What Lurks Behind Closed Doors…

I made a wonder cup of coffee this morning and started to sip it while I was doing some thinking: The world is full of well guarded closed doors…

It seems that my mind is stuck on the flagrant squelching of literally all our rights, freedoms and liberty. This is becoming more the norm in the World. It is strange that when you are living in the huge cities, it is real hard to see what is in front of your face. We grow up being bombarded daily with data, data, data and more data. This data starts from birth and never stops. The TV is the greatest baby sitter that was ever invented and now the computer fills the missing gaps…

TV became so important that we invented a whole subculture to help support it. TV guides, TV dinners, TV trays, TV remote controls, TV soap operas, TV sitcoms, TV news and so on and so on….but radio was the real start of control…

So when you go to another world (literally) that does not have TV/Radio/Internet running 24 hours a day, a computer in every home and school or even electricity, but half a day or less. You start seeing a difference in the people and their reactions to things…

So what am I getting at?

You can know the name of a bird in all the languages of the world, but when you’re finished, you’ll know absolutely nothing whatever about the bird… So let’s look at the bird and see what it’s doing — that’s what counts. I learned very early the difference between knowing the name of something and knowing something. – Richard Feynman (1918 – 1988)

Other words you can have access to everything the world has to offer, but if you cannot see the trees for the forest? If the doors are closed, blocked and locked to us? Be they obscured physically and or something as fluffy as a cloud, a foggy mind comes to my thoughts…

Then you are no better off than someone living on an island alone for 40 years. You would actually be worse off than the person living on the island. They have much more knowledge than you do about life and real things. They have survived without any exterior help. They have real knowledge…

Still confused?

Me Too, “But I know that this train of thought is important.

The fact that we are on sensory overload is done on purpose. We are allowed to have unfettered data streaming 24 hours a day – 365 days a year. We do not have time to stop and smell the coffee (much less the rose,) because if we did, we might discover as I have, that things are not in sync with the data that we acquire 24 hours a day…

We have all the information in the world and yet only part of it has corporeality to life as we know it… Doors have been closed by shear data overload…

I once had a little ancient man tell me something to my face. He was directing it at me personally…

“Being aware that you are unenlightened is the first step to knowledge. But knowledge in its basic raw form can hinder maturation!”

Recently, I understood what he was telling me…

We must learn to balance the data to utilize it to its fullest…

For only then will we see what lurks behind that closed door…
