🎙 Commentary by M.V. Zakharova in connection with the US refusal to issue visas to the Russian delegation to the IAEA International Ministerial Conference “Nuclear Energy in the 21st Century”
🔹 The United States 🇺🇸 again showed duplicity and demonstrated arrogant disregard for the principles of work of international organizations, which provide for non-discriminatory and equal partnership of their participants.
🔹 The United States never issued visas to the Russian delegates – despite the fact that the relevant applications were submitted by them in advance in the prescribed manner.
🔹 The norms enshrined in the Agreement between the IAEA and the state hosting the event under the auspices of the Agency, with obligations to provide the necessary conditions for participation in meetings convened in accordance with the Agency’s mandate, have been grossly violated.
