SHENZHEN officially signed a deal yesterday with Beijing Institute of Technology and Romonosov Moscow State University for the cooperative China-Russia University, which will be built at Universiade New Town in Longgang District.

With the expertise of the two universities combined, the Shenzhen campus will cultivate talent required for cultural, educational and technological exchanges between China and Russia as part of a strategic cooperation plan between the two countries. (more…)

This morning a new load of beams was delivered to the Ukrainians working on the bell tower. They have installed new beams in two complete floors of the bell tower and they are working on the third today. They have used all the bricks lying around and have rebuilt walls all over the place inside the bell tower. They are three-quarters of the way to the top and it looks like roofing will start before long, for I am sure they want to get a roof on it before winter to keep the new floors from being ruined… (more…)
