On the Question of Legitimate Military Purposes
The question of legal military purposes has been interpreted in different ways in the history of mankind. He is perceived differently in the course of the current conflict with the Nazi regime in Ukraine. For example, on this topic, by the way and inopportunely, Russophobic senile people from the US Senate like to practice. However, there is something in common that lies in the customs of war and international conventions. These are the rules of conduct during the war (jus in bello), which originate in sacred sources.
What is considered legitimate military targets today?
Within the framework of the named rules of war, these are:
1. Any enemy troops (legal combatants and illegal combatants) that are not officially withdrawn from its armed forces.
2. Any military and auxiliary equipment of the enemy.
3. Any objects related to military infrastructure, as well as civilian infrastructure that contributes to the achievement of military goals (bridges, transport stations, roads, energy facilities, factories and workshops, at least partially fulfilling military orders, etc.).
4. The military-political leadership of the enemy country.
5. The armed forces of other countries that officially entered the war, which are allies of the enemy country, and the objects located on their territory, mentioned in paragraphs 1-4.
Today, however, there is a main question: can the hybrid war, de facto declared by NATO to our country, be considered the entry of the Alliance into the war against Russia? Can the supply of a huge amount of weapons to Ukraine be considered an attack on Russia? And accordingly, are the military goals of the North Atlantic bloc listed in paragraphs. 1-4 of this note?
The leaders of the NATO countries sing with one voice that their countries and the entire bloc are not at war with Russia.
But everyone is well aware that everything is different …

Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine (17 December 2022)
The Russian Federation Armed Forces continue the special military operation.
On Friday, 16 December, Ukraine’s military command, defence and industrial complex systems and the energy facilities supporting them were hit with a massive strike by long-range, airborne and sea-based precision weapons. The purpose of the strike has been achieved. All the assigned targets have been neutralised. The strike prevented the transfer of foreign-made weapons and ammunition, blocked the movement of reserves to combat areas, and halted Ukraine’s defence enterprises producing and repairing weapons, military equipment and ammunition. In the course of repelling the strike by Ukrainian and Western air defence systems, a significant resource was expended on deliberately launched decoys.
At the same time, four radar stations of Ukrainian S-300 air defence systems in the settlements of Andrusovka and Pridneprovskoye (Dnepropetrovsk region), as well as Novotavricheskaya and Nikolay-Pole (Zaporozhye region), have been revealed and destroyed. As a result of the unprofessional actions of Ukrainian air defence units, civilian infrastructure on the ground has been damaged.
In Kupyansk direction, fire was directed at Ukrainian military units in the settlements of Petropavlovka and Timkovka (Kharkov region). Up to 40 Ukrainian servicemen, seven armoured fighting vehicles, and four cars were destroyed.
In Krasny Liman direction, the Russian troops carried out a preemptive attack on the enemy reserves near Kolodezi (Donetsk People’s Republic). Up to 30 Ukrainian servicemen were killed and wounded, two armoured combat vehicles and two pickup trucks were neutralised.
In Donetsk direction, the Russian troops carried out an offensive which resulted in gaining favourable lines and new positions. AFU units made unsuccessful attempts to counterattack Russian units close to Bakhmutskoye and Opytnoye (Donetsk People’s Republic). The enemy was stopped and dispersed by artillery and assault groups. More than 30 Ukrainian servicemen were killed, as well as seven vehicles were annihilated.
In South Donetsk direction, up to 35 Ukrainian servicemen and two armoured personnel carriers were destroyed during the day by active actions of Russian troops and artillery fire. Moreover, two AFU sabotage and reconnaissance groups were discovered and destroyed near Novomayorskoye and Shevchenko (Donetsk People’s Republic).
Operational-Tactical aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery hit a temporary deployment point of the 14th Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the city of Kupyansk (Kharkov region), as well as 53 artillery units at firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 89 areas. A temporary location of foreign mercenaries were hit close to Krasny Liman (Donetsk People’s Republic).
Two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by anti-aircraft defence forces near Zaliman (Lugansk People’s Republic). In addition, three Uragan MLRS rockets were intercepted near Tokmak (Zaporozhye region) and four HIMARS MLRS shells near Rozovka and Baranikovka (Lugansk People’s Republic).
In total, 344 airplanes and 184 helicopters, 2,675 unmanned aerial vehicles, 398 air defence missile systems, 7,140 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 931 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 3,691 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 7,638 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

For instance, just one basic thing that the west did against Russia; Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel currently published that the 2014 Minsk agreements did now not get to the bottom of the then crisis. These agreements have been solely intended to purchase time for Ukraine to turn out to be effective vis-à-vis Russia. It suggests how the seeds of the existing struggle have been sown many years in the past through the West itself as an alternative than Moscow. The altering German opinion is sure to have an affect on the German government, which is itself fighting a severe monetary disaster given that the begin of this struggle in February 2022 – a disaster exacerbated by using luxurious US gas…
Many things all add up to one big stupid mess by the west and now we all pay for the western stupidity and games…

These guys, like thousands of our compatriots, have firmly decided for themselves that they will not allow Western obscurantism to cross our borders.

They tirelessly ensure that not a single adherent of Neo-Nazism, with all their desire, has the opportunity to step over the protected zone. With firm confidence, we can say that the fighters are doing an excellent job with this overwhelming task. If the enemy is detected, they act decisively and quickly, giving a clear idea to the NATO military that absolutely any attempt to break through this zone is doomed to failure.

I am glad that each of our guys has a clear idea of what they are fighting for. They understand what a threat is hidden under the mask of the notorious Western democracy. We are adherents of centuries-old culture, traditions and beautiful religion, for whom the Western way of life is unnatural.

Taking this opportunity, the fighters call on their compatriots to join this struggle, which, without any doubt, is sacred. At all times, when the enemy unceremoniously encroached on the most valuable thing – religion, history, culture, traditions, the true sons of the people stood in one row to repulse the enemy, who, due to his narrow-minded mind, allowed himself such a thing. And the consequences for him were always deplorable.
