Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation (22 April 2024)
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.
The Yug Group of Forces units have fully liberated Novomikhailovka (Donetsk People’s Republic) as a result of the successful actions, and improved their tactical position along the front line.
Strikes were delivered at manpower and hardware of the 10th Mountain Assault, 79th, 92nd air assault, 46th, 81st airmobile, 22nd, 23rd, 28th, 41st, 93rd mechanised brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) close to Belogorovka (Lugansk People’s Republic), Spornoye, Minkovka, Kleshcheyevka, Chasov Yar, Andreyevka, and Ostroye (Donetsk People’s Republic).
Three counter-attacks launched by the AFU 33rd mechanised, 80th air assault brigades were repelled close to Bogdanovka and Pobeda (Donetsk People’s Republic).
The AFU losses amounted to up to 410 Ukrainian troops, nine motor vehicles, and one 122-mm Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system. One Anklav electronic warfare station and one ammunition depot were also eliminated.
The Zapad Group of Forces’ units captured more advantageous lines and inflicted losses on the 21st mechanised and 95th air assault brigades of the AFU near Terny (Donetsk People’s Republic).
Four counter-attacks launched by the 12th Special Forces Brigade (Azov) have been repelled near Grigorovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).
The AFU losses included up to 25 Ukrainian troops, two pickup trucks, and one 122-mm Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system.
The Tsentr Group of Forces’ units improved the tactical situation and repelled nine counter-attacks launched by the assault groups of the 25th air assault, 68th, 71st jaeger, 59th motorised infantry, 24th, 47th, 100th, and 115th mechanised brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Pervomayskoye, Semyonovka, Netaylovo, and Berdychi (Donetsk People’s Republic).
The AFU losses amounted to up to 365 Ukrainian troops, one German-made Marder infantry fighting vehicle, 12 motor vehicles, one 122-mm D-30 howitzer, as well as three electronic warfare stations: Nota and Bukovel-AD.
The Vostok Group of Forces’ units captured more advantageous lines and inflicted losses on the units of the 58th motorised infantry, 72nd mechanised brigades of the AFU, 102nd and 128th territorial defence brigades near Staromayorskoye, Ugledar, Urozhaynoye (Donetsk People’s Republic) and Chervonoye (Zaporozhye region).
The AFU losses amounted to up to 95 Ukrainian troops, two motor vehicles, and one UK-made 155-mm FH-70 howitzer.
The units of the Dnepr Group of Forces have inflicted fire damage on manpower and hardware of the AFU 141st infantry, 65th mechanised, and 128th mountain assault brigades near Rabotino, Novoandreyevka, and Stepovoye (Zaporozhye region).
The AFU losses amounted to up to 45 Ukrainian troops and two pickup trucks.
Operational-Tactical Aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces have engaged one air defence positioning area, one storage point for uncrewed surface vehicles, manpower and hardware of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 142 areas.
Air defence systems shot down 240 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles during the day.
In total, 592 airplanes, 270 helicopters, 22,529 unmanned aerial vehicles, 508 air-to-air missile systems, 15,817 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,269 MLRS combat vehicles, 9,040 field artillery guns and mortars, and 21,232 special military vehicles have been neutralised since the beginning of the special military operation.

Nice easy walks to stores to buy food, easy walk to various public beaches to study the aborigines and kilometers of every night walking in perfect safety. People locally are great. We never are bored and found many things to do. Everyone has different opinions, but safety is the big thing for us. There was even a Subway Sandwich shop only a few kilometers away. Oh my…

Two groups of outsiders whom have spoiled the real beauty of the area, yet are spending money and have to be tolerated. British and Ukrainians…
UAE is British and the Hotel catered to rich British, locals. Many years of British control is obvious and it is a sweet and sour aspect. But money talks and businesses are British and English is actually more the first language for the most part of all UAE. It was common place to have derogatory remarks about Americans as British groups sat around getting drunk (and we are talking seriously staggering drunk) and there were no Americans around at all, well except me and I listened to the hate filled rhetoric being spewed every evening…
Next is Ukrainian Refugees: You could actually call the Ukrainian’s local now, for whom we saw living in the UAE. Lots of someone else’s money, driving EV cars, extremely rude and look like something the cat has dragged in. No responsibility and never follow rules is their game and act the fool is their name…
The Ukrainians made the British look very good in comparison and I guess that is good for the British in a weird sort of way…
The reason I mention the above is that if you are not thick skinned, these two groups will destroy the vacation. The hotel is a British Resort as in #1 priority. As per normal Russians? There are better places in the UAE to go…

The Zapad Group of Forces’ units captured more advantageous lines and inflicted fire damage on manpower and hardware of AFU 77th airmobile, 43rd mechanised, and 110th territorial defence brigades near Beryozovka, Senkovo, and Zagoruykovka (Kharkov region).
Three attacks launched by assault groups of AFU 63rd mechanised, 12th and 18th national guard brigades were repelled close to Chervonaya Dibrova (Lugansk People’s Republic) and Grigorovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).
The AFU losses amounted to up to 30 Ukrainian troops, two armoured fighting vehicles, and three motor vehicles.
The Yug Group of Forces’ units improved the situation along the front line and inflicted fire damage on manpower and hardware of AFU 79th air assault, 46th airmobile, 22nd and 67th mechanised brigades close to Maksimilyanovka, Stupochki, Paraskoviyevka, and Kalinina (Donetsk People’s Republic).

The enemy lost up to 355 Ukrainian troops, two infantry fighting vehicles, and five motor vehicles.
In the course of the counterbattery warfare, one Czech-made 152-mm Dana self-propelled gun, one 152-mm D-20 howitzer, one 122-mm Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, and one 122-mm D-30 howitzer were hit.

The units of the Dnepr Group of Forces have inflicted fire damage on manpower and hardware of AFU 23rd national guard, 121st territorial defence brigades close to Nikopol (Dnepropetrovsk region), Mikhaylovka and Zolotaya Balka (Kherson region).
The enemy losses were more than 30 Ukrainian troops, four motor vehicles, one 152-mm D-20 gun, one 122-mm D-30 howitzer, and one U.S.-made 105-mm M119 howitzer.
Operational-Tactical Aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces have engaged one aviation fuel depot, two transport infrastructure facilities used for military purposes, as well as AFU manpower and hardware in 112 areas.
Russian air defence units have shot down one Su-25 aircraft of Ukrainian Air Force, 213 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as five French-made Hammer aerial guided bombs.
In total, 591 airplanes and 270 helicopters, 22,095 unmanned aerial vehicles, 506 air defence missile systems, 15,812 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 1,267 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 8,991 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 21,183 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.
