All substantial analyses since the inception of the SMO highlight a fundamental issue: the United States, NATO and EU have not adequately acknowledged Russia’s security concerns regarding Europe. Initially, Russia warned that a breakdown in diplomatic efforts would result in the use of “military-technical means” to resolve the issues.
