The regular Flu is a killer and has always been a killer of humans….yet I see no panic media about “The Flue”…
Seasonal flu kills 291,000 to 646,000 people worldwide each year, according to a new estimate that’s higher than the previous one of 250,000 to 500,000 deaths a year.The new figures from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other groups were published Dec. 13 in The Lancet medical journal.The updated numbers, which do not include deaths during flu pandemics, are based on more recent data from a larger and more diverse group of countries than the previous estimate, the CDC said.

But…
Coronaviruses are a group of viruses that cause diseases in mammals, including humans, and birds. In humans, the virus causes respiratory infections which are typically mild but, in rare cases, can be lethal. In cows and pigs they may cause diarrhea, while in chickens it can cause an upper respiratory disease.

So I am confused when I look at Flu related issues…
In total, the CDC estimates that up to 42.9 million people got sick during the 2018-2019 flu season, 647,000 people were hospitalized and 61,200 died. That’s fairly on par with a typical season, and well below the CDC’s 2017-2018 estimates of 48.8 million illnesses, 959,000 hospitalizations and 79,400 deaths.

So to my understanding we have many die from the regular Flu, yet we do not panic about that. Yet, we do panic about the Coronaviruses….which seem to be milder overall when compared to the Flu…
To add to my confusion…
Almost everyone gets a coronavirus infection at least once in their life, most likely as a young child. In the United States, coronaviruses are more common in the fall and winter, but anyone can come down with a coronavirus infection at any time.

Therefore, I am not understanding and not finding real and conclusive information to tell anyone what the Hell is going on…
At least 80 people have died in China due to the deadly infection, with over 2,700 cases confirmed in the country. At the moment, medical authorities have placed several cities on lockdown, while numerous countries are introducing measures to stop the spread of the disease.
“At the moment, we have identified more than 100 people who have clinical signs of an infectious disease, and at the same time have a history of visiting China. Each of them was identified promptly, isolated, placed in a hospital in a boxed ward, and fully examined. In each case, the aetiology of infectious disease has been established”, head of the Russian consumer protection agency Rospotrebnadzor Olga Popova stated on Monday.
She also expressed hope that a vaccine against the coronavirus would be created soon, adding that at least two Russian laboratories are currently working to develop one.
But: Shouldn’t the whole world be locked down for the FLU? (If we use anything I see on media as a base for locking down cities…)
Thus, I will wait and watch and try to understand what is happening and why is this virus much more important that regular Flu?
Maybe I am just stupid or something. We wear masks and a standard face mask is not able to come even near stopping a virus from passing through. The regular flu kills a whole bunch of people every year, after year….

The latest hype and misinformation coming out of our latest Code Orange emergency preparedness is about a disposable dollar mask made with white cloth and an elastic strap – the N95. Sold at medical supply and hardware stores, they’re the lightweight, nose-and-mouth respirators designed for medical settings and good for blocking allergens when mowing the lawn. Which begs the question: Can a mowing aid fend off a weapon of mass destruction? How effective would they be in a biological, chemical or nuclear

Yet we are buying the N95 masks like they are going out of style and in fact they are out of stock and in fact they have been going for 1000% more than they are worth. That is panic buying…
And the N95 mask that everyone is buying is actually called an “Air Pollution Mask”…

Your ass is grass if you are exposed to a virus and you think that a N95 mask will stop it and or even hinder its movement. A virus is too damn small….you need a mask and suit like what you see the guy wearing. Got any of those outfits? I don’t and I bet you don’t either. But they will be glad to sell you a two cent N95 mask for $10+ and you can walk around and feel better…
Wonder how long a filter system will last. they did not last very long when I was in the military and you started to suffocate very fast as they clogged up with dust and particulates….(Then there is that issue of changing filters while trying to keep from getting the virus?)
Whatever and we will just watch and see what happens!
I guess I am just stupid or something like that. But we seem to be in the middle of a dog and pony show and a possible disaster at the same time…
