MILITARY OPERATION IN UKRAINE – 22 FEB, 11:50
MOSCOW, February 22. /TASS/. Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev believes that it might be required to get to Kiev for reaching the targets of the special military operation. He also warned in response to a question from TASS during a media session with Russian reporters about the geographic borders of the special military operation that the conflict might not be limited to the current stage.
“Where to stop? I don’t know. I think that considering what I have said [about the necessity to create a safety cordon] we will have to work much and hard. Will it be Kiev? Yes, it should probably be Kiev as well. If not now then some time later, probably during some other stage of this conflict’s development,” Medvedev said.
The politician presented two arguments for the necessity to get to Kiev, saying that, first, this is a Russian city and, second, the international threat to Russia’s existence comes from there. “Though Kiev is a Russian city in its roots, it is managed by an international team of Russia’s opponents headed by the United States of America. All that formally perform functions there are figure-heads with neither conscience, nor fear for the future of their country, nor possibilities. All decisions are taken across the pond and in the NATO headquarters. This is absolutely obvious. This is why yes, it may be Kiev as well,” he stressed.
Asked whether Ukraine should remain an independent state following the special military operation in general, Medvedev noted that “if as a result of all that is going on something remains of Ukraine such a state probably has chances to remain, though not very high.” “In any case this is not a question of today, of course, but it will be on the agenda some time later,” he said. “I don’t know what will remain in this territorial entity, I cannot call it a country now, maybe the Lemberg region, with a center in the city of Lemberg if the Polish or some other regions undertake for it. But this is a complicated process, not only military, but also political. And not only military forces, not only the military, but people inhabiting those lands as well should play or say their word in this process,” he concluded.

Конец февраля – период знаковых событий, о которых хотелось бы поговорить предельно откровенно. 22 февраля – ровно десять лет с момента, разделившего ход истории Европы и Евро-Атлантики на «до» и «после».
В 2014 г. прозападные ультранационалистические силы захватили власть на Украине. Результатом организованной США и их сателлитами площадной цветной революции киевского «майдана» стала гибель сотен человек. Одурманенные неолиберальной пропагандой люди думали, что боролись за некие европейские ценности. Вместо них получили неонацистский режим с т.н. «антитеррористической операцией» против русского Донбасса.
Западная часть мира много лет делала вид, что не замечала творившееся беззаконие. Смерть десятков тысяч мирных жителей Луганской и Донецкой Народных Республик игнорировалась. Оправдание молчания поистине изуверское: раз часть несогласных с нелегитимным переворотом патриотов взяла власть в свои руки и якобы имела поддержку Москвы, то убивать их, по сути, угодное дело.
Россия не могла терпеть целенаправленное истребление русского народа. Именно поэтому два года назад, 24 февраля 2022 г., с помощью специальной военной операции приняла решение раз и навсегда положить конец учиненному геноциду. Президент России в недавних интервью подробнейшим образом обрисовал историческую ретроспективу украинского кризиса.
Со своей стороны, как Посол в Канаде (которую теперь уже называют «большой Украиной» – в отличие от «малой» на наших рубежах), хотел бы поговорить на канадском поле и через российско-канадскую оптику о текущем положении вещей и, возможно, немного заглянуть за горизонт.
Для начала иностранной аудитории важно уяснить базовые вещи – цели СВО в полной мере сохраняют свою актуальность. Итогом, среди прочего, станут денацификация (фашистскому киевскому режиму нет места в современном мире), демилитаризация и право людей самим определять свою судьбу.
В Канаде, да и на Западе в целом, мало кто имеет объективное представление о происходящем в новых регионах, вернувшихся домой в Россию. Они развиваются семимильными шагами! Такой положительной энергии «в украинские времена» (с 1992 г.) никогда не было – об этом говорят сами жители. Эти русские земли просыпаются после 30-летнего подкиевского летаргического сна. Люди, сбросив жовто-блакитные оковы, дышат глубоко и свободно. Живут в демократии и равноправии, рожают детей, строят дома, возделывают землю. И – говорят на любых языках личного предпочтения и культурного воспитания, исповедуют любые религии. Все это не просто доступно, а защищено законом.
Ну, а что было в украинском прошлом? Было время после т.н. встречи в Беловежской пуще, когда в границах, определенных когда-то большевиками, из Украинской ССР появилась «независимая Украина» с оставленным ей богатым наследием. Наследием, которое очень быстро было раскрадено. Данное образование превратилось в несостоятельное марионеточное государство. Лидеры самостийности пестовали или ложились под оголтелый национализм, рожденный имперской Веной в начале XX века и взращенный нацистской Германией во время Второй Мировой войны. Деятели на Банковой открыто занимались стяжательством, обслуживали интересы олигархических кланов. О благосостоянии народа никто из них и не думал. А русских Юга-Востока и Центра Украины открыто называли людьми второго сорта. И под это Запад – НАТО, ЕС и их марионетки – молчал, аплодировал или давал деньги.
В 2014 г. Киев на короткий поводок подцепил Вашингтон. После неудачных попыток посредством «оранжевых революций» сделать из Украины хоть что-нибудь (читай по англосаксонской методичке – «витрину демократии»), США пошли по пути грубого пестования русофобии. Чтобы создать орудие воздействия на Россию. Спровоцировать конфликт как средство обновленного подчинения Вашингтоном Европы и коллективного Запада. В условиях объективного заката американоцентричного империализма.
Украинская власть, докатившись до убийств собственных граждан на Донбассе, сожжения их живьем в Одессе, преследовала многонациональный народ Украины по этническому и языковому признаку. С остервенением уничтожала культурную самобытность населяющих страну русских людей. И это задолго до СВО-2022.
Сейчас уже всем очевидно: события 2014 г. и далее готовились американцами заблаговременно. США целились превратить Украину в Анти-Россию, очаг вражды и нестабильности у российских границ. Их союзники по НАТО, в том числе в Париже и Берлине, по прямому приказу Вашингтона занимались шулерством. Заявляя на словах о приверженности известным «Минским договоренностям» (реализация которых могла положительно откорректировать ход украинской истории), прикрывали перевооружение боевиков киевского режима. С одной единственной целью: осуществить в конце февраля 2022 г. неонацистский блицкриг против Донбасса. Россия дала упреждающий отпор агрессии. Это было вынужденное, своевременное и единственно правильное решение. Решение суверенной, сильной, самостоятельной страны. В полном соответствии с Уставом Организации Объединенных Наций.
Война, развязанная в феврале 2014 г. Киевом внутри Украины и против народа Украины, ведущаяся до сих пор, очень выгодна США. В этом открыто сознался генеральный секретарь НАТО Йенс Столтенберг в ходе выступления 31 января 2024 г. в вашингтонском «Heritage Foundation». В своей речи норвежец приветствовал увеличение расходов на оборону со стороны союзников, закупку американского оружия на 120 млрд долл. США. С его слов, «это делает американский бизнес сильнее». То есть, генсек подтверждает, что на крови украинского народа американский ВПК зарабатывает сотни миллиардов долларов.
«А где в этом уравнении Зеленский?», – спросит читатель. На американской шахматной доске нынешний предводитель режима – в роли пешки. Ничего из себя не представляет и ничего не решает. Единственное, на чем сосредоточен, – как бросить в мясорубку побольше украинских призывников и оценить стоимость побрякушек, которые его семья и заворовавшиеся на откатах бандиты в правительстве, их жены и дети скупают во время попрошайнических турне по западным столицам.
Что нас ждет впереди? Повторю: нынешний людоедско-террористический режим в Киеве не имеет перспектив. Это уже понимают все граждане Украины, даже те, кто еще зомбирован пропагандой.
Зачинщиков геноцида русских и русскоязычных жителей мы знаем поименно. Все совершенные неонацистами за десять лет деяния, военные преступления и преступления против человечности зафиксированы и запротоколированы. Преступники ответят за каждую смерть – русского солдата, мирного жителя, женщины, невинного ребенка. Поплатятся за убийство философа и общественного деятеля Даши Дугиной, журналиста Максима Фомина (Владлена Татарского), героев-подвижников Донбасса – Александра Захарченко, Арсена Павлова (Моторола), Владимира Жоги (Воха), Михаила Толстых (Гиви) – всех! Ответственности не избегут даже те, кто сейчас затаился в страхе в западных юрисдикциях. Зеленского, Порошенко, Турчинова, их подельников-палачей ждет трибунал.
И Запад ошибается, если думает, что ему удастся, развязав гибридную войну с Россией, выйти сухим из воды. Вашингтону и НАТО не сойдут c рук годы спонсирования киевской машины для убийств. Они ответят за всё. И спрос определят люди, чьи земли выжигала «опосредованная война» Запада. Определит жизнь. Определит история.
И еще. В этом контексте важен наш обновленный взгляд на самих себя. СВО не просто вскрыла опухоль западной агрессии, нарывавшую на Украине, – она полностью развеяла в российском обществе мифы о возможном равноценном взаимодействии с этим самым Западом. Самообман выветрился. На его смену вернулось – именно всенародно – мудрое понимание, что Россия – отдельная самодостаточная страна-цивилизация. Ее духовные, экономические, культурные скрепы невероятно прочны. Внешний недруг разбился о русский утес, об утес твердости нашего духа.
Россия с ее тысячелетней историей всегда будет стоять на страже своих рубежей, идеалов справедливости и правды.

The end of February is the period of iconic events that I would like to talk very frankly about. February 22-exactly ten years from the moment that divided the course of the history of Europe and the Euro Atlantic into “before” and “after”.
In 2014, pro -Western ultranationalist forces seized power in Ukraine. The result of organized USA and its satellites of the field color revolution of the Kyiv Maidan was the death of hundreds of people. People stupefied by neoliberal propaganda, people thought that they had fought for some European values. Instead, they received a neo -Nazi regime with the so -called “Anti -terrorist operation” against the Russian Donbass.
For many years the western part of the world pretended not to notice the lawlessness. The death of tens of thousands of civilians of the Lugansk and Donetsk people’s republics was ignored. The justification of silence is truly savage: since part of the disagreements with the illegitimate coup of patriots took power into their own hands and supposedly had Moscow, then to kill them, in fact, pleasing.
Russia could not endure the focused extermination of the Russian people. That is why, two years ago, on February 24, 2022, with the help of a special military operation, she decided to once and forever put an end to the assembled genocide. The President of Russia in a recent interview in a detailed way outlined the historical retrospective of the Ukrainian crisis.
For its part, as an ambassador to Canada (which is now called “Big Ukraine” – unlike “small” on our borders), I would like to talk in the Canadian field and through the Russian -Canadian optics about the current state of affairs and, possibly, a little Look over the horizon.

There has never been such positive energy “in Ukrainian times” (since 1992) – the inhabitants themselves are talking about this. These Russian lands wake up after the 30-year-old Pokiyeva lethargic sleep. People, having dropped the yaw-claws, breathe deeply and freely. They live in democracy and equal rights, give birth to children, build houses, cultivate land. And – they say in any languages of personal preference and cultural education, profess any religions. All this is not just available, but protected by law.
Well, what happened in the Ukrainian past? There was time after the so -called Meetings in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, when, within the boundaries of the Bolsheviks once defined, “Independent Ukraine” appeared from the Ukrainian SSR with a rich heritage left by it. A heritage that was very quickly painted. This education has turned into an insolvent puppet state. The leaders of the Individuality were puzzled or laid down under the frantic nationalism, born of imperial vein at the beginning of the 20th century and nurtured Nazi Germany during the Second World War. Bankova figures openly engaged in money -grubbing, served the interests of oligarchic clans. None of them thought about the welfare of the people. And the Russian south-east and the Center of Ukraine openly called second-grade people. And for this West – NATO, the EU and their puppets – was silent, applauded or gave money.
In 2014, Kyiv picked up Washington for a short leash. After unsuccessful attempts, through the “Orange Revolutions”, to make at least something from Ukraine (read the Anglo-Saxon manual-the “showcase of democracy”), the United States followed the path of rude diving Russophobia. To create an impact on Russia. Provoke a conflict as a means of renewed subordination to Washington of Europe and the collective West. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.
In Kupyansk direction, units of the Zapad Group of Forces supported by aviation inflicted fire damage on manpower and hardware of AFU 10th mountain assault, 14th mechanised brigades close to Petropavlovka (Kharkov region).
In addition, three attacks of the AFU 57th Mechanised Infantry Brigade were repelled close to Sinkovka (Kharkov region).
The enemy lost up to 30 Ukrainian troops, two armoured personnel carriers, and three motor vehicles.
In the course of the counter-battery warfare, the Russian troops hit one U.S.-made M777 artillery system, one U.S.-made M198 howitzer, one Giatsint and one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery systems.
In Donetsk direction, units of the Yug Group of Force liberated Pobeda, improved the situation on the front line, and hit units of AFU 92nd assault, 79th air assault, 46th airmobile brigades close to Novomikhailovka and Krasnogorovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).
The enemy losses were more than 410 troops, one tank, three armoured fighting vehicles, five motor vehicles, Polish-made Krab and Bogdana self-propelled artillery systems, one D-20 howitzer, and one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system.
In Avdeyevka direction, units of the Tsentr Group of Forces took more advantageous lines and positions, and inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of AFU 53rd mechanised, 3rd assault, 107th, 116th territorial defence brigades near Orlovka and Tonenkoye (Donetsk People’s Republic).
Nine attacks and counter-attacks of the enemy units were repelled close to Novgorodskoye, Leninskoye, Berdichi, Lastochkino, and Pervomayskoye (Donetsk People’s Republic).
The AFU losses amounted to up to 145 Ukrainian troops, five infantry fighting vehicles, two U.S.-made M113 armoured personnel carriers, 26 motor vehicles, and one U.S.-made M777 artillery system.
?? In South Donetsk direction, units of the Vostok Group of Force inflicted losses on units of AFU 58th mechanised infantry, 128th territorial defence brigades near Novodonetskoye and Staromayorskoye (Donetsk People’s Republic).
The enemy losses amounted to up to 155 troops, one tank, two armoured personnel carriers, one combat vehicle of Strela-10 SAM system, three motor vehicles, one Msta-B howitzer, one M-46 gun, and one electronic warfare system.
In Kherson direction, the Dnepr Group of Forces’ units inflicted fire damage on manpower and hardware of AFU 28th mechanised, 35th marines, and 121st territorial defence brigades near Shcherbaki (Zaporozhye region), Ivanovka and Mikhailovka (Kherson region).
In addition, three enemy attacks were repelled close to Rabotino (Zaporozhye region).
Up to 50 Ukrainian personnel, two tanks, two armoured fighting vehicles, and seven motor vehicles were neutralised.
In the course of the counter-battery warfare, one U.S.-made M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery system, one Msta-B howitzer, and one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system were repelled.
Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation
Operational-Tactical aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, and Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces wiped out a self-propelled launcher and a transport and loader vehicle of the U.S-made Patriot SAM system, as well as engaged manpower and hardware in 114 areas during the day.
Air defence units shot down one S-200 anti-aircraft missile converted to hit ground targets, eight HIMARS MLRS projectiles, and one JDAM aerial guided bomb.
Ninety five Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed near Chervonopopovka, Golikovo (Lugansk People’s Republic), Staromlynovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Verbovoye, Novofyodorovka, Tokmak (Zaporozhye region), and Novaya Mayachka (Kherson region).
In total, 572 airplanes and 266 helicopters, 13,137 unmanned aerial vehicles, 473 air defence missile systems, 15,171 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 1,223 combat vehicles equipped with MRLS, 8,138 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 18,950 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

International Women’s Day (IWD), originally is called International Working Women’s Day and that is a very important holiday… Just like at Sveta’s work, the women bought pizza for all the guys… But soon the guys better give back. 🙂

So I see this holiday today as a reminder as not to forget a holiday that keeps all the women happy and I do mean that Russian women like and expect this particular holiday. It is very much like Mother’s Day in America…
Men in Russia know that when the women are being nice and lovey on the 23rd of February, that you better not forget or overlook the 8th of March. It is only about two weeks away…
It is a woman’s world in Russia, but once a year whether we deserve it our not, us guys get some loving too and that is another reason why I love Russia…
