My my, new official holiday in Russia…
Medvedev says,
Today is the Day of reunification of new regions with Russia.
A year ago, at referendums, their residents made a fateful decision – to be with their Fatherland. This choice became a symbol not only of the restoration of historical justice, but also of the unity of the Russian people, their colossal will and dedication.
The special military operation will continue until the Nazi Kyiv regime is completely destroyed and the original Russian territories are liberated from the enemy.
Victory will be ours.And there will be more new regions within Russia.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Friends, citizens of Russia,
I congratulate you on the occasion of the Day of Reunification of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions with Russia.
A year ago, on September 30, a defining and truly historic event took place when agreements were signed to incorporate four new constituent entities into the Russian Federation. Millions of residents of Donbass and the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions made their choice to be with their Fatherland.
This conscious, long-awaited, hard-won and genuinely popular decision was made collectively through referendums in full compliance with international norms. People showed courage and integrity in the face of attempts to intimidate and deprive them of their right to determine their own future, their destiny, and to take away something every person values, namely, culture, traditions, and mother tongue, in a word, everything that was loathed by nationalists and their Western patrons who orchestrated a coup in Kiev in 2014 and then unleashed a full-scale civil war and terror against dissenters and organised blockades, constant shelling, and punitive actions in Donbass.
But nothing and no one can break the will of millions of people, or their belief in truth and historical justice. The free and unequivocal choice of our brothers and sisters was wholeheartedly supported by the Russian people. We understood and deeply felt the most important thing: by defending our compatriots in Donbass and Novorossiya, we are defending Russia itself. Together, we are fighting for the Motherland, for our sovereignty, spiritual values, unity, and victory. I thank all the citizens of the country for this solidarity and patriotism.
Today, we are also building our common future together, rebuilding and building schools and hospitals, housing and roads, museums and memorial sites. All our regions are providing truly fraternal assistance to the cities and towns of Donbass and Novorossiya. Volunteers, civil and religious organisations, parliamentary parties, entrepreneurs, and labour collectives all contribute to this work and common cause. Our entire large and united country is working together.
The recent elections in the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions were an important step in strengthening our common state and the political and legal space. Just like a year ago during the historic referendums, people once again expressed and reaffirmed their desire to be with Russia, and supported their fellow citizens who earned the people’s trust through hard work and real achievements.
Much work lies ahead of us to address complex challenges and implement a large-scale programme for the revival and socioeconomic development of our historical regions. We will by all means achieve our goals.
I would like to address the residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Lugansk People’s Republic, and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions specifically. Thank you for preserving and passing on your love for the Fatherland to your children despite all the trials. Thanks to you, your fortitude and determination, Russia has become even stronger. We are one people, and together we can overcome anything and meet any challenge.

Update: Again and again and again; Excuse me Prenses Hotel! Get the coffee under-control. Twice they reloaded it with chocolate powder instead of coffee whole roasted beans. Huh? One is beans and one is a powder. It grinds it beans fresh. Always out of water, milk and coffee empty…
Update: Ever seen a hotel that no one is the boss, but lots and lots of little bosses?
Update: Two of three meals opened very late and they forgot (?) afternoon cookies. Or maybe did not care?
Update: Still trying to find a stable coffee situation. It follows according to which employee wants to play which coffee game…
Update: Huge night time employee theft going on. Profits Prenses Profits!

Update: Prenses Hotel had a live band at dinner. This year they kept the sound level down and reasonable. For that I am thankful. Last year I had to become very upset because they blasted us with amped up music as we ate. Thank you Prenses…
Update: This year the park complex has decided that they should fog for mosquitoes as we eat our meals outside. The fogger is less than 10 meters away at times, spraying poison all over us. Not good and Sveta and I run…

Update: Evening walks are so nice and after sun goes down, nice and cool. Found a good pharmacy and we stocked up on necessary stuff. Pharmacy items are of different brands than Russia and we like several Turkish items available. Such as joint pain creams and such…

Update: Found another section of public beach. Interesting, but too shallow, can literally walk a half kilometer and never get deeper than waist high. Yet, locals with children love it, I can see why. Safer for kids. Like a gigantic kiddy pool… 😉

Update: Such a perfect sunrise this morning and beach was simply perfect. Almost empty and Sweetpea and I spent hours swimming. Didn’t want to come back to war-zone hotel. Last night many issues came to a head. Just watching, need popcorn… 😉
Update: As last year, hotel had shake down and things went bananas for the last two days. But… They are (attempting and or trying) stopping employee theft, trying to fix food, new boss, employees being interrogated, big money owners converged upon the place, changed nasty rap music to decent music and many other things…
Day late and dollar short, but they are trying. It is like they are reading my complaints and trying to change them? Interesting…
Update: Seriously thank you Prenses Hotel for removing the “Nigga Rap” music. Nothing worse than eating a meal with cuss words and rapping about raping women…
Update: Well it is sad to see management employees smoking water pipes at night at our dinner tables. Place has a thousand things wrong and a high level management is kicked-back enjoying life, smoking water-pipes, while customers are needing a place to sit to eat dinner. But…
Customers are actually removed from a certain table during peak business, so management can eat and goof off in front of us customers…
Employees, from lowest to highest never take precedence over a customer…

Update: In fighting is reaching bad news. At least two groups at each others throats. Prenses Hotel is war zone. Sad really, I feel sorry for the lady who is auditing everything right now. But there is one guy (we call him pink shirt guy) who is very upset at having his apple cart turned over and he is plotting. Got a testy feeling hotel a few minutes ago as we walked back from the beach and found employees very upset. Oh my…
Update: Time to start last and forth week…
I gave up and just enjoyed the last week. It had so many issue that I just gave up. Sad really, such a beautiful place to be run so poorly…
The saving grace is the location and the hotel is cheap and I guess you get what you pay for????
