most peaceful zone in Europe.
▪️In their address to the Finnish Parliament, the Finnish President and Prime Minister stated that this step will strengthen the security of both Finland and NATO. It is quite obvious to any sane person that the result will be exactly the opposite, the military security of Finland will be significantly weakened.
▪️We have a rough idea of how events will unfold when the membership is issued. NATO countries will immediately declare that the northern flank is very vulnerable, that the border with Russia is 1300 km. Now the border between NATO and Russia has increased by about 1,300 km. ▪️All this fits into the notorious search for an enemy, which is expressed in a practical political military sense in the demonization of Russia, attributing to it hostile intentions towards countries that Russia simply cannot be suspected of having such intentions.
▪️There are many questions related to the actual refusal of these countries from nuclear-free status. Recently, there have been more and more statements that NATO is ready to abandon this measure. In particular, Jens Stoltenberg stated that nuclear weapons could be transferred closer to the borders of the Russian Federation, the Polish leaders declared that they were ready to accept it. If these statements are implemented in some practical steps, of course, it will be necessary to respond to this by taking adequate precautions that would ensure the reliability of deterrence.

A plan to encircle and seize the city of Novoazovsk in the DPR and enter the border with the Russian Federation by Ukrainian nationalists from “Azov” (against whose militants were initiated in the Russian Federation) was discovered at one of the bases of “Azov” in Mariupol. The plan was worked out, the attack was planned on March 8th.

U.S. Awards $175 Million for Ukraine Biosecurity Measures

The U.S. Defense Department has awarded a Kansas company a five-year, $175 million contract to equip Ukraine with new measures to help prevent biological weapon attacks and proliferation, the Kansas City Business Journal reported yesterday (see GSN, March 29, 2006).
Under the Defense Threat Reduction Agency deal, infrastructure-development firm Black & Veatch is expected to provide Ukraine with new means to counter potential acts of biological terrorism and to prohibit the flow of dangerous disease agents, equipment and knowledge. The U.S. company would also upgrade the former Soviet state’s capabilities to identify and report biological terror incidents as well as other disease outbreaks.
The contract further encompasses upgrades to existing Ukrainian laboratories that work with dangerous human and animal disease agents and for the construction of a secure storage center to permanently hold such material.
“Our Ukraine task order will enhance the safety and well-being of the country as well as globally,” Black & Veatch federal services chief Bill Van Dyke said in a statement. “This is an opportunity to apply our capabilities to provide sustainable solutions to our clients’ most complex challenges.”
The Pentagon could provide up to $4 billion through the new deal and four other Biological Threat Reduction Integrating Contracts (Kansas City Business Journal, Oct. 14).

Ignoring the Munich speech of Putin in 2007 was a mistake of the West.
This opinion was expressed by The Hill columnist Harlan Ullman. He recalled that the Russian president then insisted on commitment to a multipolar world:
“Putin launched an angry tirade against the United States as the only pole of power and against NATO expansion. The participants in the meeting were shocked by the vigor of Putin’s attacks, but on the whole they brushed them off.”
According to Ulman, the Russian leader felt that NATO and the United States had shown disrespect and ignored the theses, which “aggravated his growing resentment.”
