Too Busy Today…

Got to get Sammy the Volga ready, got to pack and got to get the flat ready. It is time for a trip to the Tiny Russian Village…

I will post again in a few days. It will be sad, Boza will not be with us and he is so much of the Tiny Russian Village. That is one thing I have to do today; get all of Boza’s travel blankets and stuff from the car. I have delayed doing that, but today I will remove the last remains of Boza from the car. 🙁

Can’t wait to get to the village…

I want to see the white lilacs, our roses and our pine trees. Plus I have to install a new window and we have to look the home over carefully and see what shape everything is in…

WtR

PS: Will post Monday. Everything is wonderful in the Tiny Russian Village….white lilacs are alive, the rose is alive, the pear trees are huge and our baby pine has finally set its roots good…

Enough is Enough America…

Good…

The Washington Examiner tells Ukraine to start a war with Russia…

Ukraine should blow up Putin’s Crimea bridge

Russian President Vladimir Putin opened the Kerch Strait Bridge connecting Crimea, Ukraine, with mainland Russia on Tuesday. Putin did so by in a typical show of bravado by leading a column of transport vehicles across the bridge. Ukraine should now destroy elements of the bridge. While that course of action would be an escalation against Putin and one that would almost certainly spark Russian retaliation, this bridge is an outrageous affront to Ukraine’s very credibility as a nation. Of course, from Puti

This is one of the most asinine thing I have ever seen written and Russia is correct to apply a lawsuit against said parties involved…

The Russian Investigative Committee (RIC) has opened a criminal case against Tom Rogan, a journalist from the United States, who “recommended” Ukraine blow up the Crimean Bridge, Svetlana Petrenko, the official representative of the Russian RIC, said. “A criminal case has been opened against US citizen Tom Rogan who published an article titled “Ukraine should blow up Putin’s Crimea bridge” calling for the destruction of the Crimean Bridge by bombing it,” she said. According to the investigation, in the ar

This is a very real act of terrorism and in heavens name, how would the US respond if RT and or Sputnik ran a story about blowing up the Golden Gate bridge in America? This is blatant warmongering against Russia…

America you stepped off of the loony bin territory and now have gone totally bug %$^& terrorist….dangerous is no longer applicable, a terrorist is now who you are known as, America…

Never should have been printed, freedom of press is not an excuse to promote bombing other countries…

Some pictures of walking our big Russian city…

I love to find tidbits of the olden days: Water towers are one of my favorites to find…

Then readers know that I love flowers: This is the blossoms from a chestnut tree…

Never fear if there is a fence: Russians always cut a hole somewhere in that fence and it becomes a passage to the other side….Russians dislike their paths to be fenced off…

Not far from the hole in the fence above, is this wonderful path from the old days…

Everywhere after Victory Day celebrations, we had the children drawing images of what they saw, in chalk. Pretty cool actually….I did the same as a child…

Just thought you might want to see some images of that Evil Russian World I walk in. As you can see I am scared and fear for my life… 😉

I was around when…

I was around when min wage was $1 per hr. and the avg middle class made $700-$800 per month. A New car was about $1000, A 3 bed 1800 Sq ft House cost just $4000 or about $80-90 per month. Utilities for the same approximately, $20-$25 per month. Gasoline 17 to 20 cents per gallon. A loaf of bread 5 cents, average grocery bill was $25 a week. Price of a postage stamp just 3 cents. A visit to the family Doctor $10, and Emergency Room visit about $20. Full delivery for a baby was a measly $300 for full term Ob/Gyns and about $500 hospital 2 overnight stay in a private room. Minimum wage was instituted to protect children from being exploited. Adults rarely worked for minimum wage…

I remember a penny buying a sack of candy. Coffee was brewed in a percolator. Gold was $40 dollars n ounce. 25 cent movies. 50 cent a pound coffee. 20 cents for a pack of cigarettes. $1 pro baseball tickets. I remember many things…

I remember making $10 an hour to short line assemble combines and when I welded axles for those combines, I made $15 an hour. I remember being so damn rich that I would hold on to three or four paychecks before I deposited them in the bank…

I remember Edmond and bought everything through them to satisfy my mad scientist desires. I remember selling seeds and earning my first BB Gun, a Daisy Red Ryder Carbine. Oh those where the days…

I remember the bobby sock era. I remember dynamite as a normal item. I remember paper money backed by gold and silver. I remember S&H green stamps. Brownie cameras. Sinclare Dinosaurs if you filled up with gasoline…

I remember a whole different world than what we have now…

Could you imaging what we would remember if we lived to be a thousand years old?

Maybe it is better that we don’t live that long, for I still want to buy all those neat things found in comic book ads, such as x-ray glasses and I even remember cars with no turn signals. What do you think your arm was for?

What else?

Jeans were called dungarees. No dial on the phone, had to talk to the operator. Beating on your TV to get any type of picture and standing during sports events with the antenna at the window. TV was off the air by at least midnight. I remember way too much…

But it was fun and most of all I remember toys that used your brain and not batteries…

Guess I am too old…

Press release on threats from Ukrainian authorities to Russian shipping

Ukraine is pushing for serious issues. I would imaging soon Russia will be using warships to escort the ships being harassed. Russia is giving warning shots about this issue…

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation – № 825-28-04-2018

The number of Russian vessels illegally detained by the Ukrainian authorities has recently increased. Just two weeks after the Ukrainian coast guard unlawfully seized the Russian fishing ship The Nord and illegally detained the crew on March 25, an arrest warrant was issued for a Trans Services Maritime vessel.

On April 25, 2018, the Ukrainian cabinet supported an initiative of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and issued an executive order on banning transit and shipping cargoes through the Ukrainian territory by vessels under the Russian flag or owned by persons registered in the Russian Federation, as well as any other vessels regardless of the flag they sail under, which had in the past entered seaports of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

With regard to these provocative actions by the Ukrainian authorities against Russian vessels and citizens of the Russian Federation, the Foreign Ministry draws attention of shipping companies to the real risks of pirate seizure of Russian vessels by the Ukrainian security agencies.

Amazing… co2 power

BEIJING, May 16 (Xinhua) — Chinese researchers have developed a new method to turn carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas, into clean liquid fuel such as methanol.

The breakthrough might help mitigate the greenhouse effect caused by carbon emissions, and promote the development of new clean energies.

A research team led by Professor Zeng Jie, at the University of Science and Technology of China, developed a new catalyzer with platinum as the raw material. The catalyzer can effectively convert carbon dioxide into methanol, which is also a basic raw material of the chemical industry.

The study was published in the academic journal, Nature Nanotechnology.

The effects of the China–Russia gas deal on energy consumption, carbon emission, and particulate matter pollution in China | npj Climate and Atmospheric Science

After more than two decades of negotiation, the China–Russia gas deal represents a new era of energy cooperation between China and Russia. In total, this is a win–win deal for both sides. For China, the deal will decrease energy consumption and carbon emission but will not significantly influence air quality; for Russia, it will provide a new market for its gas resources.
