Shocked Vladimir Putin Slowly Realizing He Didn’t Conspire With Trump Campaign…

MOSCOW—Saying that he had been “totally blindsided” by the revelations from the recently released findings of the Mueller investigation, a shocked Vladimir Putin reportedly came to the realization Tuesday that he didn’t conspire with Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign after all. “What the hell? I worked so hard on this—if I wasn’t colluding with the Trump campaign, who the hell was I colluding with?” said the dumbfounded Russian president, growing increasingly angry as he scrolled through his email inbox and recounted his numerous efforts at covert communication with individuals who he had thought were high-ranking Trump officials, but now he suspected were bots or anonymous internet trolls. “Man, it seemed so legit. I can’t believe I let myself get conned like this. I spent so much time emailing back and forth with DonaldTrump46@hotmail.com about compromising the democratic voting process, and now it turns out it was all fake? And we spent so much time gathering all that kompromat on the wrong people. Goddammit, I feel like I’ve wasted my life.” At press time, Putin was frantically double-checking that Russia had assisted in propping up a dictator in Syria and not some other country.

Russian Recipe: Pasta with bell peppers

Here is a popular recipe with the Russians. This really hits the spot on a cold winter night and it gives lots of carbohydrates to have energy to burn when the temperature plummets. While it is not a Russian original it is a Russian style favorite and so lets make Pasta with Bell Peppers…

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of pasta noodles (tagliatelle, spaghetti, linguini or anything that is pasta)
  • 4 bell type peppers of each color (green, red, yellow, orange)
  • 2 to 3 oz of sliced black olives (or green if you prefer)
  • 250 grams feta cheese – chopped
  • 2 cloves or fingers of garlic – chopped
  • 6 fresh sprigs of basil
  • 4 pinches of dried oregano
  • 100 ml 100% pure salad type olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Designed for serving 4 people…

Cut the bell peppers into long vertical slices…

Peel and chop the garlic…

Add half of the olive oil to a non stick skillet…

Heat but not fry the bell peppers in the olive oil. Do not turn up heat more than to warm, not fry!

Add the chopped garlic…

Add the oregano…

Stir, without removing from the low heat for 2 minutes, then simmer over very low heat for 20 minutes. You want to mix flavors but maintain a slight crispness to the peppers…

In the meantime boil pasta in boiling salted water (see cooking time on package – 10 to 11 minutes)…

Drain pasta in a colander add back to a pan, stir, add the chopped feta cheese and pour the second half of the olive oil over the pasta…

Stir, sprinkle with salt and pepper plus basil…

Add sliced black olives…

Then I like to try to drain most of the oil from peppers that are simmering, with a slotted spoon and lay them as a topping on the pasta and feta, in your favorite plate or bowl…

Serve immediately with garlic bread or toast…

The Gum Department Store located in Downtown Moscow, is a showcase from the Soviet Era! We are always amazed when we go there; The building is old and gorgeous! Svetochka use to shop there when it was a Soviet Union Store. Now we go just to see the beautiful sites. It is a high dollar shopping experience with names from all over the world. I just thought that you might want to see what it looks like at GUM!Beautiful is what I call it! It is a treat to the senses…

Moscow Utility Buildings!

Update: Utility buildings now days are almost always painted by the locals…

Svetochka and I went several years ago to the part of Moscow that we lived in, when I first moved here. The area is called Yasenevo District. We went to take pictures of the utility buildings. They are beautifully painted. This is not done all over Moscow (it is now originally this post was 2010) and so far we have just seen it done only at Yasenevo…

I wanted to share some of the wonderful paintings, Most are not finished yet. Some are of, Alice in Wonderland. It all ways amazes me what you will find if you just open your eyes!

Svetochka is pulling the tail of the Cheshire Cat! That Zebra is about 15 feet tall!

I hope you enjoy the artwork.

Drink Milk…

You have to smile as you walk around. In Russia you never know what you will find on a billboard or the side of a truck. It is all good and not just Hollywood movie stars that are targeted…

Putin and Medvedev get their share of advertisement in Russia…

The above item in the image has caught my eye several times as I walk…

Today I decided to stop and walk into the yard at the flats it was in and check it out. From a distance I was thinking a handle to lift the concrete slab with….but it is a scooter and or bicycle lock system…

It is even wrapped in electrical tape to keep from scratching the bike. I think the lock is abandoned and non-used now, but creativity is the answer to many things…

Life is good in Russia…

When the ideas are flowing, I have to get the ideas down. They never stay the same if I let time flow by too long…

master…

But, I have to take the clutch master cylinder out of Sammy the Volga. We have the part and it has to be put in before we can get to the Tiny Russian Village. I am still fighting the remains of the flue and to be honest, I am scared of getting sick again. I have had pneumonia six times in my life and being weakened by the flue, makes that a possibility magnified…

So, I will wait until the weather is better and it is almost there. The next sun shiny day, I will be working on Sammy the Volga…

It was nice this winter, Sammy does not have any leaks inside her anymore. All the work done has sealed her up good and no water sitting in the floorboards. Older cars have always had issues with that and Sammy was no exception, but she is happy now…

Sammy the Volga fired right up after a month just sitting and waiting to get out of the snow and or ice. I am always amazed at how these Volga engines will start almost every time in any temperature. They are not a tight tolerance engine and I think that is the key to being able to survive the harshness of Russia. They are designed to simply run, not give super performance. When there is three feet of ice and snow on the ground, for four or five months and more. Performance is not high on the list. Just good low rpm power and running at -40 below…

Oh my goodness, Russians have some sweet tourist deals to Venice Italy, I mean dirt cheap and Svetochka is looking at me and pointing at the deals. I do not know how to swing it, but they are so cheap that to pass up a week in Venice at this price would be a crime. Besides, the Italians are being smart and questioning the status quo of the EU and the rest of the USA Western Empire. We need to help Italy out…

There is Svetochka pointing at those super Venice deals right now… 😉

I (but needs to be we) wanna go to China, if I was Russian that would be easy, being American takes much more effort to go to China…

Maybe next time….Svetochka is still pointing at Venice and dreaming…

Too much to do and too many things to get done…

I just wanna go to the Tiny Russian Village and walk, work and R&R…

Gillette: When I said I will, I do…

Not long ago, Gillette messed up big time…

http://windowstorussia.com/gillette-yes-anti-gillette-in-russia-also.html

In Globus they now just do not have Gillette, but now they have pushed Gillette to just s few razors and BIC and ten other Russian brands have appeared and taken over. In fact they were boxing up a bunch of Gillette stock this morning, no not putting out, boxing it up. I will never use another Gillette again…

I am not alone and I hope Gillette folds. I am sure it will not, but I can tell you that BIC is going all out to switch guys and gals here in Russia…

Svetochka has Ladies BIC…

I use what you see in the images and they are just as good as a twin Gillette with that strip of soap at the top of the razor…

I bought yesterday at 49 rubles for 5 shavers…

Lets say 10 rubles each and that is 15 cents USD…

Bottom line is: I hope Gillette is hurt and hurt bad. It should be hurt and it should be out of business. The line has been drawn for me and I will not cater to trash companies that want to get into politics and other unnecessary issues. They lost my business and that is that…

Sell your product, shut your mouth and be glad someone buys your crap…

Everyone / everything is replaceable…

Taking a break from writing my book…

It is interesting to me. I have written on WtR so long that I have a pattern and way of writing that does not transcend into the real world. Yes, my WtR world is written the way I want and how I want, even though I break all the rules of grammar and whatsits and or whatnot’s…

Therefore, when I write for publishing. I follow all the good stuff I was taught and try hard to forget. I also never drink coffee and or anything while typing a book. A book is all business, my WtR is all about life in Russia and how I see how Russia is being treated by the western world, my way…

Thus, I sip coffee, as I am doing right now and I don’t care if I say, “Ain’t gonna do what them want!”

It is kinda nice to sip some coffee and just tell the world what I think…

But alas, I need to finish my coffee and get back to typing seriously. I have two novelettes going at the same time and I am not sure how I did that…

In Moscow it was still freezing cold last night, but today it looks to be going to hit +6 and next week it will be +6 at night. Spring has finally sprung and that is wonderful…

This means Tiny Russian Village time is coming. We got to move lots of stuff from one home to our new home in TRV and then I have to spend the summer getting Svetochka’s mom’s home ready for the little monkey next summer…

Oh My!

With a new baby coming in the family, bigger monkey (Earnest) will need a break from the parents and that is what babushka’s (grandma) and or pro-babushka’s (great grandma) are for….besides I wanna teach him English and he can go and cause trouble as we pick on Russians… 😉

The sonograms do not show any signs of boy thingy wingy and the chances are it is going to be a little princess…

Oh My!

PS: Maybe Sveta and company will let me have a picture of Earnest to post?????

I never stop looking for that perfect 4X4…

I have the money given for donations for a 4X4 and when I find one worth looking at I look and dream and try to get closer to buying it…

It moves it says…but papers may be a issue. But….not in our village and it is strictly a village 4X4 to get out in the winter and not starve when the world freezes over. At exchange give or take = $450 as it is and very likely it can be gotten cheaper. The price is right and the shape of the LuAZ is ideal for the village…

These LuAZ 969 are so cool…
