Bet you forgot about the TRV weather station…

Weather Station in Tiny Russian Village…

I dusted it off and cleaned out the cobwebs. Found the new batteries that I had stocked up on and tried it out. First I found the owners manual and read it again…

It works….you know that Chinese made stuff, that is bad mouthed all the time. Yet it always just works 95% of the time as I use Chinese made stuff…

I drove a pole into the ground and mounted it appropriately. Then fired up both pieces and allowed the two pieces to handshake and in about two minutes, I had the TRV weather station back online. My only issue is trying to connect to a Linux computer so that I can send the data to the local weather station in the Big Village…

That part is not important, as my station that Sveta bought me years ago, still works good…

Nickolas home is coming together. Everyday I get one more thing done and one more issue solved…

Oh, this station is a Kweller S-8200 and it can still be bought. It is not the fancy version, but it has all I need to allow me to enjoy data collecting. It can still be bought for about 10,000 rubles or $135 dollars. We paid much less years ago…

55 potato plants in the patch at TRV

Yesterday, before the sandstorm hit and all hell broke loose. I started early and finished the potato patch. 55 potatoes planted and watered. Nice, clear and beautiful day….then…

The day went to hell and I spent six hours trying to save the trees…

Gusts of 40 meters a second winds… (That is 90 mph and I disliked it tremendously!) The Big Village had a better time of it and only got 21 meters a second winds. But we are the highest spot around and kinda like a mountain. the winds always tear us up worse than the valley villages…

Remember we are the ones who have even had cars flipped over…

From Russia: The Russian Village and the Tornado!

I braced all the trees that were pulling out of the ground. I had to hand on to one tree and lean back to keep it from falling over. The wind was that bad and the sky was a sick brown color. Felt like something from a movie and the aliens are coming…

I lost half a maple tree, I will try to salvage what is left…

Both homes came through okay. I was running from one home to the other and bracing trees. Sveta’s mother’s home’s yard did much better than Nikolai’s home did. A bunch less trees… But the fence at Mom’s home had to be repaired this morning in places…

This morning it is raining, so no tilling the other garden today. But I will take rain over what we had yesterday. 😉

How can a day go so bad when it started out so perfect?

Think I will read a book today…

A dust storm covered the village of Sarai (Big Village). Old-timers do not remember this

Yesterday, dust storm, winds trying to take the roof off. That was what TRV was being attacked with also…

Hmm…

On Wednesday, April 29, closer to dinner, a real dust storm broke out in Sarai. Dust stood in the air like smoke or fog. This is not remembered by the old-timers.

“The wind speed today reaches 21 meters per second,” says Tatyana Zhilichkina, meteorologist and technician at the Sarajevo Weather Station. “Sometimes the wind is even stronger, but there has never been a dust storm, as it is today.”

“The phenomenon is really strange,” says Sergey Litvinov, a local resident. – For my 68 years, I have not seen this. Well, there was a strong wind, drove the dust, curled whirls, but I do not remember that the dust was constantly in the air.

Mikhail Pirozhkov, who had to drive along an asphalt road, protected from landings by landings, even had to turn on the emergency gang and reduce the speed to a minimum.

“I was just afraid that they would not notice me in such a hurricane,” the driver says.

I have to say that yesterday was terrible and I had to prop up trees with braces and run around trying to keep the roof on, so to say…

Bad bad bad…

PS: Here it comes…

Dust Storm a coming….hide little baby birds… TRV

Well that was easy to predict…

Yawn says Winnie the Poo!

So tiring and so old hat…

Time to plant the garden for American elections: Russia, China…China, Russia… (Rinse & Repeat)….hell that garden has been growing for years now and they keep fertilizing it with lies…

Sow in a little Iran, Venezuela, EU, and North Korea and toss in a tiny bit of abused Cuba to keep things interesting…

Never a true thought within the cranium about repercussions and such…

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Donald Trump said on Wednesday he believes China’s handling of the coronavirus is proof that Beijing “will do anything they can” to make him lose his re-election bid in November. In an interview with Reuters in the Oval Office, Trump said he was looking at different options in terms of consequences for China over the virus. “I can do a lot,” he said.

I blame you for my faults…

I really thought Obama was the king of blaming & lies, but I see that Trump desires that crown and will blame everyone and anything for his faults. If he would just man up and tell the truth? That would be a different story, but he like all these many many years of our US Gov & puppet presidents, are always looking for who to blame for that ugly mug they see in the mirror each morning as they brush their teeth…

Every time I think we have hit a new low and that the gutter cannot be dug any deeper, we decide to get a bigger backhoe and dig down a little more…

The UK is blaming Russia for just about everything and Bubba is blaming China now for everything. OK, Bubba also blames Russia for being just well, Russia…

Then lets not even talk about Jr in the middle who is pulling the strings….up, down, left, right, backwards and forwards…

Some mornings you get up and as you sip a delicious cup of coffee, you see that over night, stupidity took a turn for the worse and someone is trying to say,

“Hey look over there, a squirrel!”

Walking TRV and a treasure…

Another mans trash is another mans treasure…

I have been trying to figure out what and how the kind of cable to anchor the barn with. Buying a cable strong enough to put serious tension on is expensive and I was trying to gather the items that would allow me to span the front to back of the barn and use a large come-along to put tension against the front of the leaning barn. Not straighten it, but equal the gravity pull downward upon it…

Then as I was walking near the forest in the middle of nowhere land, I found a treasure. It was dumped near a pile of trash, bad people dump trashy stuff in the middle of nowhere all the time….I guess they did not want this huge cable. Not rusted and or anything, just very very heavy…

It is 1.25 inches thick and exactly 10 meters long….32.8 feet long….with a knot on either end. Could not image wanting to tie a knot into a cable like that, but I will utilize those knots, for I sure will never get them untied… 😉

A cable weighs about 2.9 per foot at that size and so it is about 95 pounds. I had to drag it over two kilometers to get it home. Up and down the little hills, around the trees, over the many ant mounds, across one deep ravine and finally I trudged into the backyard…

The cable actually pulled me off balance three times and I ended up on the ground. It would get stuck in something like a anthill….ouch…

I will use it to pull from the top front to the bottom back and pull it tight. If the building falls over after this? It will roll in one piece with all the support I have on it now!

Life in the Tiny Russian Village…

The garden must be done!

Three times is the charm as I use our new little tiller (6000 rubles cost). It is amazing how good this tiny thing is and it just destroys the ground. I dug up lots of rocks, rags and trash. This area is at the barn and it was full of animals for many years. The worst thing that I kept finding was strips of a very tough black cloth. About a half dozen strips tangled up the tines of the tiller and forced me to have to stop and unwind them. Just like sucking a rag up into a vacuum. They were buried deep and not rotted at all. Not sure what they had been used for, but they were everywhere…

The eagle is at 30X optical zoom and not the clearest. But he or she was watching me from the distance, as it sat near the river. They are monstrous birds…I see two most of the time and they have a nest nearby…

This morning I will finish the potato patch and start on the kitchen garden at the other home. No more freezing and it is time to plant the gardens…

We will have onions, garlic, beets, lettuce, carrots and of course potatoes…

Going to rain this afternoon, therefore, I have to get some things done this morning. First though, gotta walk and wake up. Walking is important and it helps keep the heart good…

Out and About in TRV

My phone spit out a video to me. Still not sure where it came from, but it is of my images I take as I walk and they called it, Out and About…

I like it and after much trouble trying to get it in a size and workable format…

Well there it is. My walks around TRV…

‘What’s the US hiding?’ Exactly what I was thinking and have been saying…

Good question and I am glad to see the question asked. After all I have been asking this same question for months now. The way the US and the UK are acting, “Something is rotten in the state of Denmark…“ (Act-I, Scene-IV – William Shakespeare’s play Hamlet)….you know, I had to read that play when I was a kid!

Beijing has called on Washington to address the concerns of its own citizens about the US response to the Covid-19 pandemic, while condemning American politicians for shifting blame for the crisis squarely onto China’s shoulders.Asked to comment on a series of American media reports on the US government’s slow and often inept response to the health crisis on Monday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang relayed some of the questions raised by the reporting, asking whether Washington may have swept information about the virus under the rug.“Recently there have been many voices in the United States that question and worry about whether the US government has responded to the epidemic in a timely and effective manner,” Geng said, adding his hopes that the US would soon answer their questions. They wanted to get the facts straight: when did the first case occur in the United States? Is the US government hiding something? Why is it so desperately seeking to pin the blame on other countries and international organizations?

King Corona is advancing toward The Tiny Russian village…

Svetochka sent me a link. She keeps me informed!

Коронавирус
Infogram

Big graph at top of info is interactive and the links say: Got sick (red), Conditionally infected (yellow), Recovered (blue), Died (black)…

Next with the people graph: Children (red), 18 to 64 years old (green), Over 65 (blue)….green is winning so far…

Next graph is areas: Ryazan District (Where I am at. The worst hit so far.), Erminsky District, Kasimov, Klepikovsky District, Miloslavsky District, Pronsky District, Rybnovsky District, Sapozhkovsky District, Sasovo, Skopin, Spassky District, Chuchkovsky District, Shilovsky District…

Then farther break down nearest to the Tiny Russian Village: Sarai area — 15, 2 in Sarai (Big Village), 2 in Sysoi (Across the river and walking distance.)…

So therefore, the “King Corona” is within walking distance of our Tiny Russian Village. Just a hop and skip across the Para River (About a 5 kilometer walk.) that I take images of all the time…

I really dislike, “King Corona”…

So therefore, as I tell Svetochka in Moscow!

It is time to be even more careful and stay away from people…

King Corona is like cockroaches: Where you have one, you have hundreds hidden…
