The EU still decided to set a price ceiling of $60 for Russian oil. What will happen now?
In general, everything that happens in Europe is reminiscent of stupidity and suicide…
Here, according to the Polish diplomat, you see, Poland agreed to the EU to set the price ceiling at $60 per barrel. At the same time, the Polish concerned businesses applied for the supply of 3 million tons of oil from Russia via the Druzhba oil pipeline in 2023… (?)
From December 5, the EU imposes an embargo on the sea supplies of our oil. And a ban on its transportation and insurance for countries that will not join the embargo. But the fact is that countries do not buy our oil, companies buy it. For example, in the Baltic ports, the oil traders mix Russian oil with Norwegian oil in a ratio of 49 to 51 and sells it to European companies. Becomes much more expensive…
Moreover, officially, oil is almost never transported from Russia to Europe by sea. Volume fell to 770,000 b/d in October from 1.6 million b/d in January. But the volume of deliveries to Italy has doubled, to Bulgaria – 4 times – they simply have no choice…
Where did the Russian oil go? It is known where – to India and China. In November, India bought about 40% of all export volumes of our Urals oil transported by sea, ahead of other countries. And yes, again, this is not the government, but Indian companies. This is what the Minister of Energy of India told the American media…
In the Mediterranean, Turkey has become the main buyer of Urals oil, accounting for 15% of offshore supplies. Those. The EU is already buying our oil at a premium from Turkey, India and also from Egypt. Another thing is ridiculous, the US made it clear to the Indians that they can continue to buy Russian oil without limiting prices, if they do not use the services of European companies. Other words, EU is the target…
Most likely, the United States, which has so far refused to buy Russian oil, except on the open seas mixing plan, when the European insanity fixes the ceiling, the USA themselves will resume buying our oil or oil products for their market, and Europeans will be offered more expensive American supplies of both oil and products from it. Just like China and India and others are doing…
In the meantime, the volume of oil products from Russia to Europe is not only not decreasing, but, on the contrary, is growing! Particularly diesel fuel. From November 1 to November 24, the EU and the UK received almost 50% of their diesel fuel imports from Russia, and precisely by sea. Dependence on Russian diesel has skyrocketed since October. Then the EU and England significantly increased purchases due to strikes that disabled French oil refining facilities. And people are on strike there because of rising prices in France, which are a direct consequence of the increase in tariffs for electricity and gas.
And, yes, the funny thing is: on February 5, 2023, the EU will stop seaborne imports of diesel fuel and other petroleum products from Russia…
Do you understand anything?
