Coffee Thoughts from a far away village…

imagesI write less about what is happening in the world and more about the village, when I am in the village. I try to ignore the trashy main stream media and the death spiral of the western world and it is easy to succeed when life is as good as it is in the village, but I do have coffee thoughts and once in awhile they have to come out and they have to be said…

Within the next week, I have plans to build a small playground down in the lower part of the village. It is what I want to do and it dawned on me this morning, as I sat at the spot that I will build this playground, I must do it and do it I will…

This morning I made up my mind as to what I will build; 1.) bench to sit at, 2.) teeter totter, 3.) slide, and 4.) sand box…

I chuckle at the sand box idea, for this place is nothing but sand, therefore it is fitting to have a sand box… (hehe…)

* * * * * * * * * *

Though, what is happening in the world, should not be ignored, maybe we should not stare at it everyday and dwell upon the crap that seems to be permeated through out the whole world and nowhere is excused from this permeation. Therefore, while parts of the world is much better off than other parts of the world, the whole stinking world is into deep dodo and it, the world (humans to be exact) needs to get its act together. I read a online page the other day and it fit exactly what I feel the west has become and the west is. Sadly though the rest of the world is trying to jump off the cliff right along with the west…

Lucky Frog

A man takes the day off from work and decides to go out golfing. He is on the second hole when he notices a frog sitting next to the green. He thinks nothing of it and is about to shoot when he hears, “Ribbit. 9 Iron”

The man looks around and doesn’t see anyone. “Ribbit. 9 Iron.” He looks at the frog and decides to prove the frog wrong, puts the other club away, and grabs a 9 iron. Boom! he hits it 10 inches from the cup. He is shocked. He says to the frog, “Wow that’s amazing. You must be a lucky frog, eh?” The frog reply’s “Ribbit. Lucky frog.” The man decides to take the frog with him to the next hole. “What do you think frog?” the man asks. “Ribbit. 3 Wood.”

The guy takes out a 3 wood and Boom! Hole in one.

The man is befuddled and doesn’t know what to say. By the end of the day, the man golfed the best game of golf in his life and asks the frog, “Where to next?” The frog replies, “Las Vegas.” They go to Las Vegas and the guy says, ” OK frog, now what?” The frog says, “Ribbit. Roulette.” Upon approaching the roulette table, the man asks, “What do you think I should bet?” The frog replies, “Ribbit. $3000, black 6.” Now, this is a million to one shot to win, but after the golf game, the man figures what the heck. Boom! Tons of cash comes sliding back across the table. The man takes his winnings and buys the best room in the hotel. He sits the frog down and says, “Frog, I don’t know how to repay you. You’ve won me all this money and I am forever grateful.” The frog replies, “Ribbit. Kiss me.”

He figures why not, since after all the frog did for him he deserves it. With a kiss, the frog turns into a gorgeous 15 year old girl.

“And that your honor, is how the girl ended up in my room.”

This quote above sums up the west in a nutshell; just look around and listen to the happenings around you right now. Everything is being driven by a immorality that has no understanding of what it is doing, nor cares what it is doing to the world. I see a very large bulldozer without an operator and it is running full speed toward the horizon, it will be stopped, but how much damage does it do before it grinds to a halt, in its death trajectory?

I do not even try to listen, but lately we have become a turmoil of a world, terror here, terror there, gay rights here, gay rights there, give me this, give me that, steal this, steal that, bomb this, bomb that, control this, control that, smash this, smash that, kill this, kill that, point at that, point at this, racism this, racism that, what God, why God, who God, when God, no God, separate God, freedom is, freedom that, freedom gone, liberty rich, liberty poor, lazy this, lazy that, sloth, jealousy, greed, games, death, secrets, hidden, power, mine, yours, theirs, ours, control, rules, narcissism, abort, selfish, desires, material items, the Joneses,  bribes, corruption, deals, hate, and a million more, but maybe the worst thing is that we have hugged the worst thing of all. We have gathered within our arms, “Amorality as a means to try to cover our Immorality!”

* * * * * * * * * *

I look at my country and shake my head, just like I did in the past when we made a spectacle out of abortion, gay rights, same sex marriage, we actually make a game out of literally anything, as long as it covers up the reality and we do not think about real and wrong…

We Americans have lost; we allowed our government to bomb us, terrorize us, imprison us, control us, coddle us, buy us, gamble us and a thousand more things. We are lost and not even worthy of the term sheeple. A sheep has value and we have none to be technical about it…

I will leave this post with one last thought:

Americans have reached the point that it is literally impossible to reverse the damage that has been done by our government. The only recourse is the last recourse, for all others have been silently shoved aside and buried. Americans have to physically take our country back. Not legally as in a court system (for it is corrupt,) not verbally (for they silence you,) not at a Tupperware party, not at a Avon party, not at a school board meeting, not as a peaceful demonstration (which simply means we are sissified,) not with elections, not with burning bras, not with sit-ins, not with smoking pot, not with doing hard drugs, not with alcohol, not with ignorance, not with deals, but simply with everyone getting off their fat ass (including mine) and marching upon DC and respective governmental arrangements all over the US and remove the trash from office. We need to step back and take a whole lot of discomfort upon ourselves and start over. Give up our luxuries, our toys, our lives, our games, or immorality and take back our souls, then remove the thieves from office, that we have allowed to take over our sentience and control it with minor fluff and stuff…

It is time for people to realize what is worth dying for and what is not worth dying for; we should look at East Ukraine real closely, they have nothing but their souls and they will fight to the death to keep their souls clean from the detritus that the west is trying to shove down their throats. Do you think that we Americans could do the same?

As I said, “impossible…”

Maybe stepping back to anarchy is necessary, then we start over…

Does that scare you? Well it is better than the world that a handful of people have in mind for us all…

Time to think people…

PS: People who read Sci-Fi will understand what I say next – There have been writers in the past that have predicted what is happening in the world. I have read many books that have pegged the way the world has developed and while the books are great as fiction; when I see them as becoming reality, they scare me…

Humans are really dark minded and we do not have to be that way…

Saturday is Fish Day in the Summer…

Everyday in the village is something different. Like Tuesday is my Big Village day, Sunday is Market Day, and so on and so on. Well Saturday is fish day, because the ponds are full of delicious carp and everyone needs some extra drinking money for the weekend… 🙂

Carp pond grown...
Twenty four fish…

Last weekend I did not buy any, but this weekend I decided to stock up on fish and bought around 4 kilos. I paid them something for the fish, but for some reason, they want to give me the fish every time. They always try to just act like they do not want my money and today I made them take it. They do not have an issue with charging elderly for the fish at 70 rubles a kilo and what I gave them was still not enough money for what I got. They refused to take more. I paid 200 rubles for all that fish…

Fish cleaning time...
Fish cleaning time…

My buddy bought a 1000 rubles worth and my neighbors Nikolia and Larissa bought two fish. That was all they could afford as they counted out single rubles. I gave them three more fish and ran away, refusing money that they do not have… 🙂

Vova my buddy is doing what I did and he cleans them and freezes them. Then as you need to make soup and grilled fish, walla, you have plenty to even have guests. Just like I did today at our picnic table. Vova came down and we sat under the shade trees and had hard boiled eggs, fresh garden tomatoes and fresh garden new onions. We talked about everything, well actually Vova talked about everything and I listened and agreed, for he talked so fast that not a whole lot makes sense. But I made enough sense out of it all and we had a good time…

It makes for a great Saturday and a breeze was blowing, the sun shining and the trees in a perfect spot for shade…

I now have enough meat for three weeks at least and that will save me a fortune in money. Then I will stock up again…

Have a nice day, for Boza and I sure are…

New Village Transformer; A Miracle…

After we get our power back on, my next post is about the new power transformer and power poles we are getting today. Our village is getting updated in the utility section and we are cheering the power company on. Three new poles and a whole new transformer area. Yippy…

I am told that we will have almost no outages now? I always question that out here in the middle of nowhere, but we can dream…

Come back tomorrow and see if we have power yet…

Kyle

* * * * * * * * * *

Tomorrow it is… 🙂

My my how we have progressed into the next century here in the village. It is almost sad to see the old beast go, but since it breaks down twenty times a week and my Buddy is getting older and grouchier to continually climb a ladder to fix the old beast, the new transformer is a welcome addition…

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Now since it is new and they have to come back to install three new poles where we have rotted wood poles, I will reserve anymore comments about reliability until a future date. But it looks pretty and that counts for something; doesn’t it?

I included a picture of the cover lid with the Russian utilities and writing. There is a reason; I am literally daily told that I am a fake! I am told that I am a Russian acting like an American and or I am faking pictures. So I decided to allow you to see something real hard for me to fake in America. The cover to an electric transformer box. It is strange, but after all these years and 5000 plus posts, you would think that even the most ardent hating people would understand that I live in Russia and that I am an American… 🙂

But who cares! What ever and all that… I live in Russia and I love it; Get Over It!

The last image of the gallery is my real concern, we have had terrible storms and while I have complained for years that we need to buy new windows for the village home, I have spoke and it fell upon deaf ears. Well the waiting is over and I am trying to salvage what I can out of the two side windows and create one window. The other window will be covered over, until I can find windows to replace them both with…

The storm hit and it was truly cyclone in nature. I had Boza in my arms and we were sitting in the chair next to the window that escaped and then all of a sudden, the front window blew inwards and the screen exploded into the room and as the wind whirled, it had only one way out and it went through the window next to me. That window was half closed and that is what finished it off. It was old and rotted, but the wind was terrible and it blew the window clean out of the house, right into the cherry trees. It tore my internet modem cables and scared Boza and I half to death… 🙂

I had to quickly cover the window with a screen I had and I used staples to put it in place. It will do for now, until I can swap windows and utilize the window we never use. Actually it allows lots of air to come in and that is good…

100_9397

Those little demons above, desperate to get in, are why I had to seal the window with a screen so fast. I am lucky I had the screen to do the job with, or I would be a mosquito pincushion right now…

Oh, but my roofs stayed on and do not leak! That is a good thing…

Have a nice day, for we will…

Goodbye from Boza and I…

The Russian Orthodox Monastery in Sunrise to Freedom…

20140516_135924r

May 21, 2014; is when I wrote this article. Updated; June 26, 2015…

I have written many articles about this village that we have a home in and I have been upset in  the past when certain unscrupulous preacher boys have tried to rip the village off and greed was the motive. The era of slight of hand preacher boys seems to be over and now it looks as if a real Orthodox Priest has taken over…

Update; I have watched the last few years and can say confidently that the Priest in charge now, while somewhat lazy at times, cares and has his heart in the right place. He has a flock of followers and it is growing monthly. He has several very reliable monks that keep things going at the monastery. While I believe that they should live here full time, they seem to get the job done, albeit slowly at times. I also am starting to realize that the main priest has more than one church to deal with (?) and in fact may be overwhelmed at times with all he has to do. So I will continue to reserve full judgement as I always do…

http://windowstorussia.com/russian-weekend-russian-way_18.html

I have been watching since I have come to the village and I have to say that I will give the benefit of the doubt and get my hopes up. I hope that they really do rebuild this place and that it becomes a place for God again. Now I am not saying that God is not here, I am saying that I hope man does what is right and lets the village be what it does best, a place to worship God…

Update; As you can see last year I was still skeptical. I have been right to allow hope to over ride other thoughts and hope won. The monastery is growing and time is all that is needed to get it back to the house of God it was. Actually it is a house of God, but since people have to see to believe, then time will allow growth as the monastery develops from the ashes of destruction of the old days…

Zarya Svobody is the name officially of our village The locals call it Commune and I call it Sunrise to Freedom. I interpret the name as being Dawn of Freedom therefore, Sunrise to Freedom fits just fine…

Update; Though I must use the term Communa to make sure people know where I live…

Now what has gotten me going about all this is the fact that they are working on getting a new roof on the bell tower as I write this. Two men spend everyday Monday through Friday and they work on the bell tower. They have somehow managed to lift beams that are huge and weigh tons each, high up into the tower with just their hands and pulley ropes They have rebuilt the staircases that transverse to the tower top and they are laying beams to re-floor the complex. Anyone who has been following me knows that I have tons of pictures about this tower and it has never looked better than it does now. I also am understanding that they are planning to rebuild the church that was destroyed during Soviet times…

Update; The church is being unearthed as you read this and the bell tower is weather tight in the main tower section. There ended up being five men working on the tower last summer and while the roof never was installed, the bell was installed and a sealed floor below the bell. It had to do with cost and time, but a roof is planned in the future. (There is planned a wall around the whole monastery as in all monasteries and they have been surveying the area, getting ready for that.) I have had the pleasure of seeing inside the bell tower and it is wonderfully beautiful, even if you would call it rough and plain. The inside seems twice as large as it looks from the outside, that I attribute to the sheer size of the tower. The bell tower sings it song three times a week as the monk reliably shows up to hold worship, even when he is alone…

http://windowstorussia.com/life-in-village-is-it-too-crowded_18.html

This is very important to me and should be to you also. The preservation of a Christian based society is important in this world and never more so than the way things are preeminent now in a vicious declining circle…

I call it the commonality death spiral…

The Russia I Live In (Part Two)

The Russia I live now in is almost exactly like the world I grew up in as a child in the U.S.A. and that should tell you a lot. But it seems as I get older, less and less people would/will understand what I mean, by what I just said…

Too many in America do not experience what I grew up with and that is a downfall of a country. It is called the roots of the country and every kid on earth should have fields of grain, dirt roads, flowing rivers to explore, with a dog…

That is the Russia I live in…

Gully Washer…

IMG0691ALast night it rained and it rained so hard that our roads washed out. I walked around and looked at things this morning and see that there is no way that I can get the car out of our spot in the village, until I do some filling of holes, deep holes. Then I remembered what my grandma would have said, “That there is a gully washer of a rainstorm!”

Except it missed the gully and washed the road away, all over the place. We have sand roads and this is what happens when the water floods the place. Just part of nature and the village life…

I have a lot of readers that would have no idea what a gully is; A gully is deep ditch or channel cut in the ground by freely running water, after a prolonged downpour of heavy rain…

The gully washer of a storm had its purposes though. I took a shower and Boza watched from the doorway of the village home and as the thunder and lightning crashed all around, I saw in his eyes a worry that maybe his owner is nuts and needs help…

He watched as I soaped up and scrubbed myself, just like if I was in Moscow and was taking a shower. It felt so good and the rain fell so hard and long that I was able to shower for over a half of an hour, then I decided that since the storm is getting worse, I best be getting inside. I am clean as a whistle…

The house did not leak one time through this storm and now I am satisfied that the roofs are all good on the village home…

It was hard to get up this morning, but up we got, even if an hour later than normal, then walked around looking at the damage done to the village and found interesting things washed up from deep in the sand at places. I dragged home several big rocks that were part of the original monastery as corner stones and all in all the village looks good. Very few people here right now and therefore, Boza and I can run freely everywhere…

Caught another picture of a hawk yesterday. This picture was taken with my old Olympus camera. I cleaned it up and decided to try it out…

It still works…

American Defense Secretary Ashton Carter:

Physicist for War and Profit

by John Stanton

Most Americans apply a yardstick to America’s actions which is very different than the yardstick they apply to Russia’s actions. Whenever their bias in favor of their own nation gets into conflict with the truth, the odds are that the bias will prevail. As a result of this they are not capable of seeing current events in their historical perspective…In Washington, wisdom has no chance to prevail at this point…If we intend to drop bombs on Russia in case of war, and expect Russia to drop bombs on us…then our threat to drop bombs on Russia is tantamount to murder and suicide.” Leo Szilard: “Are We On The Road To War? (1961)

The US defense secretary, Ashton Carter, is the face of all that is wrong in Washington, DC. But he is “Mr. Right” for the varied capital interests and ideologies he represents: the fusion of neoliberalism and neo-conservatism; state sponsored corporate welfare; the revolving door; opportunism and greed; the “free market”; and a science and technology that is first and foremost in the service of weapons and war.

Carter has absolutely nothing in common with the rank and file of the military (those at the tip-of-the spear) who he ostensibly is supposed to represent. He would never go out beyond-the-wire.

“Ash” is a one percent guy, representing the one or so percent that moves and shakes the classes that make up society like the puppeteer does marionettes. Carter’s primary interest is in further privatizing, and eliminating, the State’s role in national security for the purpose of providing more profit opportunities for defense contractors, weapons research laboratories and his bank account. Even his two marriages seem arranged for political/economic purposes: his ex-wife, and 1977 college graduate, is president of Bates College in Maine; and the current Mrs., a 1991 college graduate, is a partner in ABS Capital.

The honorable US defense secretary studied physics, receiving his PhD from Oxford. His specialty was quantum chromodynamics, a field of study in which two of the giants of 20th Century physics, Nobel Laureates Richard Feynman and Murray Gell-Mann, set the pace. Perhaps figuring he’d not make the Nobel Prize cut or had reached the end of his shelf life in the physics research community, Carter opted to pursue the profitable path of science and technology in the service of weapons and war, and the individuals and organizations that design strategies and technologies that require that America remain in a perpetual state of war of some kind.

Carter, and like-minded technocrats seeking to cozy up to monstrous global capital and power, has achieved a measure of wealth and fame over the years parlaying his technical and interpersonal acumen (contacts) in halls of government and in board rooms to maximum advantage for himself and vested interests. The Project on Government Oversight’s piece on Carter titled “Taking the Revolving Door to a Whole New Level” is illuminating in this regard. Carter is certainly no Leo Szilard (founder of the Council for a Livable World and heavyweight 20th Century physicist) being more in the mold of Edward Teller, a strident supporter of missile defense systems.

“…Carter’s role, like that of many other members of Washington’s defense policy establishment, went deeper. While working in the private sector, he has held plum positions on government advisory boards that called for reforms with potential ramifications for his defense industry clients and other companies that receive DoD dollars…Carter’s investment colleagues at Global Technology Partners included other former senior officials—such as former Secretary of Defense William Perry and former CIA Director John Deutch— who were serving simultaneously as advisers to DoD. Perry and Deutch also had close ties to giant defense contractors: Perry served on the boards of UTC and Boeing, while Deutch served on the board of Raytheon.

From 1997 to 2001, Carter also served as a member of the Defense Policy Board, another influential Pentagon committee that advises on ‘issues central to strategic Department of Defense (DoD) planning,” according to its charter. Unlike the Defense Science Board, the Defense Policy Board “does not publish separate reports,’ according to a database of federal advisory committees, and it’s unclear what role Carter played in the panel’s work. Nonetheless, Carter’s industry clients stood to benefit from his role as a Pentagon advisor on both panels. (Another former member of the Defense Policy Board, Richard Perle, ended up resigning after a controversy erupted over his ties to companies that had business pending before the government.)”

At the time of Global Technology Partners (GTP) press release/announcement of the alliance with Rothschild, besides Perry and Deutch, GTP key staff included former Pentagon undersecretary of defense for technology John Kaminski and John White, former Pentagon deputy defense secretary. William Perry figures prominently in Andrew Cockburn’s “Kill Chain. The Rise of the High Tech Assassins”, being in the forefront of automated killing machines.

Carter, according to the document on the GTP-Rothschild alliance, was listed as having this expertise: “…a Senior Partner of Global Technology Partners, LLC. From 1993 to 1996, Dr. Carter served as U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Policy, with responsibility for formulating U.S. policy towards Russia and other states of the former Soviet Union, proliferation of weapons of mass destruction worldwide, arms control negotiations, and oversight of the U.S. nuclear arsenal and missile defense programs. He is also the former Chairman of the NATO High Level Group.”

Carter is well positioned, for the benefit of current and former clients—to include the next president of the United States (Republican or Democrat)–to lead the charge against Russia and China. As the Project for Government Oversight pointed out, Carter has been a champion of missile defense technology and deployment for decades. Let’s turn, in contrast to Carter, to Murray Gell-Mann, a physicist who worked on anti-ballistic missile defense systems in the 1960’s. He concluded that they would be destabilizing. “And the conclusions were very negative, that is, that it [ABM] would drastically reduce our security, and that we would be much better off if both the United States and the Soviet Union refrained from deploying significant ABM systems…” Fast forward to 2015 and the issues central to the deployment of ABM systems, or missile defense systems, remains largely unchanged: escalation to defeat the defensive system always ensues.

Gell-Mann, and Szilard, acutely recognized the fragility of the planet and the human race. They knew, having seen first-hand the destructive power at humanity’s disposal, that shortsightedness and narrowly defined interests—unchecked–will kill or alter the species beyond recognition. “…what might, what the human race might do to achieve greater sustainability in the course of the twenty-first century, which is when it really has to happen, because now is the time when we’ve reached the inflexion point in total human population and the rate of increase is beginning to decrease. It’s the time when we’ve reached the stage where human beings can make changes of order one in the whole globe, whether through unwise economic activity or through destructive war; and this is clearly the time when if a set of transitions to a more sustainable world is to occur, they must occur,” said Gell-Mann.

That Coffee Pot in Heaven…

IMG0687ASometimes I carry a cup of coffee with me as Boza and I take our first walk of the day. It was 3:30 a.m. and the sun was just starting to peak over the horizon. The fog disliked the sun and ran away to hide and after awhile, it had hidden well enough to see the world again. I sat down upon my little homemade seat at the monastery and sipped that last dredge of cold coffee from the cup. Then it hit me…

IMG0689AWhere is the coffee pot to refill my cup with?

I as you can see from the image to the left, was sitting at the same spot that I was stumbling around the other night in the super dense fog. that is the door to the right and I nailed it shut, plus spiked the large beams into the wood of the door also. Yes, I am very familiar with this particular area and like to sit here, because a breeze always blows through the open door I sit in. The roof is gone and it creates a wind tunnel anytime of the day…

My seat is at the bottom of the image…

Therefore, now you know where I sit to meditate sometimes, though this morning, I wished for another cup of hot delicious coffee and there was no coffee pot or even a coffee machine nearby… 🙂

That did not stop me from thinking and what crossed my mind was if everyone had a spot like this to think and contemplate what their decisions, actions and desires cause upon the world at large and around themselves. maybe we would have a better world…

I truly believe that we humans are unable to understand that we are just animals and much of our reactions is pure mindless motions and emotions. It also dawned on me that it is easy to be evil! Evil takes no effort as its design is that way, good is hard to do. Being good means we must resist things, things we desire, being bad means we do not have to resist anything. Why; we can love God and still dance the tune of the Devil in the background…

We are natural hypocrites…

I use to watch, at my Baptist University in a dry county (no alcohol,) the baptist leaders, who preached no dancing and no alcohol to the young college students, gather across the county line to a wet county (lots of alcohol,) by the hundreds and dance and party hearty many times. I knew all their nasty secrets, for I directed their food service and very few people know more about the lies, games and playings, than the person who feeds the parties. Hypocrisy at its best…

Thus, sooner than later, I was driven to rise, by a sin of mine! That desire for another cup of coffee…

cup of steaming coffeeAs I was walking home, I realized that if God had just put a coffee pot up at the monastery, or even a coffee machine (for I would have been glad to pay for a cup of coffee,) I could have stayed longer and thought more about life…

But then again, he may have had enough of my thoughts this morning and wanted me to go home… 😉

Have a nice day…

Weekly Trip to Big Village…

javaEvery week I make a half day trip to the Big Village (Сараях) and I try to make that one trip. I have a standing order for four cases of dog food for Boza at the local pet store, I go to Magnet grocery store for me, stop at the pie kiosk for goodies to eat and pick up anything else that I will need to work on the house during the week. This is all that is necessary for me to survive comfortably in the small village. Actually I am about ready to try to get everything consolidated and only go to the Big Village once every two weeks. Then work it down to once every month. That is the ultimate goal, to make one trip a month to get supplies…

I am not sure that I can get by on only once a month, but I simply dislike leaving the village home and would prefer never leaving, but Boza likes his dog food and I like my sasiskas as a treat. That desire for the best sasiskas (pig in the blanket) might drive me to travel to the Big Village twice a month…

The one thing that I am noticing is that prices are dropping, I mean dropping like a rock in water. Three weeks ago I bought two 5 liters of water at 49 rubles per bottle. Two weeks ago I bought two more same brand, same store, 39 rubles per bottle. Then today I bought two more, same conditions as previous and they now cost 25 rubles per bottle of five liters. I have switched to strictly black bread and buy nothing else  anymore, price has dropped drastically and today, I picked up two loaves of fresh black bread, still hot from the oven, for 5.9 rubles a loaf. That is 11 cents, American Dollars for a huge loaf of bread. Why; You can find 11 cents (6 rubles) laying in the gutter and eat really great bread here in Russia…

Bananas are 46 rubles a kilo, cabbage is 5 rubles a kilo, and I sneaked a Russian candy bar into my belly at 9.7 rubles a bar. It was made of sunflower seeds and a hard cracked sugar candy. Delicious and as big as a Snickers bar, that cost 48 rubles. That is the stuff I talk about and see…

The reason I am saying the above last few paragraphs is that I am confused about what I see about Russia in the Western Press. I see story after story of how Russia is dying, dead, evil, unable to care for her people, and everyone is eating there firstborn, second born, third born and newborns to stay alive. The situation is so bad according to the west, that Russians are going to rip Putin from the Kremlin and eat him, because they are starving, as he eats high on the hog every meal. The lies are pathetic, but I see real life and you can believe what you want, but the Russians have started manufacturing everything! They have restarted, reinvented, reopened, redesigned and put a flame under so many asses and got everything in gear, that from bottled water, candy bars, bug spray, to toilet paper. Russia makes it and has replaced everything with virtually no exceptions, the products that use to be imported into Russia from Europe…

I do not get it and I do not understand what the west is trying to accomplish?

Why live a life of lies? Are they proud to do so?

PS: I am going to pick more strawberries and dry them for Sveta! That is what Boza and I are going to do. Have a nice day living in your lies…

Drying Wild Strawberries…

Sveta hinted to me, maybe trying to dry some wild strawberries for her and her mother, to use in tea. Since Sveta will not be here in the village until way after strawberry season ends and cannot get her own. Therefore, Boza and I went out around noon today, after nailing the door shut on the bell tower (Here,) and picked some wild strawberries. I found that no one but no one, found a big patch of strawberries and believe you me, they stripped the rest of the huge field; (There has been a hundred people all over the fields the last few days.) I am going to act like they will be there tomorrow morning and be happy with the handful I picked today. Noon was a bad time to go, for the horseflies wanted me bad and they even tried to eat Boza…

There has to be gallons of these tasty treats left to pick (in my spot) and more coming…

Now I am experimenting with our dehydrator and tomorrow we will see if it is worth picking more wild strawberries, with the devils own flying demons protecting the fields from Boza and I…

I also have read up about dried wild strawberry leaves for a wonderfully healthy tea. I am picking them tomorrow and see how the dehydrator works with that. I understand that the leaves have to be either fresh or completely dry and not wilted (otherwise in between is bad.) I will dry them, then zip lock bag them and have it for Sveta when she shows up?

Plenty of leaves left no matter what and right now plenty of fresh strawberries also…

Have a nice day, for we sure will…
