So I installed that last dash repair item and now no matter what I do. The gauge reads backwards. Thus, E is Full and F is Empty. The gauge reads very accurately and when it is pegged on E it reall is perfectly full. Then when it hits F? It really is empty…
I refuse to buy a special device that will correct it all. Why? Because the gauge works too good and all we have to do is accept that it is backwards…
After lots of digging and working, I have discovered that the sensor has actually reversed polarity when the dash blew up with the massive power surge. Somehow it actually reversed. Yes, I can buy a new sensor. But, it works so good and Sammy the Volga seems happy…
We decided to simply leave it alone… 😉
