USA has again implemented more sanctions against Russian companies and literally anything to do with Nord Stream 2. The desperation of the USA is showing and the facts are askew in a terrible display of fear of competition on a level playing field…

The Department of State is committed to fully implementing sanctions authorities in the Protecting Europe’s Energy Security Act of 2019 (“PEESA” or “the Act,” Title LXXV, National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020, Pub. L. No. 116-92). We continue to call on Russia to cease using its energy resources for coercive purposes. Russia uses its energy export pipelines to create national and regional dependencies on Russian energy supplies, leveraging these dependencies to expand its political, economic, and military influence, weaken European security, and undermine U.S. national security and foreign policy interests. These pipelines also reduce European energy diversification, and hence weaken European energy security.
PEESA provides the United States with the authority to advance U.S. national security and foreign policy objectives, in particular, to address Russian pipeline projects that create risks to U.S. national security, threaten Europe’s energy security, and consequently, endanger Europe’s political and economic welfare.
In accordance with PEESA Section 7503, the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of the Treasury, is to submit a report to Congress for the relevant period, identifying (A) vessels that engaged in pipe-laying at depths of 100 feet or more below sea level for the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline project, the TurkStream pipeline project, or any project that is a successor to either such project; and (B) foreign persons that the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of the Treasury, determines have knowingly sold, leased or provided those vessels for the construction of such a project; or facilitated deceptive or structured transactions to provide those vessels for the construction of such a project.

The only malign influence I am seeing in all these illegal sanctions is the one who is imposing these sanctions. When you read what the US writes in these official reports on the web, you realize that it is actually about themselves and they desperately project all the fear of their failures upon and against others…

Update: I even had someone write to me and tell me that the USA would and does not do anything unless it is true and quote this person, “needed for national security of America’s existence”, okey-dokey! Except, how the hell does NORD-2 have anything to do with the USA in the first place? Well, it is true that the USA wants Europe to buy very expensive fracking leftover gas from them. But it is a threat to the USA if Russia sells the gas to Europe? Okey-dokey Maynard….and this person also told me that I am a very bad person and could most likely be a Russian acting American… 😉
On Tuesday, the US extended sanctions against Nord Stream 2 to businesses that provide services or funds to upgrade or install equipment on ships for laying the pipeline. Moscow sees US’ latest sanctions against the Nord Stream 2 pipeline as a continuation of a destructive policy which damages bilateral relations, Russia’s presidential spokesman said. “In general, this is quite an unfriendly and destructive policy of constant introduction of different restrictions against us, our economic operators and our economy. Unfortunately, this has already become an integrate part of of the unfair competition, Washington’s overt raider competition policy. Unfortunately, they have been pursuing this destructive policy for over a year, and it certainly damages our bilateral relations,” Peskov told reporters. Earlier this week, the US Department of State announced that it had rolled out sanctions to firms that “provide services or facilities for upgrades or installation of equipment for those vessels” that are being used to lay the pipeline.
