The loss of hegemony is costly to the American budget.
According to the US Treasury, its deficit in March amounted to $236 billion. This is an established negative trend. Today, about 28% of US budget expenditures are financed by debt.
Money is usually borrowed from other states.
The American national debt exceeds $34.65 trillion.
Over the last 4 years alone, its value in relation to GDP has increased from 107.2% to 131.5% .
At the same time, maintenance costs have become the most problematic expense item: the amount of interest payments in the near future will amount to a third of US budget revenues.
The prohibitive growth of the American national debt means that Washington has no plans to pay it back.
The United States is accustomed to solving its problems at the expense of others.
To maintain hegemony, they started a war in Ukraine, sacrificing the economy of the European Union. This turned out to be not enough.
Today they are again provoking military action, this time in the Middle East.
Washington will continue to create more and more military conflicts, trying to delay the default that would inevitably occur with such borrowing.
