🗓 February 17 is the Day of Russian Student Teams (the date was set on February 21, 2015 by Decree of the President of the
Federation No. 86). The holiday is part of a series of events dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the movement of student groups in Russia, as well as the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the all-Russian youth public organization “Russian Student Teams” .
“Russian Student Teams” are considered the legal successor of the All-Union Student Construction Team (founded in 1959), whose members participated in the largest construction projects in the country: BAM, KAMAZ, Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP, Moscow Metro.
More than 20 million people have become graduates of student teams, including the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S.V. Lavrov (during his studies at MGIMO he took part in the activities of construction teams in Khakassia, Tuva, and the Far East East, in Yakutia), Moscow Mayor S.S. Sobyanin and many others.
ℹ️ In modern Russia, student teams took part in the construction of facilities for the XXII Winter Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi, nuclear power plants, cosmodromes, and gas pipelines.
The main celebrations of the Day of Russian Student Teams take place these days on the territory of VDNKh in Moscow as part of the international exhibition and forum “Russia” in the format of the career forum “Work is Cool”. The event venues will be visited by more than 10 thousand guests – schoolchildren, students and young professionals from Russian regions, as well as friendly countries. In addition, career forum events are planned in another 65 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

🗓 17 февраля отмечается День Российских студенческих отрядов (дата установлена 21 февраля 2015 года Указом Президента Российской Федерации № 86). Праздник входит в цикл мероприятий, посвященных 65-летию движения студенческих отрядов России, а также 20-летию учреждения молодежной общероссийской общественной организации «Российские Студенческие Отряды».
«Российские Студенческие Отряды» считаются правопреемником Всесоюзного студенческого строительного отряда (основан в 1959 году), члены которого участвовали в крупнейших стройках страны: БАМ, КАМАЗ, Саяно-Шушенская ГЭС, Московский метрополитен.
Выпускниками студенческих отрядов стали более 20 миллионов человек, в том числе Президент Российской Федерации В.В.Путин и Министр иностранных дел Российской Федерации С.В.Лавров (в годы учебы в МГИМО принимал участие в деятельности стройотрядов в Хакасии, в Туве, на Дальнем Востоке, в Якутии), Мэр Москвы С.С.Собянин и многие другие.
ℹ️ В современной России студенческие отряды принимали участие в строительстве объектов XXII Зимних Олимпийских игр 2014 года в Сочи, атомных электростанций, космодромов, газопроводов.
Основные празднования Дня Российских студенческих отрядов проходят в эти дни на территории ВДНХ в Москве в рамках международной выставки-форума «Россия» в формате карьерного форума «Труд крут». Площадки мероприятия посетят более 10 тысяч гостей – это школьники, студенты и молодые специалисты из регионов России, а также дружественных стран. Кроме того, события карьерного форума намечены еще в 65 субъектах Российской Федерации.
