The US of Regime Change accuses the Russians of wanting…regime change in Georgia. Writes a friend: “This whole article is worth reading. Rich in irony and good for more than a couple laughs, but here’s the money quote from Russia’s UN representative, Vitaly Churkin, to US ambassador to the United Nations, Zalmay Khalilzad:

“Churkin reacted angrily at the suggestion that Russia was guilty of terrorizing Georgians. ‘This statement, ambassador, is completely unacceptable, particularly from the lips of the permanent representative of a country whose actions we are aware of, including with regard to the civilian populations in Iraq and Afghanistan and Serbia,” Churkin told the council.”

Russia: Georgia Is Still Lying!

Georgian Interior Ministry spokesman Shota Utiashvili said on Sunday that Georgian forces had fully withdrawn from the separatist province.

However, a spokesman for the peacekeeping command told RIA Novosti: “This statement is a lie, just like [Georgian President Mikheil] Saakashvili’s statement on the impossibility of using military force in conflict zones.”

Joe Mestas, American citizen living in South Ossetia, who witnessed everything that happening in the region, talked to RT and blamed U.S. and Georgian leaders for the outbreak of violence.

“I thought that since U.S. is supporting Georgia there would be some control over the situation in South Ossetia and that there would be a peaceful solution to the conflict. But what is happening there now it’s not just war, but war crimes. George Bush and [Georgian president] Mikhail Saakashvili should answer to the crimes that are being committed – the killing of innocent people, running over by tanks of children and women, throwing grenades into cellars where people are hiding,” Joe Mestas said.

“The war is when military fight against military. But the Georgina army is killing innocent civilians. This is genocide,” he added.

As far as I can tell Georgia has not pulled out of South Ossetia area yet!

Russia: Claims of Possible Mercenaries in Georgia?

Dead Mercenaries Found in Tskhinvali

Authorities in the unrecognized republic of South Ossetia claim that dark-skinned mercenaries took part in the attack on Tskhinvali, reports RIA Novosti, citing representative of the South Ossetian president in Russia Dmitry Medoev. He said there were bodies of many Georgian soldiers on the streets on Tskhinvali. “There were blacks among the dead, who were probably either mercenaries or instructors in the Georgian armed forces,” Medoev said.

The statement has been said that it is possible that dead USA Military will be found. Russia is not going to leave a stone unturned on this situation. I hope America has clean hands in this War?

The USA has described Russia’s actions as "dangerous and disproportionate".

US Deputy National Security Adviser James Jeffrey said that if the Russian escalation continued, it would have a “significant” long-term impact on relations between the Moscow and Washington.

“We’re alarmed by this situation,” he told reporters in Beijing.

Georgia is guilty of genocide!

Georgia is guilty of genocide – Medvedev

Presiden t Dmitry Medvedev has described Georgia’s actions in the conflict zone as genocide. He has ordered Russian prosecutors to collect evidence of the crimes committed there.

”Georgia has exposed South Ossetia to a very crude and cynical aggression. People have died. Russian citizens have died, including local residents and peacekeepers. The actions of the Georgian side cannot be described as anything else but genocide.

“The information we have received suggests that horrible crimes were committed there. People were killed, burnt, run down by tanks, had their throats were cut,” Medvedev said.

The President went on to say that “the operation to restore peace will continue and those guilty will be punished”.

Earlier, after visiting a refugee camp in North Ossetia, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin also accused Georgia of genocide and said those responsible for war crimes should be prosecuted.

The No. 2 at the German foreign ministry on Saturday said Georgia is breaking international law by launching military action to reclaim South Ossetia.

Gernot Erler said Tbilisi had breached a 1992 ceasefire agreement struck with Russia over the renegade Caucasus enclave, monitored essentially by Russian peacekeepers.

“It’s an insane, bloody war which will surely do nothing to resolve the problem of this separatist Ossetian province,” said Erler, deputy to Frank- Walter Steinmeier.
