Again -12 this morning and sipping coffee.

I was not the only one who thought it was cold yesterday morning in the Tiny Russian Village (TRV)!

I went walking and it was around -10 at that time. Not frosty, too dry of an air, but still beautifully calm damn cold…

I was walking along the old river bed of our river and noticing that there are deer tacks and deer droppings all over. Then I saw way in the distance, something that did not look like the surrounding area. I thought to myself, “Self, that is something red and what is red out here?”

I used 10X zoom and while it could have been much better if I had held the camera still. I suspected what I took a picture of would soon and I mean soon realize that a big mean bear was around…

Yes you can see the ears facing my way. I call that, their radar is on alert…

I snapped a few pictures and my stupid phone made a shutter sound. Why oh why? I have since turned that off. The sound carried like a lightning bolt in the crisp air and…

The fox, I swear….jumped ten feet in the air and literally walked on air as I gawked like a little kid in astonishment. He bee lined to the river nearby and never to be found again…

I thought about Boza and all the times he chased deer and foxes across this same field. Boza was fast like that also, in his prime. Now he chases them in my imagination. 😉

But I like to walk as quietly as I can as I explore. You never know what you will find?

So this morning I got up at 3:30 a.m. and found it as blistering cold as yesterday. So I am posting this and looking at Coronavirus news…

Then in a little while, I will walk again and try to find my foxy friend…
