The US State Department has issued a formal condemnation of the Iranian government following two days of economic protests centering in a handful of cities, calling the regime “a rogue state whose chief exports are violence, bloodshed, and chaos” while announcing support for protesters. It fits a familiar script which seems to roll out when anyone protests for any reason in a country considered an enemy of the United States (whether over economic grievances or full on calling for government overthrow).
First tanker of Russian gas arrives in UK to keep Britons from freezing this winter — RT Business News
Russian tanker Christophe de Margerie has brought the first batch of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Yamal to the United Kingdom. London had to urgently turn to Russian gas targeted by US sanctions due to supply outages.
Evil Russians are helping London folks not to freeze in winter. How evil are these “Roosskiy’s”? ~sarc~
Politics have no relation to morals. – (Niccolo Machiavelli); and it is morally right to help out the neighbors even if the neighbors have been a pain in the arse….
Besides Russia just wants to sell the Gaz…and politics does not get in the way for Russia…
Sometimes Sveta does things that makes no sense to me and yet they do make sense. Does that make sense?
Yesterday, Svetochka brought home four packs of Gingerbread Cookies….now understand that gingerbread cookies are the base for the pie crust of the pumpkin pies I make. But….a pack of gingerbread cookies will make three pies…
So since we do not eat the cookies for any reason other than pumpkin pies and the cookies are available everywhere. I have to shake my head and come to the conclusion that Sveta wants me to make twelve pumpkin pies in the future. Actually eleven, for one will be made very soon as in the present for New Years… 😉
Svetochka has her camera back and is taking images constantly. She is now back to sneaking around and catching Boza and I and Moscow at doing their thing. She is a happy girl when her camera works and I would say that the best Christmas gift was to rebuild her Samsung Galaxy 4 Zoom…
No one is safe again from her camera… 😉
Boza knows when daddy cooks, good stuff too munch on is coming. For the holidays, I have rotisserie a Pheasant and a Cornish Game Hen. Boza and Svetochka gave their approval of these delicacies and Svetochka even got her Bear style Pumpkin Pie…
We ran on our laptop for a week or so and then after I gathered up parts. Motherboard, CPU, RAM and other tidbits. I rebuilt the computer. Svetochka had to help me for the last several connections, I needed a navigator on the PDF manual for the last tiny front panel connections on the motherboard and we got it done, thanks to Sveta…
Yesterday, I finished the final check list on what I did and fired it up. I had my flash drive with Windows 7, 64bit and in a few minutes she came to life and in a few hours, ready for Svetochka to get back online with. Therefore, here I am today irritating the world with Russian stuff…
Better than new, the lifeline to the outside world….good or bad, however you want to see it…
I have just finished my twelfth Christmas in Russia…
I had Twelve Halloweens…
Twelve Thanksgivings… Soon…
Twelve New Years…
Twelve Birthdays right after that…
Twelve Easters and so on and so on…
No not twelve days in Russia, not twelve weeks in Russia, not twelve months in Russia…
Going on twelve years in Russia….not quite twelve years officially, but I go by holidays, Svetochka tells me that I am wrong to look at it that way. I see her point from her world; Russians do not hardly acknowledge life events until they happen. But since I am American and getting old and grouchy…
I dance a jig as soon as I think of such things as time passages. Gotta dance while I still can… 😉
With the exception of western based companies like Globus and such, the florescent light bulb that is so horrendous, both for finances and health is dying in Russia. Even Moscow has accepted incandescent bulbs as a necessity. I am very happy to see that happen…. Russian made incandescent light bulbs, just 10 to 20 rubles each, compared to 200 or so rubles for a florescent light bulb to screw into your lamp socket…
That is Russia for you and I love that part of Russia…
“One belt – one Road” is a terrible turbulent nightmare for Washington DC in the US. The ongoing successful enactment of the “One Belt – One Road” will not only lead to strengthening the unitary accomplishment of Eurasia, but also will batten down a secure access route for the European, Russian and Chinese markets. Simply leaving the outside looking in at the massive Eurasian (5.2 + billion people) stand alone market. This “One Belt – One Road” market will have around 65% of the worlds population and have access to around 75% of the worlds energy sources; all alone all by themselves. This is a very good reason for insurgence in Afghanistan (again) by the USA, with Syria as a lost cause, bigger fish have surfaced and fear of loss of world power by the west is looming…. This situation is an important point in the world right now, controlling what is “jump starting” the economic and assimilation of the logistical integration of Eurasia into viability, or as the Western Empire would desire, simply kill it and sleep better at night…
I have talked about many times the wind changing direction and power flowing to the east…
Search link above for many articles on this subject…. it started years ago and is now climbing rapidly to the apogee…
This issue is above and part of all that is happening. Power is shifting, hate is flowing and the supremacy of the dollar is at stake. Europe is part of this change and underneath all that is happening, Europe wants to be part of that change. It is necessary for Europe’s survival and you need to be watching what is happening in the Eastern world…
I am thankful that Russia has finally decided that east is the direction to go…
One has to wonder why is there such a foaming at the mouth, flippen middle finger pointing focused on and at Russia, 24/7/365, almost as if there are some really unmalleable questions that need to be raised and then riposted by those that are wretchedly deflecting the reality…
There are things happening, have happened and have always happened around the world. A sane humanity would not be in the position that we are finding ourselves. This insanity has reared its head many times in our history on this planet…
Just as a example, but fitting for the way us humans live on earth…
Ask a typical American how the United States got into World War II, and he will almost certainly tell you that the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor and the Americans fought back. Ask him why the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, and he will probably need some time to gather his thoughts. He might say that the Japanese were aggressive militarists who wanted to take over the world, or at least the Asia-
When I came to Russia I could not find cream cheese… This was granted many years ago, but still no cream cheese for many years thereafter….if I did find it, it was extremely expensive and imported. Not very popular when it costs more than an arm and a leg and or your first born, just to eat some processed milk product…
But…
Russians have discovered cream cheese and my sweetie pie loves the stuff. Sometimes a meal is nothing but crackers and cream cheese in our house. Yummy is the word for cream cheese and now we have tons of the stuff in the stores…
Cream cheese translates to: сливочный сыр…
You have to watch for it made with palm oil, but most is the real stuff and it is oh so good…
Russians even steal variations of the famous names. Violia became violette….Violia is an Estonian company, but ours is better… 🙂
There are now dozens of Russian made cream cheese to pick from and as the one on the right shows, they even mix stuff in it. Oh my! Mushroom cream cheese is so good…
This is what I talk about, Russians have flourished with the sanctions put against her. Everything is being made and now being made in mass quantities…
Simply put: keep the sanctions going and I know that the farmers and producers are happy. But then so are the consumers. When we all have such quality things as cream cheese to eat and it is very cheap, we all are happy…
I know a little girl of mine that loves her Russian cream cheese and that is what counts…
Just passing on some real truths about Russia and not the propaganda that you get all the time from the MSM…
