Official word so far is:
In the village of Zarya Svoboda, Saraevsky District, on Monday, April 26, after lunch, the grass caught fire. Fire brigades left for the village at 15.13. In addition to them, fire trucks from the forestry, the “Para” fish farm came to extinguish them. In total, 6 pieces of equipment worked on the fire.
The fire spread very quickly over the area and soon covered a large area, and at the same time two houses, of which practically nothing remained. The burned-out area is 2 hectares.
“The fire started with dry grass,” says Alexei Nikanorov, senior inspector of the supervisory department. – It is too early to talk about its reasons, a check is being carried out, but it is possible that the human factor is to blame. If the involvement of people is confirmed, then the culprit will have to answer before the law to the fullest extent. The punishment will depend on the damage caused. If that amount is more than 250 thousand rubles, this is already Article 168 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Destruction or damage to property by negligence), which provides for a punishment of up to 2 years in prison. ”
By the afternoon of Tuesday, April 27, the conflagrations were still smoking and in some places even tongues of flame were breaking through.
