Human Rights Watch says the Israeli military did use white phosphorus in Lebanon and Gaza on October 10 and 11, citing “verified video footage and eyewitness accounts.”
Earlier, the UN said that it had not received such reports. Initially, Israel blamed the Palestinian Foreign Ministry for this.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has accused the Israeli army of using white phosphorus munitions, which are prohibited by international conventions.
