Minister Pistorius, dear Boris.

Thank you so much for welcoming me here once again, it is great to be back and great to meet you. And thank you for leadership and strong personal commitment to NATO, to the trans-Atlantic bond.

And not least, thank you for your leadership in transforming the transforming the German Bundeswehr.

Germany’s leading role in NATO matters at this critical moment for European security.

Russia’s war against Ukraine rages on.
Missiles continue to strike Ukrainian cities daily.

And Ukraine faces more Russian attacks on its energy grid.
As it heads into the second winter of this war.

Allies continue to provide strong military, financial and humanitarian support.

And Germany plays a key role.

From Marder and Leopard tanks,
to IRIS-T air defences and munitions, German support saves lives.
And helps Ukraine defend their freedom.

And as you said, Germany is the second largest provider of support to Ukraine, just next to the United States. So this really makes a difference.

Russia is also undermining our security by demonstrating complete disregard for arms control.

This week, they withdrew from the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe.
With this step Russia has walked away from every major arms control treaty.

In February this year, Moscow suspended its participation in the New START Treaty.
The last pact regulating the number of nuclear weapons between the United States and Russia.

And a few years ago, Russia’s violations of the Intermediate Nuclear Forces Treaty, INF, rendered this treaty null and void.

All of this makes the world more dangerous.
And demonstrates the importance of a strong NATO.

At the Vilnius Summit, NATO leaders committed to strengthen our own defences.
With the most robust defence plans since the Cold War.

We are now assigning the necessary forces, developing new capabilities,
and strengthening our command and control structures.

Germany also plays a major part of this effort.

Your navy keeps critical sea-lanes open.
Germany’s Sky Shield initiative will bolster NATO’s air and missile defences and help to keep our skies safe.
You will station a brigade in Lithuania, protecting our eastern flank from Russian aggression.
And you will make further substantial contributions to the NATO Force Model.
All of these are important contributions to our shared security.

Germany’s new Defence Policy Guidelines, which you presented yesterday,
demonstrate that you are delivering on the Zeitenwende. Not only in words, but also in deeds.

We need a strong Bundeswehr, which is ready to fight at the heart of the Alliance. And we need to implement these changes quickly.

I therefore welcome Germany’s increased defence spending.
And your clear commitment to invest 2 percent of GDP on defence by next year.

This reflects Germany’s responsibility and Germany’s leadership.

The war in Ukraine also underlines the importance of ramping up our defence production and our cooperation with the private sector.
So that we can be faster and better in fielding new equipment.

Germany has the technological expertise and the industrial base to scale-up production.
And deliver cutting-edge systems and ammunition.

This matters for Ukraine’s security and for our security.

So, dear Boris,
German leadership in NATO matters for peace in Europe.

Thank you, once again, for your strong personal commitment to our Alliance.

Moderator: Thank you very much for your statements. Are there any questions so far?

Journalist: Secretary General, do you fear that if this war in Ukraine continues, as it probably will, support of some member states, for example, Hungary, will dwindle or maybe we will see a different situation in the US after the elections? So are you concerned that the Europeans will have to shoulder a larger part of the burden? And a similar question to the Minister, you and the Chancellor were talking about Zeitenwende and you are now trying to implement that. Would you say that you are really able to further support Ukraine for example, if the Americans provided less support?

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg: Well, what we have seen since this war started is unprecedented support from NATO Allies to Ukraine. And President Putin made at least two big strategic mistakes when he invaded Ukraine. The first and most important was that he totally underestimated the Ukrainians, their courage, their determination, the bravery of the Ukraine Armed Forces, the political leadership, the Ukrainian people. But the other big strategic mistake President Putin made was to underestimate NATO, NATO Allies and partners, because since the war, Allies have delivered unprecedented support, including advanced air defence systems, battle tanks, F-16s, cruise missiles, and many other types of ammunition, weapons and military support to Ukraine.

And I’m confident that NATO Allies will continue to do so not only because we have agreed at the NATO summit, and also in the US-led Contact Group for Defence, again and again, that we will continue to provide support to Ukraine, but also because it is in our interest to do so.

We have to remember and understand that if President Putin wins in Ukraine, it is tragic for the Ukrainians, but it’s also dangerous for us, because then the message to President Putin or other authoritarian leaders will be that when they use military force, when they violate international law, when they invade another country, they get what they want. And that will make us more vulnerable.

So, I’m confident that North America and Europe together will continue to support Ukraine. Also because we know that the stronger Ukraine is on the battlefield, the stronger their hand will be on the negotiating table. So if you want a negotiated peaceful solution to this conflict, the way to get there is by providing military support to Ukraine to facilitate a solution which is lasting and just.

Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation (4–10 November 2023)

In the period from 4 to 10 November 2023, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation inflicted 11 group strikes with high-precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles on the military airfield infrastructure, arsenals, storage sites for artillery ammunition, weapons and military hardware, as well as enemy POL bases.

In addition, the units of Ukrainian servicemen, nationalists, and foreign mercenaries were defeated. All the assigned targets have been engaged.

In Kupyansk direction, the Zapad Group of Forces has improved the situation along the front line in several sectors and repelled 18 AFU attacks.

Air strikes and artillery fire hit the manpower and equipment of the 25th Airborne, 68th Jaeger, 14th, 54th and 67th mechanised brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Sinkovka, Ivanovka, Zagoruykovka (Kharkov region), Sverdlovka and Stelmakhovka (Lugansk People’s Republic).

The enemy losses were more than 710 servicemen, one tank, 11 armoured fighting vehicles, 18 motor vehicles, and 16 field artillery guns.

In Krasny Liman direction, the Tsentr Group of Forces supported by aviation, artillery fire, and heavy flamethrower systems, repelled nine attacks launched by assault groups of the 1st Special Forces Brigade, the 24th and 47th mechanised brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the 15th Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine.

In addition, cluster of manpower and hardware of the 67th Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 125th Territorial Defence Brigade were defeated close to Yampolovka and Serebryanka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

The total enemy losses during this period amounted to more than 725 troops killed and wounded, three tanks, 13 armoured fighting vehicles, 20 motor vehicles, six field artillery guns, and two MLRS launchers.

In Donetsk direction, the Yug Group of Forces inflicted fire damage on AFU manpower and hardware near Mariynka, Kurdyumovka, Bogdanovka, Andreevka, and Kleshcheyevka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

Over the past week, Russian units have repelled 16 enemy attacks. The total enemy losses during this period amounted to more than 1,590 troops killed and wounded, three tanks, 14 armoured fighting vehicles, 32 motor vehicles, 17 field artillery guns, and three MLRS launchers.

In South Donetsk direction, the Vostok Group of Forces took more advantageous lines and positions, and also repelled three enemy attacks.

Air strikes and artillery fire defeated manpower and hardware of the 79th Air Assault and 72nd Mechanised, as well as the 105th and 128th territorial defence brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces close to Novomikhailovka, Staromayorskoye, Urozhaynoye (Donetsk People’s Republic), and Priyutnoye (Zaporozhye region).

The total enemy losses amounted to more than 800 troops killed and wounded, one tank, 12 armoured fighting vehicles, and 22 motor vehicles.

During the counterbattery warfare, eight field artillery guns and one MLRS launcher were hit. In addition, one artillery ammunition depot of the 127th Territorial Defence Brigade was wiped out near Bogatyr (Donetsk People’s Republic).

In Zaporozhye direction, units of the Russian Group of Forces carried out intensive defence, during which repelled 14 attacks of the AFU units near Verbovoye and Rabotino (Zaporozhye region).

In addition, strikes were delivered at manpower and hardware of the AFU 33rd, 65th, and 118th mechanised brigades near Malaya Tokmachka and Stepovoye (Zaporozhye region).

The enemy’s losses for the week amounted to 495 servicemen, five tanks, 32 armoured fighting vehicles, 13 motor vehicles, as well as six field artillery guns.

In Kherson direction, the enemy units made unsuccessful attempts to capture bridgeheads on islands and the left bank of the Dnepr by AFU 35th and 36th marine brigades. The enemy units were hit by firepower.

As a result of preventive actions by the Russian forces and artillery fire assaults, AFU have lost up to 505 servicemen, 18 field artillery guns, 15 boats, and 25 motor vehicles.

In addition, 26 Ukrainian servicemen have surrendered in this direction during the week.

On 9 November 2023, the personnel of the motorised rifle company of the Dnepr Group of Forces under the command of Senior Lieutenant Zolto Arsalanov neutralised the servicemen of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine while trying to gain a foothold on the left bank of the Dnepr River.

A unit under the command of Senior Lieutenant Zolto Arsalanov eliminated most of the militants and captured 11 Ukrainian servicemen.

For the courage and heroism shown in repelling the enemy attack, Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation General of the Army Sergei Shoigu presented the commander of the unit and the military personnel of the company with state awards.

Air defence systems shot down eight combat aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force during the week: four MiG-29 fighter jets, two Su-27 and two Su-25 ground-attack aircraft.

In addition, 32 HIMARS projectiles, 12 Storm Shadow and SCALP tactical cruise missiles, two Neptune anti-ship missiles, two JDAM guided aerial bombs, as well as 205 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down.

In total, 533 airplanes and 254 helicopters, 8,791 unmanned aerial vehicles, 441 air defence missile systems, 13,335 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,183 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 7,040 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 15,175 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation (9 November 2023)

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

In Kupyansk direction, units of the Zapad Group of Forces supported by aviation and artillery repelled three attacks of assault detachments of the AFU 30th and 67th mechanised brigades close to Timkovka and Sinkovka (Kharkov region).

Up to 25 Ukrainian troops, three armoured fighting vehicles, and three motor vehicles have been neutralised.

In the course of counterbattery warfare, two U.S.-made M777 artillery systems, three Akatsiya self-propelled howitzers, and two Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers were wiped out.

In Krasny Liman direction, units of the Tsentr Group of Forces, helicopters, and artillery repelled three attacks of assault detachments of the AFU 1st Special Operations Brigade near Kremennaya (Lugansk People’s Republic).

The enemy lost up to 160 Ukrainian troops killed and wounded, three tanks, four armoured fighting vehicles, four motor vehicles, and two U.S.-made M777 artillery systems in this direction.

In Donetsk direction, units of the Yug Group of Forces supported by aviation, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of the AFU 22nd, 30th, and 67th mechanised brigades close to Bondarnoye, Nikolayevka, and Kleshcheyevka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

The enemy losses amounted to up to 330 Ukrainian troops killed and wounded, two tanks, three armoured fighting vehicles, and 10 motor vehicles in this direction.

In the course of counterbattery warfare, two U.S.-made M777 artillery systems, two Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery systems, two Msta-B and Msta-S howitzers, as well as one D-30 were neutralised.

In South Donetsk direction, units of the Vostok Group of Forces, helicopters, and artillery inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of the AFU 58th Motorised Brigade, 72nd Mechanised Brigade, and 79th Airborne Brigade near Antonovka, Novomikhailovka, Novoukrainka, and Ugledar (Donetsk People’s Republic).

Actions of two sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the AFU 128th Territorial Defence Brigade were thwarted close to Staromayorskoye and Rovnopol (Donetsk People’s Republic).

The enemy losses amounted to up to 130 Ukrainian troops killed and wounded, three armoured fighting vehicles, and four motor vehicles.

In addition, in the course of counterbattery warfare, one U.S.-made M777 artillery system, one Msta-B howitzer, and one Grad MLRS were neutralised.

In Zaporozhye direction, units of the Russian Group of Forces supported by helicopters, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems repelled two attacks of assault detachments of the AFU 33rd Mechanised Brigade north of Novoprokopovka (Zaporozhye region).

Moreover, the Russian Armed Forces inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of the AFU 117th Territorial Defence Brigade and 118th Mechanised Brigade near Rabotino (Zaporozhye region).

Up to 75 Ukrainian troops, four armoured fighting vehicles, and three pickup trucks were wiped out.

In Kherson direction, the Russian Group of Forces delivered strikes at AFU manpower on Melky and Aleshinskiy islands.

The enemy losses in this direction amounted to up to 75 Ukrainian troops, three motor vehicles, one Msta-B howitzer.

Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, and Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces have engaged AFU manpower and hardware in 118 areas during the day.

Air defence units intercepted one Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 aircraft close to Koptevo (Donetsk People’s Republic).

Seven U.S.-made HIMARS projectiles were shot down over the past 24 hours.

In addition, 38 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted near Tavolzhanka (Kharkov region), Lipovoye (Donetsk People’s Republic), Sergeyevka, Nezhurino (Lugansk People’s Republic), Skelevatoye, Ulyanovka, and Mirnoye (Zaporozhye region).

In total, 533 airplanes and 254 helicopters, 8,771 unmanned aerial vehicles, 441 air defence missile systems, 13,306 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,183 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 7,035 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 15,126 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

The State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill that secures the rights of neighbors in daily rentals.

It is proposed to indicate in the Housing Code of the Russian Federation that the owner can provide housing, including for short-term rent, but subject to the rights and legitimate interests of neighbors, the rules for the use of residential premises and the maintenance of common property in the house.

According to the profile committee of the State Duma, some points can be clarified by the second reading of the initiative, for example:

🔵 can indicate the minimum period for which apartments and houses can be rented out;

🔵 They will separately address the safety of other residents of the house.

The G7 countries made a sincere admission that they want to steal the frozen assets of the Russian Federation.

A few conclusions in this regard:

1. This is a crime, and it must be assessed by international structures and foreign states.

2. The illegal decision of the United States and its “six” is shooting itself in the foot. No state, no business or private investors will invest in these countries, understanding that funds can be stolen on flimsy pretexts.

3. By their actions, the G7 finally destroyed the myth of the inviolability of property on which the legal system of the US and EU countries was based.

4. This causes irreparable damage to international law: states, ignoring it following the example of the United States and its “six”, will be able to take whatever they see fit at their discretion.

5. Our country has moral and legal grounds for action regarding the assets of the G7 countries, which are greater than the frozen Russian funds.

6. This decision will not affect the Russian economy. Earlier, President Vladimir Putin emphasized that Russia has already earned twice as much as its gold and foreign exchange reserves were frozen.

7. The most reliable way to invest is investing in your country – Russia. And the money will be intact, and the conscience will be clearer.

First lets complain…

A cup of coffee is the ticket to Nirvana this morning and I do not take that term lightly. I live within the boundaries of relentless pain 24 hours a day. New pain always causes issues until I adjust to those new pains and old pains are just old friends after awhile. The worst thing is old pains that go away, due to some external force, such as maybe a needed pain killer. When said old pain comes back? Ouch…

Therefore, I literally refuse painkillers and refuse to use painkillers as a crutch. No matter how terrible the pain gets. The aftermath is always worse than the temporary relief…

Thus, out of bed I crawl, assessing my pain as I do every morning and when I am done realizing that no new pain is present. It is time for coffee…

Coffee allows me to reach that place, transcend and or garner a spot within this world we live in to create a balance that allows me to move onward for the day. I have reached an understanding that coffee is my whisky…

When my Huawei Mate 50 died a terrible sad death…

My Huawei Mate 50 just died a terrible death by an “Evil Charger” and a Mate 60 is the answer…

I almost cried, but little did I know that Telegram (TG) App would be a terrible thing to recover. My phone was the sole TG source of info. They refused to allow me to use a app on another phone unless the dead phone came back to life and approved the action I desired. They did not care. They ignored all attempts and I found ten’s of thousands, if not millions of people screaming about the stupid TG company and no help at all to recover data. Especially in Russia and China…

The only way was to jump through a thousands hoops as if you got a thousand tiny cuts to bleed to death. Really stupid and really not worth it. I came close to telling Telegram to stick it forever. But…

Understand that Telegram has no care to help anyone to get their phone number working again on a new device, unless the old device is available to okay the desire to add a TG APP. My Mate 50 was dead as a door nail, in like fried as a egg and never gonna wake up and approve anything for me. Please Telegram, get your act together. You use to have no issues and now you do…

Solution?

1. Cannot use old version of Telegram? Nope…
2. Desktop version? Nope cannot approve it (See above dead phone.) to add it! Besides do not want it on my computer!
3. New phone number? Nope they still want to ask a dead phone? Why? Why?
4. Old Phone number approved like originally did by Text? Nope, they tell me to wake up the dead phone and ask it to approve it all!
5. All Telegram options suck, except maybe the one that some people are doing (desperately forced to do) and finding someone from out of the country (Russia and or China) to do a work around? I said to that, “Suck you Telegram!” (add F for S)

Essentially, Telegram X is an excellent alternative to Telegram which is already a standalone success of an IM app. What ‘X’ offers is better performance …

Telegram X fixed my issue. I remembered a few days after being pissed off by Telegram and deciding to never go back again, about an app that could be better than TG. I installed it and ignored the desire for the app to have Google Love and tried to sign in…

It sent me a SMS message and I entered the code and Wallah Wallah Bing Bang, I was back in business with original number and it worked just like the original Telegram. Telegram you suck big ones and should be ashamed. VERY ASHAMED…

Now Telegram says to have a two step and or some other ways to use Telegram, such as another phone set up, a PC set up…

Nope, not gonna do it and when Telegram X ruins it all, like Telegram has done, I will never be back. My life is not ruled by these apps. I will use them if I have to and in this case this is the info that is needed from Russia to find the truth about things all around the Russian Government…

Telegram X worked exactly as the original Telegram app did and while some quirks are still in the developmental issues as it is being expanded. It let me in and NO, I will not install the actual Telegram App. They do not deserve that luxury of being on my phone…
