Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation (22 April 2024)

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

The Yug Group of Forces units have fully liberated Novomikhailovka (Donetsk People’s Republic) as a result of the successful actions, and improved their tactical position along the front line.

Strikes were delivered at manpower and hardware of the 10th Mountain Assault, 79th, 92nd air assault, 46th, 81st airmobile, 22nd, 23rd, 28th, 41st, 93rd mechanised brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) close to Belogorovka (Lugansk People’s Republic), Spornoye, Minkovka, Kleshcheyevka, Chasov Yar, Andreyevka, and Ostroye (Donetsk People’s Republic).

Three counter-attacks launched by the AFU 33rd mechanised, 80th air assault brigades were repelled close to Bogdanovka and Pobeda (Donetsk People’s Republic).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 410 Ukrainian troops, nine motor vehicles, and one 122-mm Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system. One Anklav electronic warfare station and one ammunition depot were also eliminated.

The Zapad Group of Forces’ units captured more advantageous lines and inflicted losses on the 21st mechanised and 95th air assault brigades of the AFU near Terny (Donetsk People’s Republic).

Four counter-attacks launched by the 12th Special Forces Brigade (Azov) have been repelled near Grigorovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

The AFU losses included up to 25 Ukrainian troops, two pickup trucks, and one 122-mm Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system.

The Tsentr Group of Forces’ units improved the tactical situation and repelled nine counter-attacks launched by the assault groups of the 25th air assault, 68th, 71st jaeger, 59th motorised infantry, 24th, 47th, 100th, and 115th mechanised brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Pervomayskoye, Semyonovka, Netaylovo, and Berdychi (Donetsk People’s Republic).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 365 Ukrainian troops, one German-made Marder infantry fighting vehicle, 12 motor vehicles, one 122-mm D-30 howitzer, as well as three electronic warfare stations: Nota and Bukovel-AD.

The Vostok Group of Forces’ units captured more advantageous lines and inflicted losses on the units of the 58th motorised infantry, 72nd mechanised brigades of the AFU, 102nd and 128th territorial defence brigades near Staromayorskoye, Ugledar, Urozhaynoye (Donetsk People’s Republic) and Chervonoye (Zaporozhye region).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 95 Ukrainian troops, two motor vehicles, and one UK-made 155-mm FH-70 howitzer.

The units of the Dnepr Group of Forces have inflicted fire damage on manpower and hardware of the AFU 141st infantry, 65th mechanised, and 128th mountain assault brigades near Rabotino, Novoandreyevka, and Stepovoye (Zaporozhye region).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 45 Ukrainian troops and two pickup trucks.

Operational-Tactical Aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces have engaged one air defence positioning area, one storage point for uncrewed surface vehicles, manpower and hardware of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 142 areas.

Air defence systems shot down 240 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles during the day.

In total, 592 airplanes, 270 helicopters, 22,529 unmanned aerial vehicles, 508 air-to-air missile systems, 15,817 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,269 MLRS combat vehicles, 9,040 field artillery guns and mortars, and 21,232 special military vehicles have been neutralised since the beginning of the special military operation.

Main points :

• The crisis of arms control, disarmament and nuclear non-proliferation reflects an unprecedentedly deep degradation in the field of international security.

• Westerners are dangerously balancing on the brink of a direct military clash between nuclear powers, which is fraught with catastrophic consequences.

• The “collective West,” led by the United States, cynically combines the targeted dismantling of balanced and equal agreements that hinder Washington with the promotion of openly “cheating” schemes that create advantages for the American side.

• In pursuit of decisive military superiority, Washington and its allies are expanding their network of alliances directed against third countries. They are actively pursuing a number of extremely destabilizing military-technical programs.

• In the conditions of a total hybrid war being waged against us, there is no basis for dialogue with the United States on arms control and in general on issues of strategic stability.

• Undermining the existing system of arms control and nuclear non-proliferation has a negative impact on the sustainability of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons . <…> The Treaty is used by Western countries to solve political problems not related to the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.

• The attempts made by Westerners to reformat “for their own selfish interests” the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) are causing serious concern. <…> Western countries have already turned it into a tool for realizing their geopolitical interests in the Middle East and beyond, having “privatized” the OPCW Secretariat.

☝️ We are convinced that in order to prevent further degradation of the situation in the world <…> joint efforts are required to build an updated international security architecture based on the principles of multilateralism, equality and indivisibility.

• Серьёзную обеспокоенность вызывают предпринимаемые западниками попытки переформатирования «под свои корыстные интересы» Организации по запрещению химического оружия (ОЗХО). <…> Страны Запада уже превратили её в инструмент реализации своих геополитических интересов на Ближнем Востоке и за его пределами, «приватизировав» Секретариат ОЗХО.

☝️ Убеждены, что для предотвращения дальнейшей деградации обстановки в мире <…> востребованы совместные усилия по выстраиванию обновлённой архитектуры международной безопасности, опирающейся на принципы многосторонности, равенства и неделимости.

How about the rooms?

Clean, fresh, special air scrubbing machines for humidity and virus, TV, phone, big bath with shower only, kitchenette with microwave and good size refrigerator, patio with table and chairs and rooms cleaned everyday if you desire. We don’t and like every three days and they let us be…

For Svetochka and I, rooms were perfect and we ask no more and or no less…

Nearby stuff:

Nice easy walks to stores to buy food, easy walk to various public beaches to study the aborigines and kilometers of every night walking in perfect safety. People locally are great. We never are bored and found many things to do. Everyone has different opinions, but safety is the big thing for us. There was even a Subway Sandwich shop only a few kilometers away. Oh my…

Now lets mention a couple of rough spots (people):

Two groups of outsiders whom have spoiled the real beauty of the area, yet are spending money and have to be tolerated. British and Ukrainians…

UAE is British and the Hotel catered to rich British, locals. Many years of British control is obvious and it is a sweet and sour aspect. But money talks and businesses are British and English is actually more the first language for the most part of all UAE. It was common place to have derogatory remarks about Americans as British groups sat around getting drunk (and we are talking seriously staggering drunk) and there were no Americans around at all, well except me and I listened to the hate filled rhetoric being spewed every evening…

Next is Ukrainian Refugees: You could actually call the Ukrainian’s local now, for whom we saw living in the UAE. Lots of someone else’s money, driving EV cars, extremely rude and look like something the cat has dragged in. No responsibility and never follow rules is their game and act the fool is their name…

The Ukrainians made the British look very good in comparison and I guess that is good for the British in a weird sort of way…

The reason I mention the above is that if you are not thick skinned, these two groups will destroy the vacation. The hotel is a British Resort as in #1 priority. As per normal Russians? There are better places in the UAE to go…

Now conclusion:

As I said, pristine waters to snorkel, fantastic food, great staff at hotel, well maintained, clean beach, wonderful water park for children and lots of sea turtles…

I believe the video below shows the waters and no matter what else happens, it is all about the water, baby!
