So I did buy pussy willow plates and bowls…


I went to the store that I love and they had a dozen each of the plates I wanted. They must have sold around a thousand of each bowl and plate…. I bought two of each. These were the last orange ones. The rest were green…

I am going to buy some Pussy Willow Bowls and other thoughts

My favorite store has pussy willow imaged bowls and plates. They are of heat treated glass and I like them. Today I will attempt to get some. We need some good bowls for soup and they need to be break resistant…

Svetochka brought home a flier and it showed me these bowls and plates. I saw them yesterday and as always, I hesitated to get them and now when I go back; the thousands that were for sell, will be gone. That is the way it is. Good deals do not last long and I must become more Russian to catch these deals…

At 10 a.m. I will foray to the store and attempt to fight babushkas for the treasures… 🙂

The non cratered runway and the planes that were on the tarmac unharmed? Or maybe the non-detonated warheads that wound up in Syrian villages, even in the gardens? 6 to 8 old Soviet MIGs and a dozen casualties doesn’t really suggest there were 59 hits from 1000 lb warheads? Food has been dropping in price…

I just bought four milks at 26 rubles each. I would have bought more, but I was lazy and waited a day too long. I came home the first day and told Sveta, “Our favorite milk is only 26 rubles, tomorrow I will buy a bunch of them!”

Well I went back the next morning and out of two pallets full of milk, there were four left. Shame on me, so I bought those four and now the same milk is 41 rubles. This is how it goes and as a Russian will tell you, “Find a deal? Buy it and buy it all!”

Plenty of milk and plenty of cheap prices, just not as good a deal and I am at fault for not responding…. But I got four and with the one I bought the day before, that was five total…

Bread is running around 8 or 9 rubles for a loaf of black and the white is at 12 rubles. There is bread at all prices, but for the cheap side, that is what it costs…

Chicken is dirt cheap. I bought a bag of frozen chicken breasts at 79 rubles a kilo. I bought two kilos at that price…

Bag of chips (sour cream and onion) is only 12 rubles…

Ketchup in squeeze bag large size, 25 rubles… Good stuff by the way…

Pork chops are very cheap, 129 rubles a kilo and they really are an excellent product…

By the way! Prices are exactly the same in the Big Village I shop at when I am living in the Tiny Russian Village…

Fourth Time over the years, Facebook decided I was bad!


I did not get a copy of the original complaint. Me Stupid! But it was about how people complained that I talked about a very offensive subject and McCain was involved in that subject…

I posted about John McCain and asked why! I just asked why does he get to play with terrorists?

And no one cares or says, “John McCain is A@#$%&^! Do not hug and play with terrorists!”

So after asking why, Facebook banned me and I really am happy. Too much time spent there and I only had 19 friends, everyone else ran away…

Sorry people but I will have to find my real news somewhere else… 😉

And that my friends is why no one will see me on Facebook again…

Boza and I watched Balloons…


Boza and were walking and we saw a small tiny kid, girl to be exact, running with so many balloons, that I swear her feet were coming off the ground. She was running down the middle of our parking lot and I grabbed my phone to try to get a picture before she disappeared…

She had three other girls running after her…

Then before I could get my phone out to take a picture, she lost the balloons. She stood stunned for about two seconds, the other three girls stood stunned looking up, I was looking up, a whole playground full of moms and babies all looked up and even Boza seemed to be looking up!

The picture has about 50 balloons in it and that is at most half of the balloons the little girl had. I am telling you she was almost getting ready to take off…

Then the four girls total, just all broke out laughing and giggling, as they watched the balloons disappear. I then stopped gawking long enough to get a shot of the balloons before they got too far for my phone camera…

What amazed me is how young the girls were and the fact that they did not get upset and or cry over the balloons. They simply enjoyed watching the balloons disappear into the sky and with a strong wind we had, they dissipated very fast…

The images are only three shudder clicks apart and before I could get a better sighting on them, I could no longer see them in the sky…

I found the world became quiet and really interesting. Everyone including some cars stopped and watched these balloons. It seems to stop time for just a few seconds and everyone was mesmerized by the sight…

It is one of those life’s happenings and where the girls came from and where they went back to I will never know, but they had fun and that is what life is about…

I stopped taking pictures of the balloons and was going to take one of the girls and….. they were gone! Lock, stock and barrel! Giggles, smiles and laughter! All gone, just a handful of babushkas looking around like I was…

Good thing the girl did not fly off with the balloons!
