A friend whom lives in United Kingdom sent this poem and a translation

Here is the English translation of the poem “Do Not Wake the Russian Bear!” by Konstantin Frolov-Krymsky:

Do Not Wake the Russian Bear!

Dear neighbours from across the seas,
Well-fed, swaggering like gods with ease,
Do not wake the Russian bear,
Let him sleep in peace down there.

Do not disturb his reign and rule,
His eating, drinking, while his heart beats full.
You cannot even start to guess
What this will bring—your own distress!

Time and again, you’ve kicked him sore,
Humiliated, dusted him with scorn,
Crucified him on a birch tree’s frame,
Burned with fire, drowned him in shame.

And when your victory seemed so near,
A trembling thrill of sweetest cheer,
The Russian bear’s deep growl would rise—
Right at your doorstep, to your surprise.

Why, brothers, can’t you stay at home?
What draws you here, sniffing, to roam,
To seize the generous Russian land
From clumsy paws with greedy hands?

For years, your cunning little thought
Fills newspapers, scheming and fraught:
“What right have they,” you slyly say,
“To one-sixth of the world today?”

We came here by God’s own will,
Our honour unstained, unbroken still.
It’s not for you to judge our fate!
Our wealth—we did not steal or take.

Our unshakable foundations stand—
Sails, sleds, and horseshoes in hand,
Berings, Khabarovs, Dezhnevs bold,
Yermaks, Poyarkovs, Zaikovs of old.

Ladies, lords, señors, and peers,
Crossing lines without due fears,
Do not taunt the Russian bear—
Your mischief will cost you dear.

You’ll trick him a hundred times with glee,
Strip him bare in a tavern’s spree,
For every kindness you give has a fee—
Your gods are gold, your idols greed.

Your creed: divide and then command,
Your truth is the strength of a ruthless hand.
You’re used to lording over the flock,
Burying the defiant in a stony block.

But a Russian sees a brother in all,
Rejects your stinginess, your lying call.
For him, the Truth is the highest aim,
Justice dearer than any claim.

So from the depths of any hell,
Where none but he could hope to dwell,
The Russian rises from ash and mire,
From swamp and sludge, from blood and fire.

He’ll shake off the haze of battle’s toll,
Wash his eyes in a spring so whole,
Pray before an icon’s glow—
Then come to your house, soft and slow.

Reeking of gunpowder and blood,
With weary eyes, he’ll stand and brood,
Pausing above your sleeping head,
Gazing with reproach unsaid.

And while your light still dimly burns,
Summing up the past, he’ll turn,
“Why did you come to my Russia, say?
Do I owe you something today?”

You’ll see your reckoning has come at last,
But find no coin to pay the past.
A Russian might forgive a kin,
But you’re no brother—just evil within.

Your soul, shrunk tight in flesh so weak,
Trembling under his stern gaze’s peak,
Will curse a thousand times, too late,
The foolish dream of “Drang nach Osten’s” fate.

You who crave new lands to claim,
For baseball, rugby, or golf’s tame game,
Read a tale or two, take care—
Of Napoleon, Adolf, their despair.

Temper the blare of your proud parade!
For folly’s price, you’ll soon be repaid.
Do not wake the Russian bear—
Perhaps then, you’ll be spared the scare.

Милые заморские соседи,
Сытые, вальяжные, как боги,
Не будите русского медведя.
Пусть он мирно спит в своей берлоге.

Не мешайте царствовать и править,
Есть и пить, покуда сердце бьётся.
Вы себе не можете представить,
Чем для вас всё это обернётся!

Вы уже не раз его пинали,
Унижали, посыпали пылью,
На берёзе русской распинали,
Жгли огнём и в омуте топили.

И когда уверенность в победе
Доводила вас до сладкой дрожи,
Рык утробный русского медведя
Раздавался вдруг у вас в прихожей.

Что ж вам, братцы, дома не сидится?
Так и тянет, прилетев на запах,
Щедрую российскую землицу
Взять и отобрать у косолапых!

Сколько лет мыслишкою лукавой
Ваши переполнены газеты,
Мол, “какое мы имеем право
На одну шестую часть планеты!?”

Мы сюда пришли по божьей воле,
Честь свою ничем не замарали.
И не вам судить о нашей доле!
Мы своё богатство не украли.

Наши нерушимые основы –
Паруса, полозья да подковы,
Беринги, Хабаровы, Дежнёвы,
Ермаки, Поярковы, Зайковы.

Дамы, господа, синьоры, леди,
За черту ступая ненароком,
Не дразните русского медведя:
Ваше баловство вам выйдет боком.

Вы его обманете стократно,
В кабаке обчистите до нитки,
Ведь у вас любая милость – платна,
Ваши боги – золотые слитки.

Ваше кредо – разделяй и властвуй,
Ваша правда – это правда Силы.
Вы привыкли восседать над паствой,
Неугодных одарив могилой.

А вот русский в каждом видит брата,
Не приемля скаредность и лживость.
Для него всего важнее – Правда,
А всего дороже – Справедливость.

Потому со дна любого пекла,
Где никто другой не сможет выжить,
Русский вдруг поднимется из пепла,
Из трясины и дорожной жижи.

Выветрит угар кровавой битвы,
В чистом роднике омоет очи,
Пред иконою прочтёт молитвы…
И придёт к вам в дом однажды ночью.

Весь пропахший порохом и кровью,
Поведя вокруг усталым взором,
Он замрёт у вас над изголовьем
И в глаза посмотрит вам с укором.

И пока вы свет не погасили,
Спросит он, былое подытожив:
-Ты зачем пришёл ко мне в Россию?
Или я тебе чего-то должен?

Вы поймёте, что пришла расплата.
Но платить, как оказалось, нечем.
Русский бы простил, наверно, брата.
Только ж вы не брат ему, а нечисть.

И душонку, сжавшуюся в плоти,
Теребя под хмурым взглядом гостя,
Вы тысячекратно проклянёте
Глупую идею «Дранг нах Остен».

Жаждущие новых территорий
Для бейсбола, регби или гольфа,
Почитайте парочку историй
Про Наполеона и Адольфа.

Поумерьте пыл парадной меди!
Отвечать за глупости  – придётся!
Не будите русского медведя.
Может быть, тогда и обойдётся.

I once said, “God help the USA and the West if you persist in tempting and manage to rouse the bear.”

This is what happens when you poke and agitate the bear. You will then understand the full extent of what a disciplined, well-trained, patriotic army can accomplish…

Very few in the West have been paying attention and those that have, tried to benefit monetarily by manipulation of facts. We are now looking at the West’s strategic defeat. A massive defeat by Western miscalculation…

There will most likely be a battle to the end as the West is pushed into the background due to global insignificance…

Naturally, they are attempting to use Ukraine as its sounding board. NATO and the EU are isolating themselves in a tiny corner while blaring their own propaganda from a boom boom box and acting as though everyone else is listening. The USA is now running away (after blaring that same propaganda) and trying to find those missing Emperors Clothes. Those clothes are in the Salvation Army and for sale…

The United States actually flees because it is scared of peer level adversaries and as a nasty bully, enjoys attacking weaker populations that lack the means to defend themselves, such as those in Libya, Syria, Yemen, Gaza, and other places…

Only about resources, as cheap resources that built “Western Society” are running out. -kKEETON…

In order to separate the frantic first new reporting from the likely baseline truth, I would and have learned to wait 48 to 72 hours before drawing any solid conclusions of activities being spouted upon by any Western Media. This is comparable to the advice of giving breathing room to any and all reports from Ukraine proper itself and the Western Media does not fact check as their rule of thumb, they take all Ukraine info from Ukraine as verbatim. As usual, I began by outlining mentally all potential outcomes and then providing an updated base which to start from, on the opinions of individuals involved and comparing old and or new assumptions.

Russian Defence Ministry reports on progress of special military operation as of 26 March 2025

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

In Belgorod direction, the Sever Group of Forces inflicted damage on manpower and hardware of three mechanised brigades, an assault brigade, an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and two territorial defence brigades close to Krasnopolye, Ugroyedy, Prokhody, Miropolskoye, and Petrushevka (Sumy region).

The enemy’s losses amounted to up to 55 troops, two armoured fighting vehicles, a motor vehicle, and an artillery gun.

The units of the Zapad Group of Forces improved the situation along the front line, hit units of three mechanised brigades, an assault brigade, and an airborne brigade of the AFU near Lozovaya, Petropavlovka (Kharkov region), Nadiya (Lugansk People’s Republic), Kirovsk, and Yampol (Donetsk People’s Republic) as well as Serebryansky forestry.

The AFU lost up to 250 troops, a U.S.-made HMMWV armoured vehicle, and two pickup trucks. Three artillery guns and three ammunition depots have been neutralised.

Units of the Yug Group of Forces took more advantageous lines and positions. Russian troops engaged eight mechanised brigades of the AFU, a territorial defence brigade, and two national guard brigades near Novoolenovka, Romanovka, Minkovka, Chasov Yar, Druzhba, Kalinovo, Zarya, Katerinovka, and Tarasovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 310 troops, two armoured fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, a U.S.-made 155-mm M777 howitzer, and two U.S.-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-fire radars. Two electronic warfare stations, an unmanned aerial vehicle depot, and a fuel depot were also destroyed.

Units of the Tsentr Group of Forces improved the tactical situation. The Russian Armed Forces inflicted losses on a mechanised brigade, a jaeger brigade, two assault brigades, an unmanned aerial vehicles brigade, an assault regiment, an assault battalion of the Vostok special operations centre, a marine brigade, and a national guard brigade near Mirolyubovka, Kotlino, Dimitrov, Zverevo, Krasnoarmeysk, Uspenovka, Udachnoye, Grodovka, Alekseyevka, Nadezhdinka, and Novoaleksandrovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).The AFU losses amounted to more than 480 troops, two tanks, two Kazak armoured fighting vehicles, five motor vehicles, two field artillery guns, and a signal intelligence station.

Units of the Vostok Group of Forces continued advancing into the depth of enemy defence. Russian forces engaged four mechanised brigades, an airmobile brigade of the AFU, a Marine brigade, and two territorial defence brigades near Shevchenko, Voskresenka, Fyodorovka, Novopol, Razliv, Zelenoye Pole of the Donetsk People’s Republic, and Gulyaipole The AFU losses amounted to up to 150 troops and three motor vehicles. Three field artillery pieces, including a Swedish-made 155-mm Archer self-propelled artillery system and a supply dump were eliminated.

The Dnepr Group of Forces engaged units of two mechanised brigades, a mountain assault brigade, three coastal defence brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and two territorial defence brigades close to Sadovoye, Pridneprovskoye, Antonovka, Vesyoloye (Kherson region), Malaya Tokmachka, Orekhov, and Kamenskoye (Zaporozhye region).

Over 65 troops, seven motor vehicles, a U.S.-made MLRS multiple rocket launcher, and two ammunition depots were neutralised.

Operational-Tactical Aviation, attack drones, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces have engaged the infrastructure of military airfields, a facility repairing military hardware, workshops, control posts of unmanned aerial vehicles, ammunition depots, and clusters of enemy manpower and hardware in 143 areas during the day.

Russian air defence systems shot down two JDAM guided bombs, a U.S.-made HIMARS MLRS projectile, and 58 fixed-wing aircraft.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation the enemy has lost 659 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 48,462 unmanned aerial vehicles, 601 anti-aircraft missile systems, 22,499 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,532 MLRS combat vehicles, 22,987 field artillery guns and mortars, 33,368 units of support military vehicles.

2. Вся ответственность за выполнение киевским режимом продиктованных ему соглашений ложится на Вашингтон. Нелепые ужимки Зеленского, догадавшегося обвинять Москву в манипуляциях, лишь доказывают очевидную истину: “Всё об Украине без Украины”.

Трампу сложнее. Ему теперь придётся давить на Киев, давить на Лондон, Париж и Брюссель, давить на собственный Deep State. Если что-то сорвётся — у Москвы тут же будут развязаны руки. Мяч — уже не на стороне США, а в воротах США.

The US, with its shuttle diplomacy, no matter how hard they tried, could not claim the role of mediator in resolving the conflict in Ukraine and are forced to negotiate with Russia directly – and clearly not only on the Ukrainian issue.
