Ugly but solid and so much more comfortable to walk up them. The old set was starting to crack and pop as I walked up them.
Mess in front of stairs is the rotted old ones.
Then I did laundry…
Decided yesterday to make the front stairs safe. I am not much of a carpenter, but I do what I do what I can….they are solid and very strong ad will last for years. The old ones were getting dangerous and it was a need to be done, not want to be done…
The barn supporting is done and now all the doors work like they should and I have increased support inside and out. I have plans to repair and paint the roof and find some steel corner braces. Then I will be officially done…
I may relax this weekend….kinda tired this morning and I do not even remember falling asleep last night. Laid my head down on the pillow and ZZZZZZZZZZ…
Today: I will walk my morning walk, if the weather holds, I will finish tilling the potato garden and I have to replace a blown short piece of heater hose on Sammy the Volga….and oh yes, I have to replace a circuit breaker this morning before I use the electric tiller…
And you wonder why I get up at 2 to 3 a.m. every morning?
Get moving people and make something out of the situation you have been given and stop blaming others for the misgivings in life…
People cannot see a virus…
People cannot accept what they cannot see…
People desire to be skeptical about what they cannot see…
People dislike being told what to do…
People are basically simple-minded…
Then someone you know, either family, friend and or a very important person in your life, dies from King Coronavirus…
Skepticism and disbelief turns to sorrow and fear…
For at that point, whether you can see King Corona or not, you realize that he is really out there and waiting for you. That person you had just die in your life from the King Corona should have lived many more years. Even with diabetes and or what ever issues they have. Their productivity to life in general is gone….and you the proverbial student within their life may have been the one to kill them…
Eg….As in a case that I just found out about: A very important Russian cancer “Doctor of Surgery” at mid sixties in age, while helping on the front line in fighting this King Corona, died from the King…
The King Corona does not care and he will cut your life short, even while most around you are all okay and carrying him from new host to new host. If you have a weakness for him to exploit, he will take you from earth and in a very bad way…
That my friend is why I am careful around everyone and wear my mask when I go to the Big Village and wash my hands a bunch and try to stay as self-isolated as I can, so that I can still be productive in life and hopefully one day, when something comes along and changes the situation, I can get back to a semblance of normality…
I know more than a few who have died of King Corona and many are very important people and those people, even though they were old and had other health issues, they were still a very productive part of the future and advancement of mankind…
King Coronavirus does not give a damn whether you believe in him or not….nor whether you believe this is a hoax or not…

PS: I surmise and consider that if I die at 70 from a virus that we could keep from getting and I would have lived to 80 otherwise. I consider those ten years a good thing to have lived and experienced life. – I myself personally could have died twenty + years ago from heart issues, and or from a brain tumor. Yet I have had twenty good years more in life and I would like a few more, please!
To put in more crass and simple terms: There are times it just ain’t worth trying to be a badass with a foe who does not give a damn!
I just noticed at the top of the image (Black fuzzy smudge.). That is one of our eagles looking at the lake below him. Probably looking for dinner?
Sometimes as I go about my business and find myself working to repair things all around the homes. I stop long enough to take in what is around me…
Kinda like stopping and smell the coffee…
Yesterday, I felt a shift in the weather and looked up as I was finishing a project and the sun was bright, but you could feel something coming. A storm a brewing…i
Yesterday was cold and brisk. The wind was relentless all day…
I finished the barn, now today I have to clean my mess up. I also had to track down a electrical issue. The main breaker blew and would not reset. I spent two hours tracing each circuit and finally found the issue, an old wall socket had fried out. The house looked like world war three, as I found that somewhere in the wire to the socket was now a dead short. Thus, I pulled that circuit in complete and rewired the line. New plugin and new wire and I was back in business…
Never dull and never bored in the Tiny Russian Village…
Today I have to go to the Big Village, for I need to buy a main breaker set….seems that the dead short has weakened one breaker ad now I have a buzz sound under load. Not worth playing with, just get new breakers and replace them….that should solve that…
By the way, within 15 minutes of that image above….it started to snow and sleet…
Kinda proud of Russia. They got her done and just in time…
Moscow’s brand-new infectious diseases hospital has admitted its first patients, despite construction having begun in mid-March. It comes as Russia recorded over 5,600 Covid-19 cases in a day, with the peak still approaching. The 800-bed facility’s completion is a much-needed antidote to the country’s ever-worsening coronavirus crisis. As of Tuesday afternoon, Russia has 52,763 confirmed cases of Covid-19, and more than half of infections are in Moscow and the Moscow Region. With 5,642 cases nationwide confirmed in the last 24 hours, the opening of the hospital could not have been more timely – and, according to data mentioned by President Vladimir Putin on Monday, the worst is still to come. The new hospital is capable of conducting more than 10,000 tests a day and includes a 1,300-capacity hostel to accommodate staff, according to Moscow’s government website.
Not as fast as China did it, but a much needed hospital and it has been built for permanency, unlike the Chinese ones that have been dismantled already. This hospital will stay put…
The deer are out and about. Smaller deer than what I am use to in the US when I hunted a bunch…
Swallows are all finally showing up and that means mosquitoes are coming soon…
Eagles everywhere and they do a good job at self-isolation. Yet really they kinda dislike everything in the first place. Except their sweety…
Oh the barn!
If the weather stays somewhat better, I will try to finish the barn today. I am installing diagonal beams everywhere and when I can shop in the Big Village decently, I will get some diagonal cross bars to drive into place on all corners, front to back and side to side….maybe I will have to have them made?
Couple of the steel beams are as heavy as I am and they were not much fun to get in place. When I am done all braces on the front of the barn will be gone and installed with even more braces to the inside of the barn…
The middle section of the barn is a chicken coop and is still set up for them. That brings to mind a future project and maybe we need chickens! Maybe?
If all you knew about this country came from the likes of the Washington Post and the Guardian, you’d be forgiven for thinking Russian streets were teeming with balalaika-playing bears, AK-47-wielding communists, and KGB officers Cossack-dancing in the snow. By now, you’d have thought such caricatures would have gotten old, yet despite the current trend towards wokeness, lazy and hackneyed stereotypes are back in fashion.
Trump said during a press briefing on the coronavirus pandemic last Saturday that “I received a nice note from him recently. It was a nice note. I think we’re doing fine.”
But: North Korea’s Foreign Ministry said there is/was no letter addressed to Trump “recently” by “The Supreme Leader,” in a reference to the benevolent Kim Jong Un…
But, then I found out through very very very good anonymous US government sources that Trump did get a nicely handwritten note from Kim Jong Un:
It reads as quoted below…
“37OH ssV – O773H”
Trump couldn’t make any sense of it and sent it to the FBI…
The FBI couldn’t decode it and sent it to the NSA…
The NSA gave up and asked the MSS (Ministry of State Security, which is located in China by the way) for help…
Then NSA got a call from the MSS (Ministry of State Security, which is located in China by the way):
“Tell your president he’s holding the note upside down!”
Other than not having my Sweetpea with me. Self-isolation is fantastic…
But then I guess anyone who loves a very isolated Tiny Russian Village would say that!
Grouchy and happy. Stay away and make me happier…
When you are as grouchy as I am and only likes to have one person at a time to even communicate with. My choice would be Svetochka and no one else ever. Then self-isolation is a dream for me. I also noticed that my Sweetpea who is very introvert, is flourishing also in Moscow. She is never bored and like me, we cannot get everything done in a day…
How could it be any better for a bear like me than to be able to growl at people and keep them away. This is like a dream come true…
Spending my work career dealing with untold thousands and thousands of people a day at times and having to bite my tongue when I was being yelled at daily by rude customers, who just wanted to get a free meal and knew that corporate would do it, would have a tendency to make you happy to be alone…
Svetochka up in Moscow is working online, ordering food delivers and dealing with her family. She is actually in heaven and has stock piled food like crazy. She thinks having food delivered to the door is a neat idea and is utilizing it. As she has ordered all kinds of delicious foods and shows me the refrigerator in pictures. Who knew that yogurt would be her stock pile favorite food?
Sveta has much less chance of getting outside, but we have a exercise bike for her to use twice a day and she is eating healthy. She also is being taught by me over Viber how to cook things and she is a good cook! Who knew? She did not!
Sveta is going to have to make banana bread today and or tomorrow. Her bananas are very black and have to be used… (Hint Hint)
I find it interesting that so many people on social media are doing more than the dumb things they normally do and there are so many bored people. It is as if the people will riot over self-isolation, yet when presented with real issues, like war and sanctions against the world, they sit around and whine about life in general…
Maybe people should learn to read again? …. I did see that there is a seed shortage now in the US. That is good….grow your food people….How about fixing something? How about smelling the coffee and roses?
What there is not is a shortage of is people on social media doing naked selfies everyday…
People are strange!

PS: If you like a great movie about this King Corona Virus situation and do not mind a foreign film with terrible voice over. But I laughed, there is some great political jabs at the current situation and they are right on…
Corona Zombies:
Don’t knock it. They really see the truth about how we have handled this virus…
The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the center of the Orthodox Christian faith. Twelve weeks of preparation precede it. This is made up of pre-lenten Sundays, Great Lent, and Holy Week. The faithful try to make this long journey with repentance, forgiveness, reconciliation, prayer, fasting, almsgiving, and study. When the feast finally arrives, it is celebrated with a collection of services combined as one.
Grouchy bear of a human and I love my coffee and my Sweetpea!
Us humans seem to be so out of touch with nature. We seem at times to be something not part of real life on earth. That could be the issue…
I walked at 5 a.m. and saw four deer, one fox, ten eagles, hundreds of ducks and a zillion tiny baby birds…
It may be cold, but the grass is growing, the weeds are sprouting upward and the sun came up with a smile. It seems that the only ones having issues are the humans and truthfully, our issues are self-instigated. Like the kid who tries to pick a fight at the sandbox, because everyone is having a good time. Yet that seems to bother that kid….adults are the same…
Foxy Fox, as I call him, was digging at the side of the road and I stayed still until he got what he wanted in his mouth. Then he looked around and saw me. He paused and thought a few seconds and slunk away toward the river. The deer were grazing near the river farther along my walk and they sensed me and decided I was possibly bad enough and bounded away into the woods. The little baby birds all watched me, chirped at me and ignored me, yet the eagles, ducks and ravens all considered me to be a threat and stayed far away…
But, everything was flowing and working as it should. Animals stayed away from the unknown and yet the baby birds who know me, come and look at me. They sing and dance in all the trees. Not a worry in the world…
Nature seems to have a handle on the earth. I do wish that us humans had even a inkling of the ability to be part of nature…
Everywhere I walk, I find signs of man…
Broken bottle, candy wrapper, crushed beer can, bulldozer tears in the ground, a backhoe remains that dug a ditch, old power poles, old equipment almost rotted away and a million other things. All of it is man made waste that uses resources in a wasteful way…
The fox has a home, dug by himself and we call it a fox hole. The deer bed down deep in the woods at night. The eagles build nests, huge nests, and reuse them every year. The baby birds eat the seeds from all the weeds, they do not think that weeds are weeds, the weeds are food. The ducks are getting ready to have their families and the grouchy hedgehog that I found also this morning is even grouchier than I am. If that is possible!
Us humans scare the earth and we use up resources for the rest of the planet as if the resources are endless…
I definitely do not think that us humans are natural to this planet and I realize that earth would be balanced and peaceful if we were not here. You realize that nothing on this planet would miss us if we disappeared, well except possibly cats and dogs who have been domesticated to the point of total reliance upon us…
But the wolf, hedgehog, fox, eagle and the bear could careless if we disappeared. They would thrive and balance with the rest of nature, as would the tiny little sparrows…
When I walk among nature and see the beauty that is there, how it will finally erase our remains after we leave. It would be as if in some many years, we would never have existed…
Really I do not think we humans are natural and good for earth…
