I have talked about Snowden several times here on the website. I am not a fan of his and do not, as I have said about Assange also, believe that they are exactly what we are lead to believe about them…
Yet, I do know that Snowden, Assange and Manning have been messed up royally and Snowden will only mess his life up even more if he trusts the country that he tried to get information out about….information he deemed to be important enough to change his life over!
Everyday I wonder about Julian Assange, Manning and or Snowden…
But Snowden can do what he pleases and if going back to America is his dream? More power to him…
I have been in Russia since 2006 and I know Russia and the Russian people. Snowden has been treated very good and has had a very free life here in Russia. In fact, the fact he would even leave Russia is just one more thorn in his side as to his true intentions and what he is all about…
So seriously, from someone who lives in Russia and is an American, why would you destroy your life and try to go back to the demon pit that you so despise so much that you had to cause a scandal and steal data from?

Somewhere I lost the plot and or the USA lost the plot:
I think it is a bit of both. I woke up and grew up and the US went to sleep and regressed. Then something woke the US up and they went into panic mode. Instead of meeting the issues being laid out in front of us legally, morally and methodically. We chose the low road of fear and definitely allowed greed to guide that fear…
Fear can be used to better yourself and facing fear is a good thing. I have had to face my fears many times and do what is right and not walk a path around those fears…
I just faced a big issue for me. I had to repair the roof of our barn and I am here to tell you that I am scared to deaths of heights. I mean so scared that I get weak and shake uncontrollably. I have to meet this fear head on and while it will never go away, I have to embrace it and hold its hand while I do what has to be done. I am fixing the roof of the barn and yes, fear of heights, has made my work harder. But I am taking it one step at a time and using it to accomplish what I have to do….I am almost done fixing the roof…
There is a right way and a wrong way:
There two ways to deal with things in the world. As a country like America, they can either follow the rule of law and allow competition, other countries and people to be what they want to be and to fight square on face to face. E.g. – Amazon is losing to Alibaba, then Amazon needs to do what it can to be better than Alibaba. If GM cannot compete then GM needs to change. If Iran does not bow down and kiss your feet? Then you need to reassess how you approach them. Always look at how you are creating the situation first, then maybe you will see the errors you have made. If Russia wants to work with you? Then look in the mirror and see how the hate you are spewing is clouding your judgment. This is on and on with millions of things daily around the world…
The other way we can do things with the world is, “Act like we are the cat’s meow!” and treat everyone like crap…
Looks like we have decided that, “Treating everyone like crap!” is the answer:
That is the way to isolation, which leads to more fear and more fear applied the wrong way….leads to more decisions that lead to more isolation and more fear. Not even greed of money can stop the inevitable decline of our country…
Everyday, the distance between the USA and the rest of the world gets farther and farther. Every attack upon a company by the US Gov shows the world what we are about. Every sanction applied illegally, shows who we are in face value. Every treaty we break, every handshake we break, every country we attack, every sanction we apply? All lead to a cumulative effect and the end result is one of total lost trust in the USA…
I am telling you that fear and greed are huge deterrents to a good life and right now they both rule America and her actions around the world…
Something changed in the USA and well maybe it was always there? I guess I chose to ignore it for a very longtime. Yet so did the whole world and now I watch the world waking up to what the US is really about…

Russia did not play the game, they patiently said no and watched as the rope was dealt out for Lukashenko to tie the knot himself. The West will never change and cannot ever be trusted, yet Lukashenko tried to play one side against the other….we have seen this short term tactic used by many countries in the past…

Therefore, I have talked about this issue on WtR and find it appalling that we the so called greatest country in the world, would ever think, do and contemplate; “Passing the Buck!”
A funny thing happened on the way to the Soap Opera:
This human existences has become one huge world wide, “Passing the buck!”
The soap opera that we call Earth is nothing but that….there are few now who do not look at the others and point fingers and blame everyone but themselves….the newest generations accept that passing the buck is acceptable…
I think 99% of all our issues we are seeing today worldwide would and could not be solved by simply saying, “The Buck Stops Here!”
Accountability is a major part of keep things in line. If you are accountable and held to accountability? You have a tendency to get it right, either the first time and or correct it when you are wrong. But, when you can just pass the buck? Never is anyone to blame for your stupidity and intentional actions against others…
That would be a good name for the world wide soap opera…

PS: I am to blame as much as anyone. I watched all this happen and until late in life, did nothing and or said nothing about it all. But, I try now and that is better than 99% of the people running around and saying, “What did I do!” or better yet, “What did you not do?”
Fall is here. The leaves are changing, the fields are brown, The mosquitoes are almost gone, the horseflies have said goodbye, the days are getting very short quickly, single digit temperatures at night, only twenty degrees high in the daytime and the migratory birds are all practicing flying formation to get ready…
In about four months I have gone from the end of winter and now am staring at the start of winter again. For fall is very short, just like spring and summer here in Russia. Summer as normal was about two to three weeks long….I never stopped wearing long sleeves and winter pants. In Russia the only change of clothing to summer is to stop wearing long underwear and not have on three shirts and a coat. It is looking like soon that the long-johns will be going back on…
At 3 a.m. I was woke. It was not just a few weeks ago that I was walking at this time and it was very light out. I woke to pure darkness and shook my head as I said to nobody in particular, “How did the earth tilt so fast again?”
Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate all that spring, summer and fall bring and we still have some warm days to come, but in Russia, I have to start getting mentally prepared for winter and do not let your guard down….winter will catch you off guard easily…
Projects have to be either finished up and done and or do not even start them…
Today I have to get a tire fixed on Sammy the Volga. A very slow leak that takes four or five days to go down has developed and there is a place in a nearby village that repairs tires. So knowing Russia, I will be trying to get the tire fixed from 8 a.m. to at least Noon….things move slow here in Russia and there will not be any other customers, just me….I promise that is true and it took me awhile to get use to such ways of life…
Russia has really thrown a wrench in the Global Bull Sh#$….First on a vaccine for coronavirus and for us here in Russia, things will basically go back to normal (Okay, as normal as Russians can ever be). Does not matter what you think of it all. Russia found a way to “middle finger” the west and its antics…
I don’t fall for all the hype over this virus, but I am not stupid either and am thankful that Russia has thrown a wrench in the spanners, so to say…
Time to get the vaccine (I trust the Russian vaccine long before I would trust one from the Western Empire.) and get on with life. Think you in the western world will see the same? Yea, maybe 2021….maybe!
Sveta and I have to start thinking about where to go and spend a vacation. I really want to get back to Ajman, Emirate and enjoy the lights fantastic. I hope soon that we can get there without too much coronavirus issues…
Our favorite hotel there has offered us some free rooms for several nights and the food is just fantastic, not to say that the ocean is crystal clear and the people all over Ajman are very friendly. I would love to have a winter home there to spend time to recharge the batteries, so to say…
Still raining, yet it is finally light out and I really want to walk. Therefore, I am ending this thinking session and going to go out and enjoy the light rain. Gotta take what you get as dealt by the cards and make do. Time to wake up and smell the coffee…
