💬 On January 13 we will celebrate Russian Press Day . It was this date that was marked by the release of the first Russian newspaper “Vedomosti about military and other affairs worthy of knowledge and memory that happened in the Moscow state and in other surrounding countries.” It was published in 1703 by decree of Peter I. With the publication of this publication, the formation of a highly professional journalistic community in our country began. Today, the official register of Roskomnadzor includes over 153 thousand media outlets .
I would like to congratulate all journalists, editors, publishers, proofreaders, designers, layout designers and other specialists involved in the creation of newspapers and magazines, as well as those working in digital media, on their professional holiday. The highest level of professionalism, the ability to quickly adapt to constantly changing, sometimes difficult working conditions, including being at the forefront of the information front , next to the military personnel of the Russian Army – this is what characterizes our media.
Despite unprecedented sanctions pressure and numerous censorship restrictions from governments pursuing destructive policies towards our country, domestic journalists continue to persistently convey the truth and have been able to develop new formats of communication with audiences both within our country and with compatriots abroad.
I am now addressing journalists: by actively mastering advanced technologies, increasing the efficiency and objectivity of coverage of events in the country and in the world, you are performing another, no less important task – ensuring dialogue between society and authorities, contributing to the formation of moral and ideological guidelines.
We appreciate your work, express our deep gratitude for your dedication to your work and wish you further success and new achievements in the journalistic field. Inexhaustible inspiration, good health and prosperity!
