Sveta: My Country…

“I feel happy. I feel happy for my country for the first time since 1989. I feel kinda like revenge. After 23 years on the knee, my country is getting up and that’s great!” Sveta…

I asked Sveta to write down what she said to me at supper last night. The above quote is what she said. Read it again and come back, please. No read it and understand what she is saying to me and to you…

This is what America has stepped in and since they created the feelings that have been hidden in the first place, those feelings are naturally going to come to the surface when we (America) start the same underhanded techniques again. Russians watched carefully at what was happening in Ukraine and when the west played into the Nazi deck of cards and Germany dealt the hand. A transformation happened in Russia and feelings from so many years ago have leaped to the surface and exploded all over the horizon in Russia…

Putin and the Kremlin never could have asked for a better thing to happen and they most likely could never have charged the Russian people into this state, without the west falling “hook line and sinker” into a trap set in Ukraine. Then the west even expressed the finally act of stupidity and they looked like this, “Senator John McCain stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the leader of one of the rising Neo-Nazi parties in the country.

Yes he (McCain) did and that means, yes we (America) did also…

Sveta is a tried and true Soviet and she like a huge portion of the population in Russia have very strong hidden feelings about what happened years ago and the fact is that everyone is sick and tired of the US and EU trying to shove the western way of life up their ass. This Ukraine intervention has set off a chain reaction…

Crimea is now Russian and according to what I am hearing and seeing, Russians will and are wanting to change and take back what they lost, by the likes of crooked western paid politicians in the first place…

The more that the US and the EU push, the more resistance that Russia will mount in return and will build that wall of defense higher and higher against a financially devastated western world. The Russia people have reached that point of no return, something Americans have not had to deal with, for way to long and have forgotten what it is like to do without. Russians will thrive and survive without and since they do without many times now. They already have the west beat, hands down…

Sveta truly was beaming at the fact that the Krim or Crimea as some call it, was brought back into the Russians arms, for safe keeping. The Krim has a deep place in Russian history and I saw the love for the Krim many times as I listened to people talk about the past as Soviets there…

Why to my surprise and to many Russians surprise, Gorby weighed in to the situation:

Nobel Peace Prize winner Mikhail Gorbachev welcomed the outcome of the referendum in the Crimea. He considers that the conditions for joining the Crimea to Russia has been met. He said, “The majority of the population in the Crimea, hailed the end of the Ukrainian country.” and thus he also said, “The people (on the peninsula) want it, and that means that you have to meet up with them.” and this also, “The people have had the opportunity to say in a referendum their opinion, and that is a good thing!”

Bottom line of all this is simple…

The more the west pushes, lies, cheats, plays games and acts two faced and is immoral. The chances of Ukraine’s eastern and southern half becoming Russian, grow exponentially…

For when the devil is on your door step, it is time to bitch slap him, back across the pond…

Switch From The Dollar Time…

world1Since the people in America are too busy watching Hollywood and such. Then it is time for a rude awakening…

The best solution would be to cease and desist using the US dollar by the world, all trade to be conducted using only local currencies, gold, silver and or other barter trades. Do not buy from America to start with, extend that to Europe if needed. Use the Euro to change direction quickly and let the Euro “watch” the dollar die a horrid death. Tell the Euro you are next if you do not straighten up…

The EU Euro users will become a model citizen in two seconds flat…

The United States and the European Union have rejected the Crimea vote as “illegal” So what are they saying? That the people of Crimea has no say in their future and that they (west) will decide for them!

One thing we need to be aware of is that the United Terrorist States of America is not a democracy, it is a constitutional republic. Within the constitution there is no mention of democracy…

So what does one expect from a terrorist state such as the USA?

Call it: A Spade is a Spade…

quote-i-am-not-a-man-of-etiquette-i-don-t-know-manners-i-simply-call-a-spade-a-fucking-spade-because-oshoThe west crossed a red line, the same that they ran into with Syria. They crossed it back during the Libyan fiasco and lies. That red line is serious to a country like Russia and also China. Now the west being lead by America, beats the drums of war, walked straight into a trap. That is what happens when checker players try to play chess…

Now the west has crossed that line directly in the face of Russia and when Russia forgot to run away and cry, America/West, beat her chest, cried, whined, threatened, poked, stabbed, threw money around, laid on the floor and held its breath and did a dozen other childish things like the aforementioned…

I will say this after watching Putin today declare the Crimea as Russian: “Russia is not bluffing and if you want a war? They will give you that war! For the west has stepped into Russia’s backyard and Russians do not bluff, they play Russian Roulette and we all know about that!” Also, “The main thing to remember is that Russia will not start that war, but the fact is they will end that war! As they have done many times in their past!”

My country, that everyday I lose more and more respect for, has gone too far and gone against someone who does not look at life as a political playground. Russia is being lead by a man who makes decisions based on real facts and not how it will benefit his pocketbook. The situation that has to be realized is the Russian sober reality compared to illustrations of grander, as presented in the west…

Putin said it real clear today, when he said in his speech something like this, as best as I can translate it: “The west does not like it when Russia calls a Spade a Spade!” Or other words, “tell it like it is…”

I want the USA to stop the crap and go away. I mean that with all my heart, I want the USA to quit hurting the world and go away! I want the USA to grow up and become one with the world and support the world in growth and harmony…

That maybe asking too much, but I can dream…

I will keep telling it like it is, for we are in a “World Media War” and I have chosen a side to battle for…

Our First Picture of Putin…

The Krim (Crimea) and the western games…

krim+russiaThe hypocrisy of the west is out of control and it disgusts me as an American. I’m tired of my country crapping on international law when it suits their interests and then posing as the defender when it suits their interests…

Facts for the Krim vote:

  • 96% + voted for Crimea to join Russia
  • 02.5% + or – miniscule amounts voted for Crimea to remain a sovereign autonomous republic inside the Ukraine
  • less than 1% of the votes were declared invalid
  • 83% + or – miniscule amounts of the eligible voters participated in this referendum (thus + or – a miniscule amount at around 17%, did not vote)

The truth about the Krim’s future is in the numbers above…

We are being media manipulated. Just as always. For the nefarious purposes of unknown entities that have something to gain from all of this in Ukraine. We have a very serious problem, (we all have in the world,) and that is our news is propaganda, not news reporting. I scour the internet to try to get the various accounts of our current events. I probably am not as informed as I would like to be, but I know the MSM is a failing prospect when it comes to getting reliable information…

I see clearly that the US totally disregards the fact that the coup that drove Yanukovych to flee for his life was in violation of the Ukrainian constitution, while simultaneously decrying the Sunday election as being in violation of the constitution. Of the two, one being a violent coup and the other being an election in Crimea, however hastily conducted, the outcome of which probably did, in fact, represent the will of the majority of voters, which is more of a violation of the constitution and why should one be ignored and the other touted as a legitimate basis for imposing sanctions on Russia and rattling sabers in a most dangerous manner?

I believe that the US fomented the unrest in Ukraine (and in Venezuela and in Chile and in…) for its own geopolitical goals, primary of which is tightening the economic and military noose around Russia (which the US promised Gorbachev it would not do) by installing a government that will request membership in (or affiliation with) NATO and will accept installation of US missiles. I also regard this as criminally stupid behavior by the pitifully weak Obama which Putin must resist…

In the past the US threatened nuclear Armageddon over the completely legal Russian installation of missiles in Cuba, separated from the US by 90 miles of ocean. How does it expect Russia to react to the US fomenting a fascist, anti-Russian coup in a former part of the Soviet Union with a long border with Russia?

The propagandists are NOT all-powerful. Seeds of truth about the MSM’s propaganda role are falling on already fertile ground. There’s hope for our future and there is hope for truth…

The New Sochi…

image

Hey everyone,

We arrived safely and it was a mad house yesterday and I could not get to the computer until today (Friday.) The Olympics Complex is packed, the train station packed, the airport packed and we finally unpacked (after walking a few kilometers to save money on taxi fare) at the hotel…

image

This is our room (above) and we are in luxury at a cheap price, right next to the Olympic Park area…

We literally can throw a rock and hit everything, not that we would want to… 🙂

I am not sure how this post will work as I am doing everything from a tiny keyboard and a tablet. But we have good WIFI and the weather is great and the atmosphere is even better. The people are fantastic, just as I remember them from before…

I have several posts about when we came to Sochi years ago and I said then that I would be back to see what has changed…

Sochi is not the same city and I can understand why they had such costs. The city has transformed into a wonderland of delights. I remember well that Sochi was just a worn out Soviet leftover city. Now it has become a modern city that ranks with the best. it really has changed that much and it is beautiful…

We have lots to do and I will post this now. I then will see how it looks on the site and go from there…

As I have been saying from the beginning, “Just wow! Oh wow!”

That is all I can say and that describes what someone who has seen Sochi before all the transformation and is stunned by that transformation…

Wow, Oh Wow!

2014 Sochi Paralympics here we come…

sochi_2014_paralympics_logo

We are on our way and I should sometime Thursday be able to look at Windows to Russia and try to post, but as always, things seem to get in the way. Like no internet and they say that they have internet at the hotel in the room and such. That seems to be the big issue and I will not pay extra to have internet. I also will not use a data plan and spend a fortune. I expect it to be in the room and that is that… 🙂

Today I started to laugh, after looking at the Paralympic medal situation. I did not look yesterday and a few minutes ago I was shocked. I mean I thought that things were lopsided before and I realized that they became very lopsided as I looked the other way…

I hope that we get to see some of the same when we are watching the events. We have a full scheduled and that includes the closing ceremony on Sunday. We also are trying to pick up another event, but to tell the truth, everything is sold out and we may be looking at trying to find a ticket scalper. (We want to try to get to a snowboarding event!) Tickets were sold out as fast as they came up on the internet to buy and that made it hard to get them…

So yes if all goes good I will be able to post a few pictures and a few posts…

Have a good day!

Salmon / Fish Croquettes or Patties…

Salmon-PattiesAs a child the treat of the year was when my parents would splurge and buy a can of salmon. In my life salmon was expensive and not something that you ever had very much of, canned only and fresh never ever in my life, until I was an adult…

Then I came to Russia and found salmon as an everyday, dirt cheap and plentiful food item. I mean they have salmon in every store and they even sell it on the side of the road. Most of the time it is smoked and salted and Sveta just loves her salmon. I have had to acquire a taste for it as I never had it except in one form as I grew up and even as I got older. Salmon to me was destined to be a croquette…

Then I decided to take fresh salmon as the canned variety is unheard of in Russia and cooked it down, pulled the bones and ground it up. I used the recipe below and Sveta went crazy and over ate on salmon patties. So I am including this recipe in the bunch I have because Sveta loved them so much and she had never had salmon done that way before. It made me smile as I watched her munch and munch…

Lets make Salmon Patties…

For salmon mix:
500 g – ground salmon
2 slices – shredded black bread
2 to 3 tablespoons milk
2 eggs
fry oil for skillet
salt, pepper – to taste

Lets Make:
If salmon is not ground up yet, shred the fish (salmon in this case) in a food processor. Or as I do, just by hand…

Add shredded bread, then add eggs and milk, season to taste with salt and pepper and hand mix until blended well…

I let sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors and moisture to mix…

While the mix sits a few minutes; Oil skillet and bring to medium heat. Form a patty of your size and choice of the mix and carefully lay into the hot grease. Remember carefully – you need to sear the patty and not soak up all the oil. Hence hot grease and burned fingers go together…

Fry until both sides are golden delicious brown…

Try these with any fish and you would have it the Russian way. Try it with salmon and you have it the American way…

What gives us the right?

indexI am upset, in fact I am very upset…

We (USA) have spent billions trying to destroy Syria. We have spent billions to destroy Ukraine (5 billion over a few years to be exact!) We have spent trillions in Iraq and Afghanistan to destroy those countries. We spent several billion to destroy Libya and it shows with the never ending civil war going on there. We have spent at least a few billions over the last 10 years trying to get a revolution started in Russia. We have spent untold billions to bomb countries after countries and many of them into oblivion. We have sent billions and billions of dollars in military equipment for free to countries to help us destroy other countries…

  • What gives us the right?
  • When are we going to stop?
  • When are we going to help the world 100% of the time, not just when it suits our needs?
  • When are we going to wake up?
  • When are we going to look around and see what we have done?
  • Do we want to be bombed ourselves in retaliation?
  • Do we not care what we do to others?
  • Do we not care what spent uranium ammo does?
  • Do we not care?
  • Why do we think that we should spend money on regime change in other countries?
  • Why do we want to destroy other countries?
  • Are we not strong enough to protect ourselves?
  • Are we so weak we have to attack first like a cornered animal?
  • What gives us the right?
  • Do we not care?
  • Do we understand what we are doing to other countries?
  • Do we really think that we are doing it in the name of democracy?
  • Do we really think that we do it to save these countries?
  • Do we really think that we bomb and drone with no casualties?
  • What gives us the right?
  • Do we not care?
  • Sveta and I have walked many streets around the world and we walk beaches on many different shores. These beaches, streets, shores, shops, cafes and other homes and businesses, are a pleasure to see and buy from. The food is delicious and the people are wonderful…

  • Why are we jealous and why are we hateful to other countries?
  • Why do we want to destroy them?
  • Are we scared of them?
  • Do we fear them in our sleep?
  • Do they hide under our beds and wait to kill us?
  • Do they come to the USA and dance on our graves?
  • The fact is that no one bothers us, until we interfere and cause issues!

    What gives us the right?

Why do we spend money to kill, but not to protect, to nurture, to create growth and peace all over the world?

One last question: What did they do to us, to deserve what we do to them?

Can We Afford Ukraine? by Ron Paul…

paulOfficially, US debt stands at more than $17 trillion. In reality, it is many times more. The cost of the US invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq may be more than six trillion dollars. President Obama’s illegal invasion of Libya cost at least a billion dollars and left that country devastated. The costs of US regime change efforts in Syria are likely thus far enormous, both in dollars and lives. That’s still a secret.

So who in his right mind would think it is a good time to start a war with Russia over Ukraine? And worse, who would commit the United States to bail out a Ukraine that will need at least $35 billion to survive the year?

Who? The president and Congress, backed by the neocons and the so-called humanitarian interventionists!

The House voted overwhelmingly last week to provide $1 billion in loan guarantees to Ukraine. That is just the beginning, you can be sure. But let’s be clear: this is not money for the population of that impoverished country. The Administration is sending a billion dollars from US taxpayers to wealthy international bankers who hold Ukrainian debt. It is an international bank bailout, not aid to Ukrainians. And despite the escalating anti-Russia rhetoric, ironically some of that money will likely go to Russia for Ukraine’s two billion dollar unpaid gas bill!

So what happened in Ukraine? The US government and media claims that the US must save Ukrainian democracy from an invading Russian army that is threatening the country’s sovereignty. But in reality the crisis was instigated in part by US meddling. Remember the intercepted telephone call in which two senior Obama Administration officials discussed plans to replace the elected government in Ukraine with US puppets? That is exactly what happened. Is that not a violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty? Is that what democracy is all about?

The Obama Administration’s policy toward Ukraine is hypocritical. The overthrow of the government in Kiev by violent street protests was called a triumph of democracy, but when the elected parliament in autonomous Crimea voted last week to hold a referendum to decide its future, President Obama condemned it as a violation of international law. What about the principle of self-determination, which is also enshrined in international law?

I have long thought that a referendum to reorganize Ukraine into a looser confederation of regions might help reduce tensions. I still believe this could help, but it seems the US government is not so enthusiastic about democracy when there is a chance for an outcome it opposes.

I strongly believe that Crimeans have every right to transfer sovereignty over their peninsula to Russia if they wish. The only question that remains is whether there will there be an honest election, and I don’t see any reason there can’t be.

The US government tells the rest of the world, “We want you to be good democrats and have elections,” but if they don’t elect the right people then we complain about it and throw them out, like we did in Egypt. In Crimea they want to have an election to determine their future. President Obama condemned those plans for a vote by saying, “We are well beyond the days when borders can be redrawn over the heads of democratic leaders.” Does he not remember that the authorities in Kiev were installed just weeks ago after a US-backed coup against the Ukrainian constitution?

Congress next week will likely vote for sanctions against Russia. Though many mistakenly believe that sanctions are a relatively harmless way of forcing foreign countries to do what we say, we should be clear: sanctions are an act of war.

Cooler heads in the United States are not currently prevailing. There is a danger of an unimaginable conflict between the US and Russia. We must demand a shift away from a war footing, away from incendiary rhetoric. We are broke and cannot afford to “buy” Ukraine. We certainly cannot afford another war, especially with Russia!
