Just been busy in the Tiny Russian Village…

Very hot this morning. The cold and hot front are fighting out over who wins and humidity and an inversion has set in…

Yet yesterday, I stayed drenched in sweat, battled horseflies and did major work on the back porch. Safety and weather proofing it…

The sunflower girls are just enjoying life and they demand lots of water at this time. When they flower they need water….I reach 2.5 meters easily and the girls are trying for three meters now….I suspect I planted Russian Mammoths and by keeping them close together, it has helped keep things under control…

I went and got water from the well and as always, full yesterday and almost empty today….a family came in and they bucket brigade the well and emptied it. 🙁 They washed three cars, filled their water barrels, watered the garden, washed everything in the homes, had a water bucket fight (tossed water at each other) and then had the gall and got into an argument (and demanded) with the well filler and did I say, demanded the well filled again….it was over flowing that very morning, before they showed up…

I grabbed what I could this morning and hope that they fill the well again. I am smart after all these years, keep lots of water handy…

What upsets me is when these city people bring the tribe and fill swimming pools and wash all their cars…

Water is life blood and they waste it….to a city person, the water is like electricity, just is, because it just is and no thoughts as to your greedy actions when you waste it…

“Pa, the faucet is dry!”
