The first one is exactly the main issue with Russian drivers. The driving culture and the reason I am looking at this in the first place is that now, there are becoming lots and lots of new videos and they seem to be state sponsored for the most part. They encompass driving rules and penalties for driving wrong….cams at intersections record unbelievable violations in driving daily (within a few minutes, if they actually fined the issues, you are talking about tens of thousands of rubles never ending). They are trying to show how dangerous these violations can be to normal daily life….from cross-walkers/crossroads/highways humans to crosswalk/crossroads/highway vehicle violations. I know many Russians see it and I know it is frustrating to many as it is to me…

The second one is one (a video) that I am and have listened to yesterday and this morning again. I find it useful and it is a serious issue that I have to deal with….the video is useful for me personally and maybe for you or someone you know?…

Yup, that is about what it is…

Up at 3 a.m. two cups of coffee. Checking on if the world has decided to blow itself up and no, it is still there. More hate against Russia and more hate against China by the West, kinda exceedingly redundant at this point…

Tossed four small tiny meat pies in the oven and getting ready to take Sammy the Volga to the Big Village. -4 this morning and my mechanic will drop me off at the main highway and I will walk the three kilometers back home to TRV…

The pies are really good…

Sammy and I will go a bit early so that I can grab a couple of things at the store and hope to see her back by at least by Sunday night. Time to replace some air/temp sensors to make her run better…

When I get back from my stroll in the wilderness, I will start getting the homes ready for Sveta to come in about a week. I hope that she is able to get everything in order to spend at least a week (or two, please) here and then we are off back to Moscow, Russia…

I have to have an MRI done of my head and neck and a colonoscope with surgery’s done of my digestive track. My suspicions are that I have hardening of the arteries (Atherosclerosis) in my neck and we will find that I have issues definitely in my intestines, from several hernias to ???…

I also want to make sure that my tumor in my brain I fought with many years ago is still a ghost and not deciding to wake up again…

Life goes on and I enjoy every second that I am given extra in life and that my friends is all you can do and should do…

I knew Daniel Craig’s said clearly that this was his last James Bond movie, but who knew that 007 would be permanently vaporized off the planet in “No Time To Die”? His death is pretty clear cut and I was kinda like, “No way, James Bond does not die!”…

Yet not even Bond can ignore that the missiles falling on him are a bit thorough in their execution, and having Bond get up out of his casket and saying, “Bond, James Bond” with a “shaken not stirred” martini. Just will not happen…. for you have to have more than a body vaporized to resurrect, okay it could but that would be beyond imagination even for Hollywood…

Daniel Craig has been my favorite Bond and I have seen every Bond from the beginning with “Dr. No” to “No Time to Die”….I have also read all of Ian Fleming’s books on Bond. The books are better yet for me…

The movie is good, not the best Bond, but damn good and the ending signifies the end for me to watch them anymore. For it is easy to see that this has left the road open for a “woke” probably gay/female Bond and simply put, that ain’t gonna cut the mustard in the world of 007…

James Bond like so much of my life has been there from the beginning and like so much even James Bond has fallen to the new world…

I think I cut my losses and will remember James Bond as perceived in its infancy, when I was a young punk. Some things are better left alone and I will remember Bond standing at the end waiting for the missiles to hit the silos…

Kinda waiting and watching how much of this is true and how much is falsified. The source is very questionable….yet I do believe that truth is being told….for this is a world wide issue…

That is why such issues bother me….you would be surprised at how many people are in prisons in the world and never did anything wrong and or nothing wrong that should entail going to prison…

So Russia, get on it and take care of this issue….you are a better country than this and please do not let the perpetrators get off with a simple expulsion and slap on the wrist…

Father Pavel called and said that he had a good talk with the Electric Company Boss and they will get the rotted electric pole replaced….(I am using my imagination and letting it imagine how a “Orthodox Monk” twists arms to get things done. I imagine, “Monk Mafia!”, Yes I like it)

The culvert is on its way thanks to the Fish Village and father Pavel again…

Ivan our mechanic in the Big Village has gotten the parts for Sammy the Volga, so this weekend Sammy goes to stay at the Big Village…

And NO, the Russian Post Office has no idea where the package from the US is, so far! (Oh to be me….how do I tell Sammy the Volga, if the post office ate her baby car model? I should never have shown her pictures of the model…)

I would like to sit down and have a cup of coffee with this guy. This is not a smart ass thing I say. I actually would love to sip coffee and listen to the line of Bull this guy would spin as you talk. Mikheil Saakashvili is one of those people on this planet that is able to help you understand the degree of mental illness present within the human mind. We all have it, yet some just live by it and to get more insight over a cup of coffee would be fantastic…

Weighs around 50 kilos (110 pounds for you Americans) and after sending Svetochka a few pictures to verify what I knew already. I decided to get this 1982 Soviet Union made heater home and see if it is as good as I suspected….now I understand how bad life had become for me….I was carrying this heater that weighs almost as much as I have lost in kilos. Being fat is a bad thing people and don’t kid yourself that being fat is all hunky-dory….better listen you “body positive fatsos”….it is the perfect ticket to diabetes, heart issues, arthritis issues and a dozen more fat related issues…

I know all about it…

I guess it is made in 1981 and sold as a 1982 model? It is in great shape except where someone who was not very knowledgeable tried to rewire it. It has varnish coated wires within the insulating jacket of the plugin cord. They wired a new cord spliced to the old varnished wires and did not clean the varnish off and as I grew up with lots of devices with varnished wires (Insulating mainly against moisture usage/issues!), I was taught how to splice non-varnished wires to varnished wires…

I imagine that someone tried to repair the device and found that something as simple as what I described above, made it look as if it really was a bad device?

Varnish is not a bad insulator against electricity…

I checked it over good and fired it up after fixing what needed to be fixed and after it warmed up the 3 to 4 cm thick steel plate, it was an heating animal. It is rated at 220 volts and a 1000 watts. But it puts out heat like three modern electric heaters running at the same time. Then with so much mass, it took almost two hours to cool down. I see how this will be a very important addition when -30 C. (-22 F) hits in a winter night…

Very glad to have been in the right place at the right time…

Father Pavel called and asked if the electric company had replaced the rotted pole….nope and he said he was personally meeting with the man in charge and having a discussion with him about said electric pole…

Father Pavel is a good man and he is one who tries and does his best to do what he says he will do. This is becoming an uncommon trait in our societies nowadays…

-3 C this morning and it looks like either today and or no later than tomorrow the fish guys will have the lake empty and done. Then the owner of the lakes and fish farm told Father Pavel that he will be bringing out a ten meter culvert pipe to our home. Just had to get done with the fish first….they are giving the pipe to us free. All we have to do is donate to the monastery the so much needed cold hard cash, so that it can pay some wages to all the people helping to work on it. That sounds like a fair deal to me and Sveta has already sent a donation to Father Pavel…

So, I believe that I may just take a walk and see what is happening around the village this morning. You never know….I might just find a super duper Soviet heater?

That my teenage memories of picking a young gal up for a date (and after meeting her dad), filling the fuel tank on my car, eat at McDonald’s for two, go to the movies, buy popcorn – candy – drink for two, go to the county fair after the movie, all for less than five bucks (and I still had enough money to grab two bean burritos from Taco Bell after getting that gal home by 10 p.m. to keep her dad happy)…

If someone had said to me that one day that “$5 Dollars” would hardly buy a Big Mac!

I would have thought that they were stupid…

I have to say that there has been all kinds of speculation on Ukraine’s gas transit system and deliveries through this country. I would like to reiterate that under the contract we have to pump 40 billion cubic metres of gas through Ukraine’s gas transit system per year. In the first nine months of 2021, Gazprom increased its supplies, or should I say transit volumes through Ukraine, by more than eight percent. We have every right to believe that we will exceed our contractual obligations in terms of gas transit through Ukraine. Further increasing these volumes does not make economic sense for Gazprom, since costs will also be higher. It is much cheaper to supply gas using the new pipelines, saving us about $3 billion per year for the supply volumes in question. In addition, I would like to inform those who actually care about preserving the environment, instead of just using this as a political weapon, that the new pipelines that were launched over the past years or are about to become operational can reduce CO2 emissions 5.6 times thanks to their new equipment. Accordingly, supply volumes go up, while emissions go down. Mainly what has to be remembered is that the Ukraine gas pipeline is at max for its age and ability to safely carry gas. Ukraine has failed to upgrade its pipeline over the years and now it is a ticking time bomb waiting for the mistake to happen…

You should have all facts before pointing fingers and blaming all others…
