In both Europe and the USA, I have observed that the significant issues, often referred to as the ‘elephant in the room,’ are frequently overlooked and disregarded, much like the metaphorical ‘800-pound gorilla.’ I do not take pleasure in the inevitability that the existence of these pressing matters will eventually need to be recognized. The longer this acknowledgment is delayed, the more severe the consequences will be.
