We discussed with you the need to punish scoundrels, including cultural figures who support the Nazis, pour dirt on our country, soldiers and officers participating in the SVO.

A bill has been developed that will allow the confiscation of money, valuables or other property used or intended to finance criminal activities against the security of the Russian Federation, as well as, by court decision, the deprivation of honorary titles for the following crimes:

📌 dissemination of deliberately false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code);

📌 public calls for extremist activities (Article 280 of the Criminal Code);

📌 public calls for actions aimed at violating the integrity of the Russian Federation (Article 280.1 of the Criminal Code);

📌 public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code);

📌 public calls for activities directed against the security of the state (Article 280.4 of the Criminal Code);

📌 calls for the introduction of sanctions against the Russian Federation and its citizens (Article 284.2 of the Criminal Code);

📌 providing assistance in the execution of decisions of international organizations in which the Russian Federation does not participate, or foreign government bodies (Article 284.3 of the Criminal Code);

📌 rehabilitation of Nazism (Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code).

Anyone who tries to destroy Russia, betrays it, must suffer a well-deserved punishment and compensate for the damage caused to the country at the expense of their property.

The bill will be submitted to the State Duma on Monday.

On January 20 , Republic Day is celebrated annually in Crimea. The holiday date coincides with the historic referendum of 1991, in which the absolute majority of Crimeans voted for the restoration of Crimean autonomy.

Interesting Facts:

1️⃣ Crimea has been connected with Russia for centuries. In 988–989, Grand Duke Vladimir Svyatoslavovich converted to Christianity in Tauride Chersonese. On April 19, 1783, Empress Catherine II signed a manifesto on the admission of Crimea to the Russian Empire.

2️⃣ The Crimean Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic as part of the RSFSR was created in 1921, in 1945 it was deprived of its autonomous status and transformed into the Crimean region. In 1954, Crimea was included in the Ukrainian SSR, while the first secretary of the Crimean regional committee of the CPSU P.I. Titov opposed it, for which he was removed from his post.

3️⃣ The referendum on January 20, 1991 on the issue of re-establishing the Crimean Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic was the first plebiscite in the history of the USSR. The question was put to a general vote: “Are you in favor of re-establishing the Crimean Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic as a subject of the USSR and a party to the Union Treaty?” 93% of the inhabitants of the peninsula voted for autonomy. In the same year, a law was passed on the restoration of the Crimean Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

4️⃣ The All-Crimean referendum of 1991 was the first attempt to determine the fate of Crimea based on the will of its inhabitants themselves. In many ways, it was the 1991 plebiscite that became the starting point for the reunification of the peninsula with Russia in 2014.

5️⃣ Republic Day was established in 2009, and in 2014, after the reunification of Crimea with Russia, it was included in the regional law “On holidays and memorable dates in the Republic of Crimea”.

6️⃣ On March 18, 2014, Russian President V.V. Putin and the leaders of Crimea and Sevastopol signed an Agreement on the admission of the Republic of Crimea to the Russian Federation. This event was predetermined by the outcome of the referendum on the status of Crimea, which took place on March 16, 2014. As a result of the plebiscite , 96% of voters voted for the return of the peninsula to Russia.

Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation (20 January 2024)

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

In Kupyansk direction, as a result of active actions by artillery and units of the Zapad Group of Forces, ten attacks by assault groups of 30th, 32nd, and 60th mechanised, 57th motorised infantry brigades and the 103rd Territorial Defence Brigade of the AFU have been repelled close to Sinkovka, Krakhmalnoye (Kharkov region) and Terny (Donetsk People’s Republic).

The enemy losses were up to 150 Ukrainian servicemen and two motor vehicles.

In Krasny Liman direction, units of the Tsentr Group of Forces, supported by artillery, have repelled four attacks by assault groups of the 63rd Mechanised Brigade, the 12th Special Forces Brigade, and the 5th Brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard near Grigorovka (Donetsk People’s Republic) and Chervonaya Dibrova (Lugansk People’s Republic).

The enemy losses were up to 280 soldiers, two armoured fighting vehicles, seven motor vehicles, and one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery crew.

In Donetsk direction, units of the Yug Group of Forces, supported by artillery, have repelled four attacks by assault groups of 24th mechanised and 81st airmobile brigades of the AFU near Shumy and Belogorovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).
Artillery have defeated manpower and hardware of 22nd, 28th, and 93rd mechanised brigades of the AFU close to Kleshcheevka, Kurdyumovka, and Chasov Yar (Donetsk People’s Republic).

The enemy losses were up to 320 servicemen killed and wounded, six pickup trucks, one Msta-B howitzer, as well as one D-20 cannon.

In South Donetsk direction, units of the Vostok Group of Forces, in cooperation with artillery and heavy flamethrower systems, have repelled two attacks by assault groups of the 127th Air Defence Brigade near Rovnopol (Donetsk People’s Republic), and also have inflicted fire damage on manpower of the 79th Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Konstantinovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

The enemy losses were up to 95 troops, three motor vehicles, as well as two Akatsiya self-propelled artillery systems.

In Zaporozhye direction, units of the Russian Group of Forces, supported by aviation and artillery, have defeated manpower and hardware of 65th, 117th mechanised, 82nd air assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Nesteryanka, Rabotino, and Verbovoye (Zaporozhye region).

The enemy losses were up to 30 servicemen killed and wounded, two armoured fighting vehicles, as well as one D-30 cannon.

In Kherson direction, as a result of coordinated actions by Russian troops and artillery, the enemy losses were up to 35 servicemen, two motor vehicles, as well as one U.S.-manufactured  M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery system.

Operational-Tactical Aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralised one German-manufactured IRIS-T radar station, as well as have engaged manpower and hardware in 118 areas.

Air defence facilities have shot down 20 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as one HIMARS projectile close to Lisichansk (Lugansk People’s Republic), Bogdanovka, Belogorovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Kazachyi Lagerya, Golaya Pristan (Kherson region).

In total, 567 airplanes and 265 helicopters, 10,914 unmanned aerial vehicles, 450 air defence missile systems, 14,705 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 1,202 combat vehicles equipped with MRLS, 7,795 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 17,641 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

Putin follows the Orthodox ways and has no qualms doing it. It is as I say, “Putin doing what Putin does”…

That means he does what is good for Russia…
