I am very weary and leery of low-quality global and international firmware on Western smartphones. As a result, I will only use full Chinese based and written firmware…

Smartphones each have several models of each phone, sometimes within even the same software. But the big issue is where the phone is shipped to? That determines what software you get, even while the phone is most of the time hardware identical to every other version made like it, the software is not the same…

When you buy a smartphone? Look at the model number and crosscheck it on the internet. You really do not want to buy an ATT and or Verizon phone made for the USA and you live in Mongolia…

It is a big issue and it is what causes so many USA’ians to gripe about so called Chinese versions vs so called Chinese made USA versions. Not all software is equal and even some hardware will change at times. South Korea is a great example of a country that makes phones just for South Korea…

Therefore, a USA phone is made to work the best in the weird phone system of the USA and then we have global systems and then we have singular systems. Such as Chinese only software, Korean software, EU software and yes even Russian (RU) software. But as a side note, Russian software also is many times Chinese software for phones and thus Russia is a good source for utilizing Chinese software for phones and that means I am able to convert phones easily for the most part. Heaven forbid getting an USA ATT phone and trying to make it better! Don’t happen easily, Suzy Q…

Yet, I just took a Global ROM Huawei nova 9 and installed HarmonyOS on it and it was because Huawei allowed that to happen. I just happen to find the correct article that did not get censored by the Western media system and discovered an article that Huawei made one download of HarmonyOS 2 for the nova 9 available and I grabbed it faster than a kitty after catnip…

Huawei_Nova_9_NAM-LX9_102.0.1.228_EXPC636E2R3P1_Firmware_HarmonyOS_2.0.1_05017YWK_Dload

The above non link is just so you can search and find the exact software to convert your nova 9 (NAM-LX9) to HarmonyOS, except if you already updated to (has to be on EMUI 12) EMUI 13, then no go, Suzy Q… (degrade??) This is a rare opportunity to properly convert a nasty Global ROM into a Sweet HarmonyOS ROM…

By the way: I do not give a damn about Google and Google Apps. The less Google the better your life will be and the safer you will be and I know. You want a fantastic ecosystem that matches Google in every way? Then the Huawei system is for you and it is minus a bunch of nasty western spyware. But if you love your Google and iOS? Then by all means, keep using your iPhone and your Samsung made for the USA by China, Vietnam, India and whatnot’s, but “not made” in the USA…

Therefore:

I work hard to know about the phone I would buy and I want to make sure that the hardware and software are fully interchangeable with each other and not locked into a hodgepodge manipulated mess of a coverup. The Chinese to sell phones, will put anything on these phones that companies like ATT tell them to and China does not care. So many times this ATT software is a nemesis against your phone and you never see the true potential of you cellphone you just spent $1000 plus dollars on. This factor is why you can buy a basic Android Chinese phone and find that a $100 phone does everything that $1000 phone does. Okay, granted that $1000 phone has a great camera. Really it does, but does it make better phone calls?

That is what I thought…

Umidigi – way under $100 ($68 as I write this article)

or this…

iPhone – $1000 +

Yes, I have an Umidigi and it is in Britain right now. Old phone and still going. Sveta gave away my best phone at the time it happened…

Umidigi A3 Pro…

Had to install new battery in my faithful Huawei Mate 30…

The Mate 30 battery got old and I decided that it was time to look up battery prices for my Huawei Mate 30 and I found new Huawei batteries for just the equivalent to a few bucks. literally just two or three dollars. I grabbed one and in a few days it came on our OZON

Replaced the battery and found a roughed up cable that is called, “Main Motherboard Connector Flex Cable” and it took an extra 9 days to get that. That cable was torn and the phone started, but something was not right. So I pinpointed it down to this cable. I believe that I am the culprit that hurt this cable. I have clumsy fingers and terrible eyes for close up work. 🙁

Yet regardless, last night I was able to put my Mate 30 back together and it fired up and works perfectly. Just like I never had an issue. So now my old old Mate 30 is back on duty…

** As a side note: I had to use my Huawei nova 9 and while I was playing with it, I discovered how to remove the Global Firmware and install HarmonyOS 2 upon it. It will only stay at number 2, but oh I am so happy to have another clean and safe phone from Google. Just a tidbit for anyone who cares… **

Huawei Mate 30 is simply perfect and unbelievable…

HarmonyOS – Huawei Mate 30, finally got it…

Huawei Mate 30: Living without Google is so easy and so much better…

Huawei’s HarmonyOS what I think as a daily user…

The Huawei Mate 30 just got HarmonyOS 4 and Huawei has been at this point updated my phone way over a dozen times and it gets better each update. HarmonyOS is really better than Android and I am waiting for the 100% non-android connection. This is called HarmonyOS Next and it is coming…

https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/07/12/huawei-harmonyos-next-developer-beta-second-phase/

I keep my fingers crossed that I get this completely born new and totally separate OS away from the Western Eco-System…

But, my Huawei Mate 30 is getting old and grey haired and yet, she has outlasted almost every phone I have ever had… 🙂
