Thinkings and Coffee on Windows to Russia on August 9th, 2012…

Coffee is really good and the cup I am drinking while writing this article is no exception. Today I decided to just write my ramblings in my brain, while enjoying that cup of coffee…

If you have been following Windows to Russia for awhile then you know that we use to have massive attacks from the Department of Homeland Security and I mean massive attacks. I fought for over a year against attacks that never ended or ceased. Then when I finally jumped through all the hoops and got Windows to Russia out of the country (USA), I finally removed their sting…

The company that hosts Windows to Russia now, has figured out how to counter the attacks and while it has put a hurt on my website counts, I have never been happier. My host went through several years of terrible attacks by the USA government and they learned the hard way, just as I did…

http://1984hosting.com/about/

1984Hosting is the company and if the name looks familiar then you have read Orwell’s book 1984… 🙂

The companies motto is “Big Brother is Watching You!”, I am very glad I found them…

So while I am on the topic of Windows to Russia, I will tell you what is going on…

I have finally exceeded the count meter that I have kept for almost 5 years now. It has rolled over and exceeded the limits of its capacity and like a odometer on a car, it has started over. So instead of worrying about it anymore, I will just remove the server script and not care. Simplicity is the best anyway…

It was an old script and I needed to install an updated version anyway…

I have updated my IP tracking scripts and they are worth their weight in gold. I use Project Honey Pot for spam and it is the cats meow…

Officially we are over 3500 posts on Windows to Russia, unofficially I have exceeded 4000 posts, if I count all that have been lost due to DHS attacks and such…

I still remember like it was yesterday, when I was so happy for the first 100 posts…

If you have followed for awhile then you also remember when Windows to Russia was on Blogger Blog Spot and as I found out much later that Blogger was forced to remove Windows to Russia. We lost hundreds of posts back in that first censoring by America…

From that moment I spent almost 4 years trying to get a semblance of stability to Windows to Russia and went from one thing to another. From cease and desist orders to web attacks…

But during that whole time I have kept going and never stopped. Just as right now I am posting one more article and irritating one more person in Washington DC, but I also reach one more person who is just trying to figure out, what is happening in the world and that seems to be what is a driving factor to be upset about Windows to Russia…

No one tries to squelch the lies, it is the truth that gets squelched…

Sometimes I may just seem to be worried about very stupid things, but they really are not stupid and they are not just worries. They are observations about the world and life. My world and life…

I know that I scare people in America, I express a dissatisfaction for my and your government and by being scared, you have just played the fiddle according to their rules…

I was walking today and doing some thinking…

I was thinking about the show from the old days called, Mayberry R.F.D…

That is what I grew up with and that is what life should still be. Remember when the Barney Fife’s were the exception and not the norm? Remember when…

I guess that is why I love Russia! The Barney Fife’s are still not the norm and I can still live life like I did many years ago…

To someone who has had six heart attacks, that is very important…

Games and More Games: Update…

Read this link from much earlier today…

http://windowstorussia.com/games-and-more-games-against-russia.html

Now here is the truth…

Speaking to reporters in Moscow on Wednesday, retired Russian general Vladimir Kuzheyev denied information about his being killed by militants in Syria.

‘I’d like to confirm that I’m safe and sound and now live in Moscow. As a retired general, I know full well that the information about my death is little more than a provocation against me and my country,’ Kuzheyev said.

Lies and Games! Just like what was done in Libya and a thousand other times all over the world…

How about a piece of real information…

In his State of the Union message on Jan. 23, Carter announced the boycott: “I have notified the Olympic Committee that with Soviet invading forces in Afghanistan, neither the American people nor I will support sending an Olympic team to Moscow.” The next day, the U.S. House of Representatives voted 386-12 to support Carter’s call. Among those opposed to the boycott were Phil Gramm of Texas and John Conyers Jr. of Michigan.

Okay so what is America doing in Afghanistan right now and for the last many years?

Just some real information to give you something to think about, instead of the lies we spread in Syria…

LOL! What Choice We Have For President in America…

While I did not see much choice for the Russian presidency and Putin winning was a foregone conclusion. I have to say that Russian people are what they are and being happy with a long term person in charge of the country is prominent in Russia…

So in effect I am happy for the Russians and they got who they really want…

But America is another concern for me and since I am an American, I have issues with the way the elections are being run in America…

I have watched the republican nomination procedure very closely this time and cheating is the word of the day, week, month and year, as per concern about the shenanigans going on with the republicans…

The republicans have shown that they do not care what they have to do, but whoever is wanted will be there, even if we have to bribe, corrupt, cheat, lie, steal and be unmoral, to accomplish what we want…

Now we will not talk about the democratic side of thing, because that has been proven to be a waste of breath any time and now, without a doubt, the republicans and democrats have become one and the same, at the same level of life and we now have two main parties (The only parties allowed, really!) that have nothing in common with anyone but themselves…

So what am I talking about?

I guess what I am really talking about is that Americans need to get rid of the political system that is in place in the US and do something different. I do not care what we do and put a king in for all I care, but change what we have…

I don’t care! Remove the Congress, remove the Senate and please get rid of the president! Then start over from scratch…

Can it be done?

Yes it could it is done all the time around the world and sometimes it makes a big difference…

I like what I see in Russia to be honest…

The president is the foreign affairs guy and the prime minister is the Russian government. You have two branches of power with almost equal strength. It helps to balance things…

In America you have a president and vice president and the vice president is there as well, who knows why he is there? (Other than to take over president if president becomes incapacitated.) If you think you know, you are wrong! He does nothing and has no power what so ever, unless he is allowed power by the president…

In Russia, the prime minister calls the shots in the government and you know what he is up to all the time. Decisions are made daily by the prime minister and the government is at his beck and call…

The president is 90% of the time dealing with other countries and such. The Russian president and Russian prime minister is in daily contact and meetings. They run the country together and work together. Each man has his section of Russian to deal with…

The president has final say on some issues, but as I am seeing it! The prime minister runs the Russian government, while the president runs the whole country…

Either way you look at it, it is a tandem of ruling power that runs Russia…

At least that is better than the dictatorship that runs America. The American president has reached a point that he has no balance against what he does. He freely does what he wants a will and no one can bother him. He is not responsible for any actions he takes, even actions he takes against his own people. No one is there to sit him down and put a leash on him…

Russia has that leash and I see it, but America has gotten rid of that leash and we are paying for it. Bush Jr. pushed the known limits and now Obama has exceeded what Bush even thought of…

Okay enough of the rambling and lets get to my title…

Choice for American President…

What choice? There is none at all. In fact I see no difference in the two men and I see no difference in the two parties…

It came to me after reading comments from America that Americans are so absorbed in the thought of, “Come November, we will change America for the better!” That they really think that they can vote a better America…

Okay! Then what are you going to do? You need to find a person to vote for that is not a member of the political establishment. No matter which loser you vote for in November and that includes Ron Paul, they are all politicians and hence, will always be politicians and hence, nothing will change in the short or long run…

Seriously, who will you vote for if you really want change? Who? Romney or Obama?

I said the same thing when it was McCain or Obama! Who do you vote for?

I remember when I said there is no difference between Obama and McCain! (I got lambasted by people!) I have been proven correct, Obama’s track record proves it. Obama is just not as extrovert as McCain and does not talk out of both orifices at the same time as McCain does…

So to all those millions and millions and millions of people who say, “In November we will save America!

I am glad you want to save America, but I guess I have missed something that you all seem to know and I don’t…

Who are you going to vote for, Obama or Romney?

I do not like either one and that has held true the last elections we had in 2008 and the last election before that! I do not believe that we can not have a better choice than these two…

Any candidate over the years who has had a lick of financial sense has been pushed aside and buried. Ron Paul is the only one I would have voted for, but even he is a politician and I do not trust politicians at all. Ross Parole years ago had it hit on the nail head and he was never given a chance by America. He knew how to stop all this downward slide and we ignored him. He got smart and walked away from the mess and threw his hands in the air. He was not a politician and he put the straight facts in front of your face. We chose to ignore what he said…

I am not sure the way to go about getting changes done, but I do know that we need to make big changes and soon. We are on a slippery slope to the bottom and the longer we allow these out of touch/self-centered politicians to run things the faster and steeper that slope gets…

Change was so important that Obama won on the phrase, “Hope and Change!”

But we need real hope and change, not just words and not another politician that is being bottle fed by corporations and banks. Not another hand picked politician that has only his wants and the wants of his bankroll at heart…

A thought came to me!! We demand separation of church and the state! I think that we should also demand the separation of corporations and state…

God had much more rights to be involved than Corporate Greed does in the running of our country…

Kyle Keeton
Windows to Russia…

PS: I had an interesting thought! People also like to say that the president is just a puppet! That he does not really call the shots and that others really run the country! Then why the hell are we even voting for a person who really does not run the country. I think saving the billions to elect a president is more important and feed the poor…

My Small Interview With “The Voice of Russia…”

American Dream fading quickly: ‘brain drain’ in reverse! by Jared DeLuna

As America faces more economic hardships many business people are looking for new ventures aboard. They are searching for the American Dream, Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, the very ideals that brought millions to America in the first place.

Many developing countries have been giving America their best citizens for years, now it looks like this may be on the reversal.

Krik Semple, writer for The New York Times, wrote “For generations, the world’s less-developed countries have suffered the so-called ‘brain drain’ – the flight of many of their best and brightest to the West. That has not stopped, but now a reverse flow has begun, particularly countries like China and India and, to a lesser extent, Brazil and Russia.”

A new statistic published by the US State Department has stated that around 6.4 million Americans are either working or studying overseas.

“Enterprising Americans have always sought opportunities abroad. But this new wave underscores the evolving nature of global migration, and the challenges to American economic supremacy and competitiveness.” Krik Semple added.

The reason why so many Americans are leaving might be because of the dismal job market and gaining new prospects from aboard.

However, one has to think can Americans actually find the American Dream in a place like Russia? Kyle Keeton, creator of windowstorussia.com, an online blog about life for an American in Russia, believes that they can’t.

“Russia is not America. An American has been conditioned to think that the American Dream is very important. The American Dream is to keep up with the neighbors and have lots of material items. The American Dream is a life of luxury.” Kyle Keeton told The Voice of Russia.

Russia may actually be able to offer American business people many luxuries. According to aneki.com, an online ranking and records site, Russia has the third most amount of billionaires. America may host the most but the grip is slipping to China and Russia.

Also according to Forbes Magazine, New York City has slipped to second place as the home for the most billionaires, falling to Moscow, Russia.

Many Americans may be leaving America not just because of the dismal job market, but also taxes and political reasons. Recently the Facebook co-founder has been in the news because the government believes he tried to avoid some taxes.

Eduardo Saverin moved to Singapore in 2009 which is long before Facebook went public earlier this year. He has since the opening, renounced his US citizenship, he claims he did this not to avoid paying takes, but rather because he has interests in the Singapore market. “My relocation is based solely on my interest in working and living in Singapore, where I have been living since 2009.”

While many may leave because they are in search for more money, Kyle Keeyton believes they leave for another reason. “They leave not because of political issues. They leave because they see quality of life that they have lost in America. They see that quality and quantity of life in other parts of the world.” He added.

As life throughout the world becomes more and more mixed together, people from around the world will be looking for new business ventures. It is now up to the governments to try and keep their people employed and let them build their future in their home countries.

Games and More Games Against Russia…

A spokesman for the opposition Free Syrian Army had said earlier on Al Arabiya television that Russian Gen. Vladimir Kodzhiyev serving as an advisor to the Syrian defense minister had been killed.

A video statement from a Syrian rebel group calling itself the “Hawks Special Operations Battalion…a division of the Military Leadership of Damascus City and Province”, gave the name of the general as Vladimir Petrovich Kodzhiyev. The video, sent to Reuters, showed what the rebels said was a copy of his ID, as issued by the Syrian military.

Never happened and my understanding is that he was a past advisor in Syria and is retired…

Kvas is so good here in Ukraine…

Kvas that miracle drink in this part of the world. I like to compare how they sell it all over the place, to a lemonade stand…

This is a little stand near the Russian consulate that I go too. This is the Metro area and as you walk out of the underground area, you will be assaulted with anything and everything in the way of food products. These products are fresh made and not factory produced. People buy, buy and buy from these little lemonade stands…

Yes I am people, I buy, buy and buy also… 🙂

You want sauerkraut? Buy it at the Metro station. You want Kvas? Yup, buy it at the Metro station. You want bread? You want socks? You want tomatoes? Yup, just buy it at the Metro station. It is a one stop shop before you get home. Wife calls and says bring dinner home! Yup, someone sells fresh rotisserie chicken, somewhere nearby or pizza is always available near a Metro also…

This is just some of what I see as I walk around Kiev. Kiev is an open and free city that allows you to be you! You do not have to walk around and worry about the cops. They usually are too busy ignoring you and hoping that you go away…

The worst thing in the world to them is if you need help! I know I have been there and done that. Remember the stole passport of mine? I know all about the police here in Kiev…

http://windowstorussia.com/pickpocket-we-all-think-that-it-will_28.html

So as I traipse around Kiev and enjoy the freedom. It is damn hot here also. So I am so glad that I have air conditioning in my room…

The heat kinda curtails my freedoms a little bit, but that is okay…

The Kvas is really good on a hot day…

Why Do I Not Write About the Olympics?

Six years ago I would have written something about the Olympics. But after seeing the truth about them and the money spent and the political games played with them. I really no longer care if there is an Olympics or not. That is my thinking’s over a cup of wonderful coffee, this morning…

I am writing this article because people are bothering me about why I am silent about the Olympics? I get all the regular bull about how Russia sucks and stuff like that and I get the bull about how I am embarrassed by Russia…

No not really, because it seems to me that while Russia seems to have a lack of final drive for the gold, they are really gathering lots of silver and bronze. So I think they are doing fine and am proud of them. I just think that the Olympics has become a farce…

My awakening toward the Olympics began in 1996 during the Olympics at Atlanta, Georgia…

I was responsible to feed a huge portion of Olympic personnel and athletes. Now I was not the only one who did this, but I remember we exceeded a quarter million meals, that encompassed meals on site, meals delivered and carry out meals…

I remember that I had clearance to get behind the scenes and I got to watch the political issues happening first hand. I remember how they destroyed the poor areas of Atlanta in the name of the Olympics. In fact I had several workers that talked to me about what happened to them as the Olympics was redesigning the Atlanta area…

It was an eye opener for me and would have been more of an eye opener, except I worked twenty hours a day for months trying to get ready and to feed unbelievable meals to a country size crowd of people…

It set the seeds in place though for my future thinking’s on the Olympics…

That set my sights on the money spent on the Olympics and by the time I have watched the money being spent on the Sochi Olympics for 2014 and see what shape Russia is in, then I look at the money being wasted on what amounts to literally nothing of importance. I realized after this farce we call the London 2012 Olympics, that governments should not even be allowed to be part of the Olympics…

The Olympics should be nothing but a amateur sports event and private money backs the Olympics. There should have been one huge island somewhere made into a permanent Olympic island and that is where the Summer Olympics is held every time. The same goes for Winter Olympics also…

It should be a private enterprise and driven by private money. If there is no interest then there will be no Olympics. No athlete gets paid, because everyone does it for the love of the sport. The only money paid to them is money to get to the Olympics and money for food and basic necessities…

But then I believe that all sports should be amateur and only amateur. I have believed that since I was younger and I watched baseball teams go on strike. I realized then that money was the only factor and they could careless about the fans…

No hero’s in sports…

No I do not have the answers at all about the Olympics, but I do know when I see a wrong and it is wrong when millions and millions starve everyday and we prefer to spend billions on Olympics and trillions on wars…

Oh don’t say that wars and Olympics are not the same…

When we have to roof mount missile defense systems because we are worried that someone will attack the games, then we have reached a point that war and the Olympics has become one and together…

When Georgia waits until the 2008 Olympics in China to attack South Ossetia, then war and Olympics is the same…

It will only get worse from here on out. Do expect major issues in the 2014 Olympics. The West is still pissed off by Putin getting that sewed up and it would have been better for Russia to have never tried to get the Winter Olympics in 2014…

So that is why I do not write about the Olympics, or any sports hardly for that matter. Sports are too politicized and monetized for my interests…

Kyle Keeton
Windows to Russia…

I smiled at the world and said to myself, “That is why I love Ukraine!”

This morning I got up early and hit the bus stop as 30 of us tried to squeeze onto a small bus. I was the last one into the sardine can and 20 minutes later, after 10 more stops and a dozen more people squeezed into a seriously over crowded small bus, we made it to the metro…

I grabbed a sausage McMuffin with egg and cheese and a coffee and fought my way into the metro station. It took 15 minutes to get to the doors of the metro station and the McMuffin was gone before that point. I tossed the wrapper into a burning trash can by the door of the Metro (A normal cigarette fire!). Then waddled my way with hundreds of others to the station insides. I sat on a bench and studied the trains coming and going. I finished my coffee as I figured out which is the best car to try to squeeze onto. For really a sardine can has more room than a train car on this metro station…

I finally attacked the first car and squeezed into a spot near the door. It worked and in seven stops I was at the train station…

Then comes the escalator from hell! There is three escalators in the tunnel leading to the surface. One was bringing people down to the train and two taking people out to the surface. We had a line almost to the back of the station platform and that was with two escalators going…

Then the escalator lady from hell decided to close off one escalator leading to the surface and we all squeezed into one escalator to the surface at that point. I guess that we were getting somewhere to fast and the escalator lady from hell decided to slow us down… 🙂

She got back into her little cubical with her ear phones and TV set. She put on the ear phones and ignored our waves of happiness in her direction. I assume that her cubical is bullet proof and bomb proof, how else could she survive doing something as stupid as turning off a whole escalator in the middle of rush hour traffic…

I finally made it to the top of the escalator and we people who just wanted to get outside, found twenty people trying to hand out opposition propaganda and then as a last blockade, 6 sleeping bums laying the doorway and we all had to step over them! Kinda like a speed bump for a car. Once we broke into the fresh air, we found hundreds of guys sitting all over the steps of the Metro and they were busy drinking beer and coffee. They were also to busy to move and got grouchy, because we wanted through…

So I made sure that I caused a few spillages of drinks amongst the crowd of idiots on the steps. I took it as a job well done when I got coffee and beer on by shoes… 🙂

Now the train station was in sight and a ticket soon to be in my hand. I got into the International ticket line and after 20 minutes of watching the ensuing arguments about tickets take place. It was my turn to battle the ticket lady. This is where I play the dumb American to the hilt…

I am so dumb I do not even know the world for NO! I want cheap and more cheap. I want to get to Moscow and I want lower bench. Now I know my seats and in a train, the odd numbers are lower seats and the even numbers are upper berths. I do not want an upper…

So when the ticket lady expressed that nothing was available and that I was out of luck. I stood there and looked stupid. Now that is not a hard thing to do for I am American you know…

Then she tries to sell me on the expensive tickets! You know first class and second class tickets. With the price of these tickets, I could fly a jet back to Moscow…

Oops, Once again I am too stupid and do not understand anything but cheap cheap cheap…

Finally she finds a cheap ticket! Seat 33 on a slow train to Moscow. About 15 hours, but cheap…

I grab it and see that it is the last low seat available to leave on the 13th and not pay an arm and a leg, plus your first born. A week away and the seats are sold out…

I smiled and got my ticket and felt like I had just defeated the most powerful foe on earth. I won the battle and was ecstatic to call Sveta and tell her I was successful and will leave on the 13th…

Then as I left the train station! I was hit with the reality that I had to reverse all that I said above about the Metro. For it had gotten much busier and now I had to go back to my room…

I smiled at the world and said to myself, “That is why I love Ukraine!”

Vending Milk Dispenser in Moscow, Russia…

As Sveta and I went to the train station the other day as I left Russia, I spotted something new and unique as we entered the first train station near our home…

I asked Sveta to take some pictures as I would not be back for awhile. This is some of what she sent me…

It is a milk machine! I have never seen a machine like this before. I have discovered that they are becoming normal in Russia. I am curious about the milk that they serve…

I see it is 50 rubles per liter and 5 rubles for a container to put it in. That seems to be way high in price to me. I buy milk all the time for 25 to 30 rubles per liter…

This price is in line with the fresh raw milk that I get in Russia. Raw milk runs 50 rubles per liter many times. If this is raw milk then it might be worth it…

Sveta and I will try it out when I get back and I will let everyone know what I think…

Here is the main website for the milk…

http://a-moloko.ru/

This is the page of their automated machines…

http://a-moloko.ru/machines/

Now how cool is that? Get your milk on the street corner! I see gold vending machines, soda vending machines, candy vending machines and the other day I saw a jewelry vending machine, but never something as perishable as milk. Now we have milk vending machines…

Looks like one day we will vend everything from a machine…

Train Ticket back Home to Russia and that cup of coffee…

Tomorrow I will spend the day trying to get a train ticket back home to Russia. It is not an easy task in Kiev and they will try to rip me off as they always try to do. There never seems to be enough seats to go from Kiev to Moscow. There is always a ton of seats from Moscow to Kiev, but never vice versa…

That is my thinking’s, as I sip a great cup of coffee, this morning…

It is never easy and always an adventure. They always try to give the most expensive tickets to people first and you have to dig to get the cheapest tickets that you can. You also have to watch out that they will try to put you in a top bunk, even when there is tons of lower bunks. I only travel bottom bunk and I have had to argue many times over the seat I want…

I will leave early tomorrow and hopefully all will go well and smooth…

In Moscow it is easy to get a ticket and it is all done by Internet. No hassles and no arguing. Here in Kiev I only seem to find outsourced ticket sales and they want a fortune for first class. I want cheap cheap cheap and no class… 🙂

I take my own food and water. I want the normal life people, not the rich life train riders…

Sveta says that she is being shown almost full trains come back to Moscow on the 13th. I will then try the 14th if the 13th is full. That will be the fun of the struggle to get tickets. I know that they have tickets available. There is always several empty seats on every train that I have ridden and I have ridden many trains in Russia and Ukraine…

Speaking of trains: The news was announced yesturday that the Russian Rail Service is trying to get all long distances trains to be available with WiFi…

Now that is just plain cool. Life just gets better and better as I travel Russia…

🙂

PS: MOSCOW, August 4 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian Railways Company plans to start offering Wi-Fi Internet on long-distance trains shortly. The company’s Vice President Mikhail Akulov said “this task has been set to the Federal Passenger Company (a subsidiary of Russian Railways) and we will solve it.” “We are using solutions that will allow us to offer this service on a broader scale on long-distance trains,” he said. Wi-Fi Internet is now available on some deluxe commuter trains, Sapsan high-speed trains, and on Express and Krasnaya Strela express trains that run between Moscow and St. Petersburg.
