“We want television screens in the West to be showing not only Russian tanks and saying Russia is at war in South Ossetia and with Georgia, but also to be showing the suffering of the Ossetian people, the murdered elderly people and children, the destroyed towns of South Ossetia, and [regional capital] Tskhinvali. So forget the front page coverage of truth in Western (USA) Media. The Government controls the media!
By the way to clarify something: I consider Western media to be from the USA side of the world. The media that is from Europe has a different tone to it, than the far West media. So when I say East and West media I use the Atlantic Ocean as a dividing line. Remember Russia is considered part of Europe…… (well some times!)

Once again I have to continue to moderate comments and I never should have to do that, but seems that from the American side of the world we have a desire to express ourselves with colorful verbalizations that have no reason or place on a public blog.I consider this to be an example of American mentality…
We have readers from all over the world and even if our readers from Ukraine and Georgia do not like what we say they do not express themselves in a vulgar way. I even have an American from Ukraine that does not like what I say, but he at least shows the intelligence to write civilized.
Out of around 30 comments I could only post about 5 or 6. These comments have been from this side of the world and they are respectable.
What is a Internet Troll?
The term derives from “trolling”, a style of fishing which involves trailing bait through a likely spot hoping for a bite. The troll posts a message, often in response to an honest question, that is intended to upset, disrupt or simply insult the group. (This group does not cuss!)
So comment moderation will stay in effect forever, We just do not like colorful explicits gracing our front page comment section.

‘Bombed’ Tblisi airport welcomes foreign ministers:
Pictures broadcast all over the world on Sunday show Georgian officials greeting French and Finnish foreign ministers arriving at Tbilisi International airport. The images showed no sign of damage to the building or its airstrips. Earlier, Georgia claimed Russian planes bombed the capital’s airport.
In another development, the Georgian government has backtracked on an earlier accusation that Russian planes bombed two military bases near Tblisi overnight. A new statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs says that bombs were dropped on uninhabited areas.
Russia insists its airforce has only attacked military targets. (Link)
Bet CNN does not print this either. All Western media is now at the Bad Russia, poor Georgia stage and seem to be stuck in that mode.
Now be watching for Ukraine to be flapping their mouths and waving their arms. Ukraine loves the Western world as much as Georgia……. (Next up poor Ukraine)

No wonder the US Department of Education has its indoctrination factories ignore geography. How many American realize that the country of Georgia borders Russia? For years, as part of its “great game,” the US has been arming and training Georgian troops – and profiting the US military-industrial complex – at the expense of the American taxpayer. I wonder how Republican jingoes and other neocons would feel about Russia arming and training Mexican troops?

The US of Regime Change accuses the Russians of wanting…regime change in Georgia. Writes a friend: “This whole article is worth reading. Rich in irony and good for more than a couple laughs, but here’s the money quote from Russia’s UN representative, Vitaly Churkin, to US ambassador to the United Nations, Zalmay Khalilzad:
“Churkin reacted angrily at the suggestion that Russia was guilty of terrorizing Georgians. ‘This statement, ambassador, is completely unacceptable, particularly from the lips of the permanent representative of a country whose actions we are aware of, including with regard to the civilian populations in Iraq and Afghanistan and Serbia,” Churkin told the council.”

Georgian Interior Ministry spokesman Shota Utiashvili said on Sunday that Georgian forces had fully withdrawn from the separatist province.
However, a spokesman for the peacekeeping command told RIA Novosti: “This statement is a lie, just like [Georgian President Mikheil] Saakashvili’s statement on the impossibility of using military force in conflict zones.”
American says U.S. and Georgia to answer for violence in South Ossetia
Joe Mestas, American citizen living in South Ossetia, who witnessed everything that happening in the region, talked to RT and blamed U.S. and Georgian leaders for the outbreak of violence.
“I thought that since U.S. is supporting Georgia there would be some control over the situation in South Ossetia and that there would be a peaceful solution to the conflict. But what is happening there now it’s not just war, but war crimes. George Bush and [Georgian president] Mikhail Saakashvili should answer to the crimes that are being committed – the killing of innocent people, running over by tanks of children and women, throwing grenades into cellars where people are hiding,” Joe Mestas said.
“The war is when military fight against military. But the Georgina army is killing innocent civilians. This is genocide,” he added.

Russia Ready to Negotiate
Russia declared itself ready to make peace with Georgia and U.N. officials confirmed Sunday that Georgia is prepared to negotiate with Russia by withdrawing troops from the breakaway province of South Ossetia and creating a safe travel zone.
As far as I can tell Georgia has not pulled out of South Ossetia area yet!
Georgia move fails to halt raids
Russian raids on Georgia continue despite Tbilisi’s announcement of a ceasefire, after Moscow says clashes in breakaway South Ossetia are continuing.
Russia will not stop until Georgia leaves. Georgia can not be trusted.

Dead Mercenaries Found in Tskhinvali
Authorities in the unrecognized republic of South Ossetia claim that dark-skinned mercenaries took part in the attack on Tskhinvali, reports RIA Novosti, citing representative of the South Ossetian president in Russia Dmitry Medoev. He said there were bodies of many Georgian soldiers on the streets on Tskhinvali. “There were blacks among the dead, who were probably either mercenaries or instructors in the Georgian armed forces,” Medoev said.
