Frost soon….and coffee time…

Coffee-iconSooner than later, Frost is coming…

Boza and I went and flooded the wells this morning. That means we turned on the big well and pumped water until it overflowed the smaller wells. The upper small well was getting cloudy and I decided that washing them out would be a good idea. Therefore, at 2 a.m.Boza and I were walking the Tiny Russian Village, while it rained and flooded the wells…

It was +4 this morning, raining and foggy! Today will be around +10 degrees and it looks to be going down hill from there. We will have a few warmer days, but winter is almost here. I will take the big camera today and get a picture of the most beautiful tree. It changes color first and sits in a field by itself. I just love the tree. Boza and I walked several times to it and I know autumn is here when this tree changes…

The deciduous forest is changing and we have several spots where it is mixed within the coniferous forest. It gets so pretty as you can see the treetops peaking out from all the green pines. When all is green as in summer, they blend well and do not show up, unless you know where to look. So, I will try to get some images today…

img_20160914_170112Yesterday, a rainbow appeared (Actually look close and you will see two!) It was very short lived and never became a full rainbow, but it was there. So beautiful and so becoming of the Tiny Russian Village, Rainbows make me feel good…

Boza and I had to run home, for the rain came fast and furious. According to my weather system, rain for two days is predicted. Looks that way to me and so far the device is pretty accurate…

There is a ton of data available now. The coldest day in the past years, was -35.7 C degrees and the warmest was +38.3 C… (That is like a 100 degree swing in seasons!)

It is long underwear, coats and hat weather. I think the gloves need to come out from storage also…

Trying to get the car in to have the new engine put in. For in about a week and a half Svetochka comes to spend a week and then we leave for Moscow. Boza has to get to the doctor…

He could see some today and the walk was easier. He was able to see the flashlight and follow me in the dark. I use the flashlight and shine the light in front of him as he runs in front of me. It helps him to see at least the area around him. At my age, I struggle with night vision also. Seems to be a curse of old age…

I have developed a system of Russian words for commands as he walks. Then a few English ones also. I tell Boza when to turn left and right, He knows sit, stay, come here and many others. Mostly in Russian of course…. He is a smart dog and you can teach an old dog new tricks…

Due to normal Russian rules, I have to leave the country. This happens twice a year and really it is okay! How and what we do this year is going to be up to Boza. If Boza needs surgery, then I will make a short run to a place like Kiev, Ukraine and or Tallinn, Estonia and come back cheap and quick. If not, Svetochka and I want to spend sometime away from Boza and have some time together. Russia has wonderful inexpensive areas to go to and enjoy the sights. Hotels or rooms in almost all villages while traveling are dirt cheap. Every small town and up, has comfortable rooms for rent and is the only way to travel…

Therefore, the future of what we do is based on what is going on with Boza. We will know in a few weeks. He is comfortable and happy. Yesterday, even not being able to see, he carried his ball around, tried to dig up a mole, scared a kitty and found a mouse in the field. He is doing good and you can tell that dogs use nose and ears for most hunting issues…

I am still losing weight, I am almost there. It looks like I am about 105 kilos. That is around 231# and or 16.5 stone, according to how you measure weight. 5 kilos to my goal weight. I want to settle at a 100 kilos for half a year or so. I feel better and this crazy new fad of promoting fat people as normal, is going to kill many people, we as a race, need to be thinner. I travel the world and fat people are everywhere, just more fat people in the Americas and Europe than the rest of the world. Sometimes too much of a good thing is not a good thing…

Well, I need to go. I just checked the wells and I have tons of stuff to do. I may not get any good pictures today. It looks as if the sun has run away to hide…

Have a nice day…
